When coasting on my 07 RX350 AWD and let I go of the gas pedal ,then get back on the gas pedal, I hear thuds sound under the vehicle coming from the rear. To me it seems like the front and rear don't sync on movement, hence the thump or jam sound .. It happens only at the above scenario. What I have done so far... 1.All rear sub frames have been retightened. 2.Differential mount and bushing changed. See pix of old and new installation Pls what could be the cuse of this sound? Any one with similar experience? I am thinking the propeller or U joints or centre bearing.

Update.. The shaft and ring realigned and he took for test drive. Sensor is reading as it should ... ![]() Thank you Autologic. Though we haven't met, but your communication was 100% on point.

Autologic sent me a video of the issue. Attached is the screenshot. Observe gap on the 2nd shaft reluctor , reason for intermittent reading
|
autologic:Thank you |
Mine is analogue, but damaged. Mine car's instrument cluster is always without code lights, not even check engine. Its driving me nuts |
Pls how can i contact Autologic ? Phone |
Thanks AutoElectNG. The problem started after transmission was replaced. I believe most of the work was performed from driver side. My personal mechanic whom i paid to supervise the project as the work was performed at the transmission shop said he made sure everything was put back the same way, but one can never vouch for these guys. Maybe force has been applied on the harness. Yesterday i tried to visually inspect the harness connector from the top fender but it looks good. Now its VSC ABS illuminated. The same codes and procedure as i explained above. |

I have my ABS light illuminated on my 07 lexus rx350 Scanned and its C0205, C1223 and c1236 which points to Front LH sensor ie driver side. Bought a new sensor from amazon and replaced, same code. Swapped RH sensor with LH . Same code on front LH. Meaning its not a sensor issue. Now plugged in a scanner and checked live data while driving. 1. All four sensors are working or reading, but observed the front LH drops to zero quickly and rises ,while others remained constant. Its intermittent and not consistent. No foreign object is impeding sensor tip, sensors working, ring tone relucter okay. It might be a wiring issue from the connector harness to abs module, but not sure We now observed graph pattern, the Front LH shows a weird pattern , rough and other three are smooth patterns. We went further to check reluctor ring in the outer CV, it is still very okay, no breakage , clean. Now what do you guys think is the problem? Right now i am confused.

obekediamondfuto:Knocking sound when turning is associated with the outer CV. Its the inner CV or inner cup that might be issue here. Someone competent need assess properly, to avoid throwing in parts that may not be the issue. |
Fake WS don full market oh. Open your eyes |
Better to replace it ! |
Car is perfect. Tick tick tap sound gone. |
Today being Sunday... I got a mechanic that works at Oyingbo to come to my house. Fixed |
Dear all I am in need of a competent mechanic that will do a valve adjustment on my wife's 2000 crv. The car overheated and blew the gasket due to a leaky radiator. The engine was de coupled, resurfaced and thevgasket replaced. Everything is now okay except the car now has a tick tick tick tapping sound. Mechanic says valves require adjustment. I have done my online research on fixing the valve adjustment. From what i read there are two sides " exhaust side" and "intake side". Using feeler gauges Valves are adjusted rotating Cam so the Up sign faces 180degress fixing in the order of cyl 1, cyl 3, cyl 4 and then cyl 2. https://www.autozone.com/repairguides/Routine-Maintenance-and-Tune-up/Valve-Lash/_/P-0900c1528026a51d I doubt my mechanic is knowledgeable the way its explained on honda online forum. Pls help I instructed madam not to drive the car until its fixed, to avoid any damage. I won't mind home service , since car is parked at home in Ggbaga |

Pls who can assist me in reprogramming my tranny ECU. Brief history of problem Car decided not to accelerate on 3MB. High rev jerky movement I remained calm, plugged in my OBD and found p0776 Pressure Control Solenoid 'B' Performance stuck off. Next day Gear master checks and replaces valve body with solenoid. So now there is a slight to heavy clunk felt when slowing down or downshifting to 1. Also hard kick felt when engaging from 1 to 2, after that smooth across gears. Toyota recommends ecu reset or programming after valve body or tranny change. I read in the below forum that it could be narrowed to ecu reprogramming. Before I start throwing in or replacing parts. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-3rd-gen-2006-2011/721016-jerk-jolt-clunk-when-coming-to-a-stop-2.html Currently in Lagos. I will appreciate all the help |
Hi Please any one with workingToyota techstream that can reset Auto transmission or relearn values, should be help. Mine gives the error message " Reset Memory has failed. Reset memory is not available for this vehicle. Car is 07 RX350. Valve body was replaced with shift solenoids, so need to relearn Resetting memory by disconnecting battery is not a complete solution. |
Na so |
Scan with Techstream of any other advance scanner like Launch. It will point to issue. Its more like something is broken, cut / electrical.... Is the ABS light illuminated, or just VSC? Is the VSC and Check Eng illuminated at same time? |

Waoo the car is driving and shifting like brand new. The specialist asked my mechanic to drain and loosen the tranny pan, after which he asked him to allow him to check the inside of the gear , or valve body/solenoid/ systems. According to my mechanic, he had no idea of what the specialist did after spending some minutes underneath the car , and all he asked of him was to get a new filter and fill with 4qtz of brand new WS. Brothers, even my mechanic is in disbelief because the car drives differently as to when he took it to specialist @ Ladipo. The specialist till today has refused to tell him anything, and requested to speak with me directly, maybe to ask me for more money. Friends, what magic do you think was performed? |
Kashif:Will try to find out. I am returning to Lagos this evening. |
Thanks for the advise .I am currently out of Lagos. So my mechanic took the car to a specialist. First the tranny pan was dropped, after leaking the fluid. Solenoids checked, no debris and clicking. Everything else in order. So new filter installed and filled with brand new WS. Next test will be the on computer or ECU I will keep you guys updated. |
Lexus Rx350 2007 My tranny went bad 4 months ago and was replaced. The ECU was also replaced with another. Being told the former ECU caused the damage to the tranny. Car has been running fine, but recently I have been experiencing harsh shifting from 2 to 3, ie rpm goes up before it engages 3rd gear, ie gear hunting .....then it smoothens out. Does not happen all the time. Its not bad, but i think it could be better. Fluid has been examined and in perfect condition. Drain and fill done with WS, no metal chippings found. Filter changed. I have read on lexus forum and many pointed that the ECU might need an update / reflash or recalibration. Maybe was not programmed correctly or may require firmware update I need specialist who can do fix to respond asap so I can engage. Picture of my old ECU - came with car Thanks
