Marketing is everything. The last time I checked, Samsung can sell plastics as gold and people will fall, because they have the best mobile marketing department in the world.

For me this is so sad, because Sony and Gionee are in the same page. They make decent phones with mediocre marketing.

There is a niche yet unsatisfied in the tab scene. Maybe gionee should capitalize on that

I am a die hard gionee fan. But I feel in the marketing department, gionee comes last. Imagine, the gionee m3 mini came out, independent marketers in Onitsha were not even aware of it. I had to show them pictures of the phone I got from Nairaland before they took me serious. Had to travel to Benin to get the phone after waiting a week. I reside in asaba, mind you. I remember the week tecno l3 came out, marketers in emeka ofor had it so with other tecno products, a lot of people don't even know about the phone Gionee. Gionee in my opinion makes better phones but has failed in the marketing department, their Facebook page is wack. Perhaps they should engage an independent marketer like jumia and work hard on aggressive marketing

Its absurd to compare tecno to gionee. U want an unbiased opinion? Go for gionee. Never regretted using a gionee yet. But I have regretted using tecno phones. Tecno phone have good software but their hardware sucks eg battery, sensors, speakers, camera, buttons. I decamped the tecno band wagon. I never looked back

Having saved up to 15k. In my opinion you have got two options, either get u get a gionee m2 mini. That you can get at about #13500. A sweet budget phone but its a 4incher. 2. You can get a gionee m3 mini that goes for #16500. Costs an extra #1500 but you get yourself 4.5 inch, latest quad core processor, LTE enabled, 4000mah battery to keep you glued to your phone. This phone offers premium features, good quality hardware married to the ABOUT the latest android version. Best phone I have used since gionee m2

Guy increase your cash. Where do you expect to get a 5" screen 16gig ROM and 1gig and such hefty battery size at 15-16k? Ur best deal is a gionee m3 mini, best phone at such a cheap price. You could go for infinix hot. This phone meets your specs but disappoints in the battery department. The phone that fits your specs cannot be bought at that price. So its either you increase your budget or you make with what's on ground. Good luck
