Thanks Mayor. Thanks it's behave same with old cv joint. I failed to add that its worst when I have people in my car especially sitting in the rear. |
Pls i am need of advise on a problem i am currently experiencing on my car. Kindly let me state the history behind my Lexus RX350 2007 4wd. Beautiful car with a 2GR engine. This is a car that I have been driving for three years now so i know the importance of OEM parts which i source from CARID and other sites from US, and I hate tokumbo to the core. I always use mobil 1 advanced. 5W30 till date. Installed Brand new KYB excel G shocks front and rear....from USA Brand new OEM ball joints and tierods, inner and outer New CV axles, had to go to ASPAMDA to get it. Coil packs and plugs are okay. No misfire. Live data stream is perfect. No vacuum leaks Exhaust , catalyst efficiency okay no blockage whatsoever. Transmission changes gears 100% no slipping. Wheel bearing are okay. Fuel pump pressure okay. Dilemma for almost 7 months. So the problem is the car sort of hessitates and shakes like a hopping movement. It happens 1. Whenever I acccerlerate from stop ie after a traffic stop or trying to increase my speed on the freeway. 2. I fell some form of sensation on the floor board and steering wheel..not really a vibration Mechanic says there is a a shaky movement of the rear joint on the drive shaft and it be 2 days labour. I also remembered he has changed a couple of joints on this shaft. Could this be true and what are your advise... My car is at gbagada I am also pen to try a new auto shop. |
Brother...i had similar experience with my Lexus rx350. After spending so much from inner shaft to u joint. Guess what it was? A sticky calliper Check in these order Inner drive shaft or c.v. joint Fuel filter Sticky calliper Again sometimes you need to differentiate between shake and shudder Good luck |
Hi great car enthusiats Car is a 07 Lexus RX350 , runs fine, no issues, but one thing usually happens once in long while. I get this short 2 sec moderate to loud rattle on cold start, happens once in a blue moon ........you may not hear it for months. The way i can describe it is like the sound of a spanner or metal sound shaking, a rattle , but not grinding sound. Now i checked Lexus forums, and i read its common with GS350, RX350 e.t.c and they mentioned VVT, Cam shaft timing, Timing belt/chain tensioner, hydrollic lifters e.t.c. Please who have experienced this , what could it be and how did you fix it. This are two videos I found that almost describes the sound. Kindly observe the initial rattle on start up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDVIR9bmtL4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzzboZDObbs |
Thank you all ![]() |
honmusa:Thanks . This is live stream data. How long or what's required for complete test ? |
Hi Car is 07 Lexus RX350 Require gurus to help explain these codes from my BOD scanner. 1. The Evap test 2. I understand the 2nd to be my bad 02 sensor... Regards

Went to Ladipo to buy spark plugs for my 2007 Lexus RX350. I was shown NGK spark plugs in red packaging branded Toyota and also the iridium brand. They argued they were original. Are they genuine ones? From my search on Amazon I see the iridium brand comes in blue packaging. I don't have a picture of the red one, but see attached the one from amazon search

Capital NO Please use a cleaner formulated for MAF. Other forms of cleaners will leave residue or deposits and damage your sensor I bought this a MAF cleaner from konga last week On Konga , search for Liqui Moly Air Flow Sensor Cleaner - 200ml |
Fixed! Clogged fuel filter, and pump had low pressure. So bought a complete one N30,000 from my dealer at Ladipo. To add to that , I also cleaned my MAF with this which I bough of Konga On Konga , search for Liqui Moly Air Flow Sensor Cleaner - 200ml Hope this helps someone. |
boldx:Will do. Tx |
2015 @ Cotonou I spent 500k in for 07 RX350 . Now since the drama between Naira and dollar started, sure its way higher. |
mayor2013:Tx a lot |
mayor2013:Okay thanks.... Pls do you know any reliable Lexus tech around Gbagada area ? |
GAZZUZZ:How humorous...I asked for advise . BTW, I am not buying them on my own, a mechanic did after checking the coils |
awiriwa:That particular catalytic converter has been replaced. The old one was black with the ceramic cracked inside. It was also checked last week, and the netting was perfect, no sign of blockage. |
GAZZUZZ:P0303,P0304, e.t c |
mayor2013:There is no black smoke sir my engine steams beautifully from exhaust. The O2 sensor is downstream, and is heated type which really should not be a problem. I stand to be corrected. Yes I used the recommended plugs The O2 code is pending because I cleared the codes, it will come out as current .. |
Thanks bro Please see as at July 5th.. Have changed the 3 and 4 coils. Last week 1 and 2 came up ...changed. Today 6 came up. This was where i gave up. The carbon smell is when I rev the engine and the car shut off...... The O2 sensors code has been there long before, so its not the problem.

