The cry by stakeholders within the foreign exchange subsector due to stringent policies which have stifled key segments of the economy has not been greeted with apposite explanations and measures to counter or ameliorate the longsuffering of these stakeholders. Yes, we may be trying to maintain the strength of our currency; nonetheless, do we have adequate mitigation strategies to cushion the attendant corresponding risks to other directly related segments? Answer to bolded part is a resounding NO |

The misguided comment by the President to favour a section of Nigerians who amassed votes in his interest over those who did not, is the most irresponsible remark that a leader of a multicultural and diversified country like Nigeria can spurn. It is baseless, unfounded and unconstitutional. It is a reflection of how polarized and poorly prepared the President was.The day I saw the video, that day I denounced my belief in the sincerity of Mr President to holistically lead the country . Will his supporters here say same as this writer cum buhari supporter had done? |

Being a Change Agent, I am quite disappointed at the lingering fuel crisis that has besieged every nook and cranny of the nation. Prices have skyrocketed beyond 300% of the official selling price and no meaningful action or proposed actions from the government |

Buhari stock-in-trade is this; The finger pointing and exaggerated magnification of the inherited problems shrouded in a “siddon-look” approach, do-nothing and talk-nothing, further enhanced the frustration of a larger cross section of Nigerians. Majority of the President’s fans have expressed well conceived displeasures at the present waning status of activities and events |

Politics › Re: Protest In Biafra: Go Your Own Way- The Economist by Whynotthetruth(m): 9:42pm On Nov 27, 2015 |
Idrismusty97: The Biafra issue isn't like the Catalonia or Palestinian issue. The worlds medias know about it and are pinning it all on "Bad governance". BBC said they are protesting for a "Better Nigeria", The economist said the protest was fuel by politicians and bad governance. They equally mentioned Boko haram and the militants. The world are not really in sympathy with you, It is unlikely for you to even get your Biafra soon because they have been an unlikely change of government. Buhari just has to prove he isn't like the past leaders and the UN would shut your Biafra mouths. 1)Get a lawyer to help you interpret both the implicit and explicit meaning of the quoted below; Superficially, they were sparked by the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, the outspoken head of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)movement, and director of Radio Biafra, a pirate station. But the grievances run deep. Nigeria did not exist until British colonialists drew a line around hundreds of fractious ethnic groups dominated by the Igbo in the east, the Yoruba in the west, and the Hausa-Fulani in the north. The country’s regions have jostled for power ever since. Predominantly Igbo protesters have not forgotten that tens of thousands of their people were killed BEFORE Biafra unilaterally declared independence in 1967 . 2)Boko haram was mentioned as a warning to buhari of what may most likely happen if NNamdi were to get a scratch... 3)Militants were mentioned as a warning too of more impending danger for tomorrow... 4)Sometimes it is good you drop your prejudiced lens while reading so as to aid comprehension... thanks |

bokohalal: Your use of the adverb STILL is very suggestive. You already believe that Igbanke is discriminated against by the Binis. Let an Igbanke indigene come on this forum or anywhere else and make a case of the nature of Bini discrimination. I did read here and some other places of such misgiving hence my question... |

willow0802: Brother Forgiveness!, think about the average yoruba man, do you think they all agree with their leaders? infact the yorubas love the igbos and are always proud to have them geographically close. we need each other to progress, even most yorubas eat igbo food nowadays and even cook them at home. i'm not trying to woo anyone but i thought about the benefits and decided to air my view. If you're Yoruba then you're exceptional ...You don't really sound like them here |

FreeGlobe: Nigerians Growing Poorer For First Time Since 1999 - Businessday
Nigerians are growing poorer for the first time since the return to democracy in 1999 as an economic slowdown combines with still high population growth rates to curb income per capita. Average incomes in Nigeria will fall by about 18 percent in 2015 to $2,550 per annum, from over $3,000 in 2014.

Grinch: A speech by Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe: "Racism will never end as long as white cars are still using black tires. Racism will never end if people still use black to symbolize bad luck and white for peace. Racism will never end if people still wear white clothes to weddings and black clothes to funerals. Racism will never end as long as those who don't pay their bills are blacklisted not white-listed. Even when playing snooker. You haven't won until you've sunk the black ball, and the white ball must remain on the table. But I don't care, as long as I'm still using white toilet paper to wipe my black butt , I'm fine!".. |

So I am selfish because I dont want my husband turning me to his boss and he is my P.A? Sometimes he would hold my purse or handbag and sometimes people would begin to ask "Is he your husband or your driver?" Are you looking for public approval or what?...Maybe when you meet the bossy type like me, you will know why buhari is a scam |
