This topic is totally wrong, Abubakar Audu has been declared winner online without recourse to awaiting for official declaration by INEC; meanwhile the election has been officially declared inconclusive by INEC.

Politics / Re: Worst Performing Governors According To CGPI October Report by whyom09: 3:09pm On Nov 08, 2015
breakeven:
Why is Kaduna state not on that list. Elrufai is doing nothing in kaduna ex cept his regular visit to Abuja to disturb Osibanjo.
I concur with you. I don't know the kind of index they use but to say that kaduna state is the best governed state in the country in the month of October is a pure scam. When workers will pass through hell before they see their salary, the entire city is littered with refuse dumps in the streets, markets etc. Well if it is the propaganda of the free education and free school meals that is yet to take place that has made him the best then I can understand.
As for us based in Kaduna nothing seems to be working or moving.
Please I don't know if someone cared to check the web site's link as provided for the details of the positions and performance of the governors, all I saw was the picture of Governor El'rufai as the best governor after 100 days in office and no other details was shown.

Sports / Nigeria Bashes Host Chile 5-1 To Cruise Into The Last 16 by whyom09: 6:07am On Oct 21, 2015
Holders Nigeria continued their impressive start to their FIFA U-17 World Cup title defence by completing a comprehensive 5-1 victory over hosts Chile and progressing to the knockout stages in the process. A goal within 30 seconds by star man Samuel Chukwueze set the tone for a straightforward win, with the diminutive No8 grabbing a second in the second half after he had earlier been fouled for Kelechi Nwakali's to score from the spot, and before he was felled for Victor Osimhen's successful spot kick conversion.

Chile grabbed a consolation, before Funsho Bamgboye saw his marching orders, with Osimhen's late header adding some gloss to the win, despite Nwakali missing his second penalty of the match after Chukwueze had been fouled in the penalty area for a third time.

The African side were remarkably quick out of the blocks, opening the scoring after 22 seconds. Victor Osimhen, fresh from his goal in the opening game against USA, sprinted down the Nigerian left and slid the ball across the Chilean penalty area. The onrushing midfielder slammed home with ease.

He then played a big part in the second Nigeria goal, sprinting onto a long upfield clearance and tapping the ball past the sliding Juan Jose Soriano in the penalty area. The Chilean defender’s challenge brought down the Nigeria No8 and Nwakali doubled his side's lead.

Chukwueze then grabbed his second of the game thanks to sheer determination on the hour mark. He worked his way into the Chilean penalty area, performed a couple of stepovers and, after seeing an initial shot blocked, slammed a left-footed strike past Lopez.

Chile's defence will be glad to see the back of the Nigerian No8, as he burst into the Chilean penalty area once more moments later and was felled again, this time by substitute Brian Leiva. For the second spot kick, it was Osimhen who stepped up, and he matched Nwakali's first effort by firing home.

Substitute Funsho Bamgboye later hit the post before Chile's consolation came courtesy of Marcelo Allende, who slammed past Akpan Udoh from Luciano Diaz's cross.

Despite Bamgboye's late dismissal, for a rash challenge, Nigeria rallied and Osimhen grabbed his third of the tournament in two games. Nwakali then missed his chance to double his own tally for the game from the penalty spot, after Chukwueze had been fouled for a third time.

It did not matter though, as Nigeria join Korea Republic in the last 16, with Chile set to face USA in a pivotal final clash back at the Estadio Sausalito on Friday.

Religion / Re: The Bones Of St Peter Go On Display by whyom09: 4:31am On Nov 16, 2013
One Mediator
Another charge commonly levelled against asking the saints for their intercession is that this violates the
sole mediatorship of Christ, which Paul discusses: "For there is one God, and there is one mediator
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Tim. 2:5).
But asking one person to pray for you in no way violates Christ’s mediatorship, as can be seen from
considering the way in which Christ is a mediator. First, Christ is a unique mediator between man and God
because he is the only person who is both God and man. He is the only bridge between the two, the only
God-man. But that role as mediator is not compromised in the least by the fact that others intercede for us.
Furthermore, Christ is a unique mediator between God and man because he is the Mediator of the New
Covenant (Heb. 9:15, 12:24), just as Moses was the mediator (Greek mesitas ) of the Old Covenant (Gal.
3:19–20).
The intercession of fellow Christians—which is what the saints in heaven are—also clearly does not
interfere with Christ’s unique mediatorship because in the four verses immediately preceding 1 Timothy
2:5, Paul says that Christians should interceed: "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers,
intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we
may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and pleasing to God
our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:1–4).
Clearly, then, intercessory prayers offered by Christians on behalf of others is something "good and
pleasing to God," not something infringing on Christ’s role as mediator.

idomalord: the bones was displayed to show to some idiots that he is really dead. no need to pray to him again. he cant even help himself, he had to God. same as mary , john etc. if only those people can read their bible, they wud c that wat they are doing is outside wat the bible are saying. even recent revelations show that pope john paul, micheal jackson, whitney houston, bimbo odukoya are in hell. what the bible is saying is Christ 1st then holiness. but its just sad that today christains dont know wat we ought to believe in.

Wow! I can see that your bible is awesome. Your bible just gave you the revelation of some people found in hell. If you are a "bible only" believer, I wonder how you easily believe some of these revelations even when they are full of controversies.
Religion / Re: The Bones Of St Peter Go On Display by whyom09: 5:06pm On Nov 15, 2013
Reptyle:

Bros with all due respect, the answer to your question is irrelevant to the context.

Jesus Christ while here on earth never invoked any saint to intercede on his behalf. He prayed to God directly. He also taught his disciples to pray in a specific way...directly to God.

It was never recorded anywhere that the early Christians invoked the name of Peter, Paul, Mary or any of the other apostles to intercede on their behalf. Where then did this doctrine originate from? Is the catholic church a custodian of some secret body of knowledge outside that taught by Christ? It is recorded that some of these saints rebuked Christians who tried to direct worship at them while they were alive describing themselves as "mere men." They died and went to their rest. Stop invoking familiar spirits in the name of "Saints"

Honor your saints. But stop asking them to intercede on your behalf to God or to Jesus. They do not currently have that ability. Stop deifying mere men. Stop praying prayers that only make you feel good and holy but are largely ineffectual.

The Bible directs us to invoke those in heaven and ask them to pray with us. Thus in Psalms 103, we pray,
"Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word!
Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!" (Ps. 103:20-21). And in Psalms 148 we pray,
"Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels,
praise him, all his host!" (Ps. 148:1-2).
Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: "[An]
angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to
mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the
incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God" (Rev. 8:3-4).
And those in heaven who offer to God our prayers aren’t just angels, but humans as well. John sees that
"the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding
a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints" (Rev. 5:cool. The simple
fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.

Does this match have any implication on our chances? I'll like to know.
[color=#770077][quote author=Afam4eva]

Yes it does.
Kenya are currently last in Group F after only earning two points in their three
games played and have to win to stand a realistic chance of qualifying for the
World Cup. Nigeria tops Group F with five points, the same as second placed Malawi who
had an inferior goal difference. Namibia is third with three points and Kenya is
bottom with two.