I have been experiencing something strange on my 07 Lexus Rx350. From CEL caused by misfires codes jumping from 1 cylinder to 3 to 5 to 6 e.t.c. I have changed up to 4 coils in space of 1 month This morning cylinder 6 misfire popped up...... Not again I said. Now I no longer believe its my coils acting up, but something else triggers the misfires Other observations Shakes whenever I start it in morning and smoothens Whenever i rev the car ver high, its shakes /shudders and shuts off. Trying to start it, it delays and cranks like i have a bad battery, which is not. Then I perceive a carbon like smell. I have installed new sets of NGK bought from amazon. So not plugs. My mechanic says probably a bad injector or a fuel supply issue Please I need advise |
Trust and integrity is key. Please raise a red flag asap. E.g I work for a US multinational and everything around false full declaration of records, compliance e.t.c is maned by FCPA. Finance and Corrupt practices Act ,under the auspices of the US Ministry of justice. That you are aware and have kept quite is an offence which can get you fired, your organisation pays huge fines in the millions of dollars. Even the company suffers a decline on brand value and competition takes advantage of situation. Whether a big or small organisation , financial integrity should be maintained at all times. Don't you think its a setup to test you? |

Good evening , Please I need expert advise on this matter. 2007 Lexus RX350 AWD I have been experiencing a shudder when i depress the throttle - accelerating from slow speed upwards. Car shakes - like jumping(shudder/stutter e.t.c) It happens mostly at 1st to 2nd gear and been driving me nuts. Car drive quality is no longer as it is, drives rough , but tranny shifts fine on freeway. I feel a buzzy sort of sensation on the floor board and steering wheel. Not vibration you feel with unbalance wheels History: Balanced wheels, not dent on rim. Changed inner CV joint aka inner cup Changed ball joint changed disc- rotor wheel bearing are fine U joint are fine ATF drained refilled with WS I have read online it could be the torque converter locking up or struggling. Could this be? and can it affect the drive quality? what else can i do or check? Advise appreciated |
Hello all experienced/ auto enthusiast, I am in need of your expert advise to solve this misery that has plagued my car Car: 2007 Lexus RX350, AWD Symptoms and changes carried out 1. Slight buzzy cyclic sort of vibration (like vibrating phone) felt on steering wheel and floor board, gas pedal. 2. Not the shaky vibration you get from unbalanced tires. 3. While accelerating from stop, this buzzy feeling is felt ,slight shudder, and hesitation (like car is reving to move to 2ng gear and same time hesitating, say 2 secs) 4. Buzzy feel is constant on varying speed. 5. More pronounced on load - carrying passengers 6. Transmission shifts fine, and no slips experienced - Had changed tranny fluid in January with Toyota WS 7. Mechanic replaced spark plugs changed with new Iridium Spark Plugs. 8. Mechanic loosened and checked U joints , Front , rear - they are still intact. 9 Bought and installed 1st grade tokunbo CV axle from a renowned dealer at Ladipo (left and right). Even regressed , no tear on boot 10. The only code is a check engine + VSC : code found is P0137 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 11. This symptoms has been there before months before the code surfaced, so I don't it has anything to do with the O2 sensor. 12. I tried taking my foot of the gas pedal while accelerating at high speed and still felt the symptom. So it may not be tranny, but something rotary by nature , just a thought!! Its driving me crazy, and now very confused. I am somebody must have experienced this before and can advise I am thinking of MAF sensor, but would that cause all these symptoms ? |
Got this code P0037scanned up on my Lexus 07 RX350. Wondering the location of the sensor and where to purchase a genuine direct replacement. Thanks

Also the shudder feels like a buzzzzzzzzz and seems to increase when I have people in my car. |
Team, Please I am in a dilemma and need expert advise. From a dead stop sometimes I will feel a shudder vibration sensation which smooth-ens as rpm goes up and disasppers I have replaced all the usual suspects as regards vibration on my 2007 lexus rx350 AWD . Drive Shaft, ball joints, lower arm bushing, Hubs Now this is the chronology of events / changes made. Last week 1. Initially I was having this shudder/ vibration from dead stop and even when i am cruising at higher speed. Like my steering wheel is going off. Vibrate more pronounced when driving downhill at high speed . like the 3rd mainland to iyano woro 2. Done countless number of wheel balancing, rotated tires many times. 3. Changed the parts at various intervals and still no improvement This week 4. This week invited mechanic to my home to have some form of visual check and diagnostics. 5. This time he decided check the shaft underneath vehicle, which he loosened and lost a very small amount of differential fluid 6. Decoupled a some what long like propeller and he wriggled the joints, said it was fine, but only fraction play which he said is not enough to cause any form of vibration. 7. Coupled back the shaft. 8. I asked him to rotate tire tires again, which he did (front to rear, and rear to front) 9. Check the transmission mount and said it was fine. Then today i took the car to work and I still experienced the slight shudder from dead stop or accelerating from a slow traffic, but the high speed vibration has disappeared almost completely. Now my question, Is it possible the shaft /U joint has some plays , and became better / altered when decoupled and coupled/ tightened . Or Tires were rotated resolved the problem of high speed vibration, which we have done countless times. Help, i have spent a fortune on this issue. The vibration at dead stop or coasting from slow traffic is now the challenge Thanks |
