Lexusgs430: @willyfrench - lucky patcher seems not able to develop a licence key for ram expander.
It states an update is due upon launch, is it safe to update?

Yes it is totally safe & necessary to update. Will edit this post with a solution for ramexpander. Lemme quickly get something done.

Edit: open lucky patcher, select ramexpander and choose open menu of patches, select remove license verification then a menu pops up where you select manual mode. When in manual mode, there's a drop down menu where you are to select object "n2". After choosing n2 tap backup first and then tap on patch, it should display successful. You can now run Ramexpander with your Internet connected. Lemme know if it works cos it's been a bit since I carried this out.

Lexusgs430: One flaw I seem to have realised with this Lenovo P780, is that the WiFi signal is not as strong when you are not in close proximity of your router.
On all my previous devices, my WiFi connection around my house is quiet strong. But on this lenovo, if I am downstairs (router location), signal is very strong, but if I move upstairs, I seem to have fluctuations of none or one wifi signal bar.
NB: Seems a common issue. Because its widely talked about on lenovo P780 user review sites.

You are right. I barely noticed it tho. I expect Lenovo to improve on this flaw with the next P-series device.

Note: You must be rooted to be able to use the Xposed framework.

Now the Gravitybox module is gotten within the Xposed framework installed with instructions above. Gravitybox is quite useful if you would like to mod the stock ROM that came with our fone instead of having to flash a custom ROM e.g removing 3G/G icon from statusbar (I personally hate those icons a great deal), changing your battery icon, switching clock position to center instead of rightside of status bar etc.

Obviously the front is not the best, but manageable for video calls, but the rear is another story !!!!!

NB: Front mp defers from online review specifications but after an Antutu Benchmark test on my physical device, it states 1.2

Lexusgs430: A thought just crossed my mind. I presently use a Blackberry phone + Motorola Android Phone, I have whatsapp installed on both sim cards and are active.
When my Lenovo P780 arrives, would it still be possible to access Whatsapp on both sim cards installed in the Lenovo ?

I think I've come across a way to use two WhatsApp accounts and it involves titanium backup being rooted and having busybox installed. Will search for a tut on it & drop here for us.

Bros complete assessment can be done on the appropriate threads. We are only being defensive so the thread isn't derailed that's all. The devices mentioned are great value for money considering how much the large companies like Samsung, HTC etc milk from us no doubt. But we wanna keep the thread simply Lenovo P780.

But you seem to be missing the point, while you are looking for a charging point, the Lenovo P780 will still be waxing strong !!!!
Part of the Unique selling point, is the battery capacity amongst other things (it is also not as plasticky has the zobo)

Lexusgs430: Based on the write-ups and recommendations on this thread, I have just placed my order for my Lenovo P780. Total cost $225.00 comes with original lenovo leather case, car charger, screen protector and card reader.
I also did my own personal read-up. And realised not all sellers have the Lenovo P780 rooted and have ROW rom (rest of the world) and not all have the google playstore pre-installed.
Of course, mine has all of the above pre-installed and I have told seller to delete all chinese apps and test throughly !!! (I learnt some devices have wifi connectivity issues )

I use MyFont app from playstore and the name of that particular font is "Redressed". You have to be rooted to be able to use the app tho.

Well deserved attention . Yea I rooted mine, what's the point having an android device if not to maximize its potential . Sadly its only got 3G on sim 1 but that isn't an issue cos you can simply toggle on airplane mode and interchange the sims without turning off the phone. Lenovo ought to have made both slots 3G capable tho. Sense them no get! LoL.

Ogetogeo: Sorry bro, not actually an advert per se. People are asking how to get the Lenovo phone, i only stated that I can help them get that and also gave them also a cheaper option.
As for the Jiayu G3T. It comes with two variants of battery, I only order with the 3,000mah capacities. I have alot of clients already here and they would all tell you that those I have sold are with 3,000mah battery.

Well I really don't know much about TECNO phones. A friend of mine uses the Phantom AII I think, great device from TECNO but he always has a power bank with him. I've even boosted up his phone on several occasions using my P780 and it's OTG cable (Infact my colleagues in the office with their s3, s4 etc secretly charge up their phones with my P780 lol) . Know nothing about the L3 tho.

Anomnity: I almost want to envy you.Is the battery removable or non removable? I read some of the ones on Aliexpress are fakes so BUYERS BE SURE its original when you order from there.

It is officially specified as non removable but it actually is removable . A seal is put on the battery so if you try removing the seal breaks and voids your warranty.
