I've been asking, can't someone please tell me the phone he uses for Uber that works well so I don't make a mistake with money? |
jesusson2020:Pls what phone do you use? |
eherbal:That's a journey of betwwen 9km to 12km. Isn't that fair? |
Guys is a HTC U 11 good for the job? |
double0seven:I presently use a Kia Rio 2006 Manual car and for me is OK. That's for me. It may not be so for others. I handle manual cars quite well in traffic so majority of my problem is solved. But if you have means to get an automatic, its preferred because of its ease. If you have driven a manual car in Lagos before for up to 6 hours in a single day, then you're good to go for Uber with a manual car. My question still stands please. Can someone tell me the phone he or she uses for Uber and works well? Uber only please. |
lukaf17:Why not use Uber fleet on your app? That is, if you drive with Uber. Bolt can also help if you go to their office in Lekki. |
Guys, its urgent pls. What's the best averagely priced phone for Uber that works well? |
JuanPablito:Samsung Galaxy S7 is banned by Uber. |
EVILFOREST:And how does 9 criminals lessen the problem here at home when there are hundreds of teens in your neighborhood alone currently undergoing matriculation into criminology? |
I can't help feeling sorry for these people regardless of what they've done. Imagine being in a helpless situation. |
Hey guys. I got the Infinix hot 7 pro recently but the Uber driver app keeps stopping when I login. What could be wrong? |
Optional09:Read the last sentence in the write up again sir. |
As a North American who has spent over a decade in Nigeria, I realized I should state this publicly more often because I think it most every day: Nigeria is f***king amazing. Nowhere else can one test the boundaries of what is possible better than in this country. What would be considered national emergencies elsewhere barely register in Nigeria. The so-called rules of the financial markets are ignored, twisted and shattered here but people continue on with grace and joy. Electricity goes off randomly multiple times a day yet people's energy is constantly high. Imagine what your life would be like without electricity for one week, and know most Nigerians have been without it for weeks at a time since they were born. Terrorist attacks on the scale of 9/11 have happened every year for the past 7 years. Still this remains a nation where people will smile, engage and offer assistance more often than not. If any peoples are ready to survive the end times, it is those who were raised in Nigeria. Every large city has traffic, but in many Nigerian cities a hold-up transitions into a shopping mall. Delicious popcorn, questionable mousetraps, Suzanne Summers thighmasters, real puppies... Where else can you be cursing under your breath in a traffic jam and a random stranger brings you a PUPPY? Sick of reading long rants about how persecuted your great-uncle is or what a terrible restaurant some random acquaintance went to? Strangely in a country where people have every reason to complain, there is very little of it, especially wrt trivial matters. Why? My theory is most Nigerians generally do not have time for such nonsense, and complainers are not entertained even by their own mothers. Most Nigerians I have met learn early to put up or shut up. Do you have any idea how refreshing this is coming from a culture where cynicism is treated somewhere between an aspiring profession and a god given right? To be honest, sometimes I think that Nigeria is this fantastic secret carefully guarded by Niger Delta militants, Boko Haram terrorists and internet scammers. But I also realize this would ignore the massive endemic issues that make life a magnitude harder for most people here. I realize that as a relativity rich white person, I get treated better and have a different experience than many. I realize this experience is not everybody's cup of tea. But for those who can see past the problems to the opportunities, there is not really a better place to be than Nigeria. |

I received this text this morning. Well, they may desire to hide their hypocrisy but it is so glaring in the eyes of Nigerians. GO OUT AND VOTE is not the problem. The issue is, will the vote be counted? I tire for Nigeria. |
Hello, My name is Wilson, a contract-based web designer based on the outskirts of Lagos. I ride with Uber and Taxify as well and I presently need a good vehicle on either rental services or hire purchase - your choice entirely. I have verifiable guarantors on ground presently and I will bring to you N20,000 per week comfortably, and an additional N40,000 at the end of every month (making it a total of N120,000) monthly. You car will be well taken care of (if rental) and should meet the Uber standard requirements for vehicles (2000 or newer, working air condition, working radio/music player, comprehensive insurance, etc.) Reach me via 08149138776 or simply reply to this post. Looking forward to working with anyone interested. wink |

Oya oooo...where are the Buhari supporters Are we voting him again this year?? ![]() |
jimcykhan:This may be late for the person asking this but others may benefit from my answer. You can get your International Drivers Liscence from any FRSC office. I got mine for 10k within two days. |
Naomimary:You can actually get a scholarship. Based on experience, scholarships are most often given to those who want to do masters so you've got a good chance of a scholarship. I will suggest Germany as a good place to get scholarships, as both the Government and the school itself offers scholarships. A good place to start your search is DAAD database on scholarships (for Germany only): https://www.daad.de/deutschland/stipendium/en/. Do not restrict yourself to Germany alone. Broaden your search to worldwide. Who knows where your luck lies! Check here: https://www.scholarshipportal.com/ |
