Travel / Re: Concrete Vs Asphalt Roads: Which Is Better? by wildernessVoice: 4:02pm On Mar 31 |
Get ready for tyre regular worn out when riding on rigid pavement. The noise is embarrassing. Try Kabba road you'll understand better. Concrete is only suitable on road ply by heavy duty trucks. The newly awarded Lagos Calabar coastal road was awarded over #1 trillion in a country where hunger is raging and at long run expensive to maintain. Why not save money and feed the hungry in the land. We need power more than expensive rigid pavement. Powe will accelerate industrialization, employ our Youth. We should be thinking of rail transport for heavy haulage and eliminate the heavy trucks causing damage to our asphalt roads. 1 Like 1 Share |

When this Govt came in 2023 , USD was #462. So what are we celebrating PMS was 195 and now 680 in Abuja, what are we celebrating ...? USD rise and fall never the determinant of prices of goods and services but cost of transportation, energy e. t. c. which are still on the high side. NOTHING TO CELEBRATE YET |
Family / Re: Why Do Igbos Never Marry Hausa? by wildernessVoice: 4:37am On Mar 29 |
I love my Yoruba brethren for this . You can marry from any religion and spouse are free to practice their religion of choice but not with my Hausa/Fulanis. Islam in Igbo is a scam. They convert for material gain . I've a neighbor several years ago who converted to Islam because he was getting contract in Abuja. when contract ceased, he revert his name from Sadiq back to Ikechukwu and disappeared from my environment for fear of persecution. Igbo Kwenu.....! |

I wonder how some people envy the rich. When I see some people rejoicing over the death of Wigwe and his loved ones, I wonder if there's iota of humanity left in them. Even on this forum, someone rejoicing and wishing Alakija death. No matter how rich you are, you can't touch the life of everybody, particularly large country like ours. Instead of envy , pray for your own Abrahamic Covenant blessings otherwise you'll forever remain poor. |

Politics / Re: Why Contractors Are Fighting Me – Umahi by wildernessVoice: 12:23pm On Mar 09 |
He has contradicted himself. In a country with hyperinflation like ours, you must pay variation in prices of construction materials. Imagine you awarded a contract in January, 2024 with cement @#5,000 and now selling #9,000 to #13,000 , won't the contractor be working at lost. What of government delay in payment of certificate without paying the contractor interest. The minister should keep to terms and conditions of contract agreements signed with contractors, there won't be any fight. |
