WES Canada does not evaluate credentials issued by Aptech. I tried to evaluate mine, but got a response saying they don't evaluate Aptech credentials.

That means LASU hasn't responded to the verification request email WES sent to them. If you have a contact in LASU, exams and records especially, have them check on the cause of the verification delay.

daaryour:
does anyone in the house know how long it takes to get documents verified with lasu? status on wes page indicates they are awaiting verification from institution. thank you

Fantastic result. How did you prepare for the test?

Elfmannisback:
Ielts instead.. Possible 20pts.
This makes a lot of sense, considering the cost of both is about the same amount. Thanks for your time.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Wingnut007: 8:30pm On Jun 09, 2018
Thanks very much for your response. 2 points is probably not worth the cost (for now).

CanadaBound:
Evaluating your SSCE adds 2 points to your wife's CRS score, it's now a question of if you need the 2 points.

Gurus here can take the second one.

Citizens of Nairaland,

I have couple of questions I need answers to:

WES indicated my Aptech Computer Education credential is not eligible for ECA. I don't have a Bsc., so that leaves me with my SSCE. As a dependent spouse (my wife is going to be the PA), do I still need to evaluate my SSCE?

Secondly, I have some pre-2010 travel histories to Ghana (mostly by road). The problem now is, I can't remember the exact dates and duration as I can no longer find the passport I used back then. It's an old passport. The one before the e-Passport era. Can I exclude those periods from my travel history as I can neither provide the passport nor travel dates.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Wingnut007:
Please does anybody have a reliable contact at Ikoyi or Alausa Passport Office that can help with Change of Name (maiden to married name)?

Thanks in advance.

GlitteringStar:
PCC is required for the Principal Applicant, spouse and dependent children 18 years of age or older (including non-accompanying).
Thanks for the info. Is it appropriate to start working on the PCC despite we are yet to jump into the pool or we wait till when we are in the pool?

Also, can I ignore the travel histories on my previous passport and only provide PCC for the ones on my current? Reason is the task of acquiring PCC from several countries might be too demanding knowing they will only be valid for 6 months.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Wingnut007: 5:22pm On May 12, 2018
Is a spouse dependant also required to get PCC from countries where he/she spent over 6 months?

Please can I use this Fax number (+1 416.972.9004), which I found on WES website to fax a Certificate to them?

Also, will it be a problem if the date of the Affidavit for Change of Name is different from the date the news paper publication was made (publication was made in 2015 and affidavit in 2018) ?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Wingnut007: 8:24pm On May 10, 2018
My wife is creating her WES account. What name should she use? Her maiden name which is the same name on her certificate or her married name?

Thanks in advance.

Happy Weekend Nairalanders,

Words are not enough to express how happy I am to have stumbled upon these series of very informative and encouraging threads. It is fill with priceless information and experience that money can't buy. Kudos to those who created them and all who have participated in making it what it is today.

I and my family (Spouse and two children) want to migrate to Canada and from what I have read so far, we (I and my spouse) need to take IELTS and then do ECA.

Do we do the IELTS and ECA before creating the Primary Applicant's EE profile, or create the EE profile and update it with IELTS and ECA as they become available?

Is it compulsory to do ECA and will a BSc. acquired at LASU (Lagos State University) come out positive from ECA?

I am just starting out and one thing I understand so far is that individual journey varies. I want to get as much information as I can so we can start on the right path.

Thanks in advance.
