Update
Today car was scanned, no codes,
ATF was drained, dark pinkish with no metal scrapping.
Filter was dirty like it was folded inside, replaced with a new one
Refilled with WS fluid

Test drove, no jerks, shifts okay

Will still drive more days to observe performance

It was very scary and could have hit the vehicle in front.
The hard bump can throw any one out of a window

What do you suggest I do , drain and clean filter? Or scan.
There are no CEL or malfunction codes on instrument cluster.

Car : 2007 Lexus RX350 AWD.

Dear Car repair Enthusiasts, I am in need of an urgent fix.

Feb Sat 4th: Changed front axles due to the slight to heavy shudder while accelerating from stop , car would shake and smoothen out
Then steering vibrating above 100km/hr.

The car was allowed 24hrs before the axle change , right in my compound.
Car Parked around 4pm, Friday, axle installed Saturday 6pm.
Oil drained and filled with Toyota WS.
Filter has never been cleaned.

Feb Mon 6th, while in traffic I experienced a forward jerk/ bump from transmission ,nearly hit a truck in front of me. This was experienced 3x

I refused to drive the car to work, so as not to cause any additional damages.

look at the sway bay bushing.
the sway bar, usually called stabilizar bar is a semi thick iron rod 19mm to 35mm diameter in most cars that runs from 1 side to the other side. the are are held onto the car with rubber bushings, its difficult to see with the human eye if the bushings are worn, simply change them with the apprioprate size/type

Very correct .Please check sway bar bushing that supports a long rod that links both front ends . there is a rubber bushing on both ends.

Funny Funny ....
The problem was the rear axle. We put the car on stands and gear in neutral. The driver rear tyre wobbled and it was observed the axles were bad. The outer joints even clicked when turned .

It is being fixed as I type. The mechanic has gone to get the replacent axle.

Reason I said so is , I had a 2005 honda pilot which had same issue and my mechanic detected and fixed.
Did not change the CV joint, he replaced some ring like bearing and greased.
Fast forward today with my Rx350.
I reminded him of d same and he disagreed that it must be this or that.

Yesterday I called my uncle who is seasoned with cars and he said same thing which aligns with what you just pointed.

I will fix asap. And it is time I change mechanic, he is loosing competence.

Even with the old parts , the same symptoms. There are other parts that can cause this.
CV Joint, upper strut mount, tierod (even if they look okay visually )

This is a 4wd version

Hi ,
My car has been a joy until recently.
I have been battling with a harmonic / steering wheel vibration for 2 months now and can't solve this problem.
There is a bouncy (not smooth) movement on low speed, medium speed and steering wheel vibration at 120+
You feel a shaky pulsation on steering wheel when moving

Fixes so far
1. Changed pads and disc rotor (genuine toyota) - 1 week ago
2. 4 brand New tires (Tigar Michelin) 2days ago . Replaced the Michelin the car came with
3. Multiple wheel balancing and alignment done.
4. Caliper changed to ascertain if the former was sticky- 2days ago
5. Wheel hubs changed , because i was hearing a sort of helicopter sound. that solved that.

I don't hear any click on CV joints when turning
All engine mounts have been confirmed okay

What else can I do please....Gazuz and others please help a brother.

We cant afford to do guessing works in the current economic recesion

2005Honda pilot EXL is equipped with Variable Torque Management 4WD (VTM-4) which kicks in automatically when the wheels need to balance torque to rear wheel or when the PCM determines a skid or slippage.
This can also be manually engage by pressing the VTM4 switch and selecting a lower gear.
The answer is YES