It is interesting to note that Nigerians are found almost everywhere in the world. It is either we move on business trips for business purposes, or we go on tourist trips for tourists purposes, or we go on medical trips for medical reasons, or we go to study. Truth is the Nigerian Educational System is really down. Research has shown that over 50% of candidates who sit for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) by both WAEC and NECO take part in examination malpractice of some sort, and a good number of these go uncaught. Some who are unlucky get their results either withheld or cancelled, but the examining bodies will agree that there are more than those who have been caught. The primary school and secondary school levels in our country have been found not to deliver the quality education that is required for a heightened career level. Worse still and more crucial in fact, is the decline in the quality of tertiary (university) education in the country. This makes our secondary school graduates especially to look for international study destinations where they can get a more quality education, and also a chance to explore countries with culture different from their home country. Let no one say that we are degrading our beloved country by going abroad to study, but I think that until the Nigerian educational system improves more than the level it is today, studying abroad will be the best option for a better education than what obtains here. There are several options when it comes to a study abroad destination for Nigerian students. But also, there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration before any Nigerian student would choose a study destination. Some writers may actually list some countries and even go ahead to list some universities that they term to be the best study destination, but the mistake here is everyone has different needs, preference, and character. What may appeal to someone may not appeal to me, and vice versa. Some Nigerians are looking for cheap countries to study, while some others do not mind the price, but are concerned with the quality. Some need a place where there is security; some need quiet countries; some need countries with few people in it; some need a noisy and busy country. Some students need to work while studying abroad, while some others need a place where they can completely focus on their studies without working. So, it will be absolutely wrong to list some countries and declare them the best international destination; hence, I will list some factors that you may consider in choosing the best study destination for you. FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED BEFORE CHOOSING A STUDY DESTINATION Population: Some students will like to study in a quiet country without city-life distractions, while others may choose to combine fun and city-life with studying. Every country either has a busy city life (most likely from a larger population) while others have a smaller population with less noise and distraction. The fact is you will require what appeals to you in order to choose the best study destination for you. If you are the type of person who will prefer to study in a busy country, go for the busy ones; and if you prefer a quiet country, there are options for you. Do not settle for less than what you want because it will affect your studies. Security: Nigeria is safer than some other countries so do not rush out just yet! Not just in terms of security, but also in terms of natural disasters. Some countries experience tornado, storm and several other natural disasters that cause devastation to whatever country that gets hit by them. Some countries out there have worse policing and national security than Nigeria, so don’t jump into any country just considering the finances alone, else you may regret it. No one will want to end up in a worse security situation than here in Nigeria, so take your time and put this as the first factor in deciding the best international study destination for yourself, or for whomever it is you are processing for. Distance: Some may not consider this but this is a very important factor to consider. There are countries which are very far away from home and very expensive to fly to and from, hence it becomes impossible to come home from studies in case of any important home event. If you know you will need to come home for studies often, then you may need to choose a country that is nearer to Nigeria. But if you do not intend to return home often or not at all, then you are free to go as far as you want from home, and get exposed to a very different culture and time zone than what is in Nigeria. Imagine the fun of waking up in the morning and then calling your people in Nigeria only to discover that they were just about to hit the bed for the night! Tuition: An important thing! This is often the consideration of many Nigerians who seek to study abroad. Check your finances and decide on the countries and universities with the tuition fee that you can afford. Many applicants make a common mistake – they make adequate preparations for their first year alone and believe that ‘manna from heaven’ will come to them in the form of scholarships or grants. Be aware that you are going to your study destination as a foreigner, an international student, with no citizenship rights. You cannot vote or be voted for, or take part in decision making, or air your views anyhow. You also cannot go anywhere without your international passport and student ID card. The universities will likely consider their students first for scholarships before extending to foreign students. Even the tuition fee charged international students in many countries are up to three times bigger than what they charge their own students. It is not wise to depend totally on scholarships. By the way, the scholarship may be just a discount off tuition fee, and nothing more than that. You also need to perform excellently well in order to get this, most of the time. Do not be discouraged. If you are a good student you will get a scholarship, but do not depend on it totally and appear unprepared. Rather, come prepared. Cost of Living: You’re certainly not going to sleep out in the cold in winter. You’re going to get accommodation, books, clothes, food, groceries, etc. You’ll need money for transportation, for weekend outings, sightseeing, and the likes. Though the student’s spending will depend on his or her interests, likes or dislikes, the most basic things like accommodation, food, books, clothes and transport, will actually take up the largest share of your spending. This is called cost of living. Put this into consideration. There are countries that are expensive to live in, and there are those that are cheaper; there are some areas in some countries that are more expensive to live in than other states in the same country. In order not to find yourself stranded, go for the country/area with the cost of living that you can afford, especially accommodation. Ability to Work: Here’s a big one. Would you like to get involved in some part time work that would earn you some cash? Then it’ll be cool to go for countries that allow this! Not all study abroad destinations will permit you to work while studying, but majority of them will, especially the most popular ones. Check very well to confirm if you would be able to work