The thing is that US learnt from their mistakes in both incidents and greatly improved on their military capabilities. This conflict in Iran has gone down as one of US most successful military campaigns against a belligerent nation. Imagine wiping off the supreme leader within 40minutes after the conflict began.

bless you! This is the only intelligent comment I've seen so far. Others were busy yapping nonsense. USA has already effectively taken hold of the strait of Hormuz. They have effectively degraded the missile capabilities for the IRGC, all Trump is telling the other stakeholders is to support the occupation of the Strait by deploying security vessels to protect the VLCC when they pass through the strait, if they don't like, they can live it and still pay for the costly oil price.
Trump and Bibi have more important task to do like ensuring the remnants of IRGC have been neutralize for good and get user in Iran into a new political dispensation.

First off, all your neigbouring gulf countries are against you, secondly, more than half of your citizens are against the regime and would gladden their heart to see the regime burn.