in the country you’re choosing to go to else you might be in for some big and stranded surprise. Language: English is the official language in Nigeria, but not throughout the world! There are countries with different languages. E.g., the official language in Denmark is Danish, and Russia is Russian, and Ukraine is Ukrainian, and Germany is German, and Austria is German, and Cyprus is Greek/Turkish, and Turkey is Turkish, and Greece is Greek and Australia is English, and so on. You will need to speak at least the basics of their language if you want to study in their country! And some will even require you to learn their language and study in it. So take the language of instruction in the schools you are applying to into consideration. Admission Requirements: Some countries have strict admission requirements. WAEC/NECO certificate are not enough for direct university entrance in some countries. Some will require A-level, some form of foundation/preparatory classes, language course, 100 level transcript, work experience, etc. Check the universities that you are going to apply for and review their admission requirements, ensuring that you will be able to meet up with it before you apply. Also keep deadlines in mind because applying a day past the deadline in most countries will be refused. PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER Studying abroad is not just about the cost. Cost is actually a major deciding factor but not the only one. You should really consider the above factors in deciding where to study, if you have really decided to study outside Nigeria. CONCLUSION Alright, this is the beginning. In my next post, I’ll list all popular study destinations to the best of my knowledge and then classify them according to the factors which I stated above. It will be important for you to really consider and confirm what I’ll post next, as it might be an eye-opener to you. Do not forget that studying outside Nigeria is a simple process and you really do not have to employ any agent, except you really want to. My Childhood Since I was little, I have been dreaming of having a very large establishment which runs 24/7. My establishment will be made of firms, factories and offices, and will be my business. Seriously, I’ve got no plans to work under anyone. Yes, I need to be rich, but on my own. Ready, Set, Go! Now, its about time. I’ve really got to get my great dream started, and nothing is going to stop me. I will establish offices all over the country and pull in customers without mercy, offer them services, and make sure they are satisfied- to ensure I get paid well too! I’ll run this dream to the fullest. Wait a Minute – What’s Wrong? However, after setting up my Media organisation, I discovered that other organisation offering similar services are doing much more better than I. They reach out and grab potential customers faster that I can get to them. Their services and name are well known to everyone while mine remains known to few- and even the few I have may be stolen away soon. Looking at all these, comparatively, I offer much better media services than my competitors in the media market. My prices are cheaper, my services are more organised with more reliable and experienced staff, and my offices are amazing beautiful and welcoming. Yes, I was better than my competitors, but they are obviously pulling the crowd much better than I do. What could be wrong? The Research – I Need to Know What’s Wrong! I decided to carry out a research to find out what the problem could be as I was getting really frustrated. I paid highly skilled researchers to assess my business and let me know what was missing. All of them had the same result – my services were good, but who knew them? My offices were beautiful, but who knew the way to them? I could only reach out to those who were within the environment of my offices, and no further! They let me know that people needed my services, people really needed my help, but no one knows I was existing. This surprised me, but they let me know what I needed to do. I needed to have an online presence, so I could reach out to potential customers from all over and draw them to the beauty and professionalism of my services. Online Presence? Today, we have businesses offering excellent services in various niches. Some business are unknown but offer the best services in their niches, even more than the ones that are known in the same niche. Had it been that these business were known more, the people would be offered better services and may even have to pay lesser. The world is changing generally, and is packing up itself to be a global village. Technology is developing almost at its peak speed and the way business succeed today have changed from the days gone. Before a business could have a large outreach, such business should really pay a lot of attention to online presence, as you can find almost everyone in the world online today. With an online presence, you could reach out, and offer services, to people from other countries and states. The world contains billions of individuals, and I am convinced that you could get at least thousands to patronize your business, if you give your business and online presence. What Online Presence is Right for Me? Social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram – exposes your business to a large number of people, which gives you the right exposure, but then the world still changes. Even the people who see your business online on social media will prefer you to have your base from which you operate. This means you will be expected to own a website, which contains detailed information about your services as well as your contact information. So, as much as social media is very important for your business, the truth remains that a website is more professional and ultimate. Why a Website? Your website could help you sell if you operate a shop. Customers could place their orders online and you will receive it, instead of calling your lines all day long which doesn’t look professional at all. Your school could get to upload their students’ results online without the traditional use of report cards. Your organisation should have a website that allows payment to be made online very simply without the stress and fuss of transfer of funds from one account to the other, and waiting up for bank alerts – that’s outdated. Seriously, a website will make your services appear so professional. What’s more? You will get exposure and turn potential customers into clients year after year. If you are serious with your business, then it should have a website to expand productivity.
