The National Judicial Council (NJC) rose from an emergency meeting on Wednesday and elected to be silent on its report on the probe of petitions against suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen and Acting CJN, Ibrahim Muhammad.

The NJC, which considered the report of its five-man committee constituted to investigate petitions against Onnoghen and Muhammad, said it has decided to send its report to President Muhammadu Buhari rather than making it public in view of “the nature of the decision reached

Its spokesman, Soji Oye said, in a statement on Wednesday, that the NJC refrained from considering the allegation relating to asset declaration involving Onnoghen, “because it’s was subjudice.”

The statement reads: “The National Judicial Council reconvened today in an emergency meeting to consider the report of the five-man committee constituted to investigate the allegations of misconduct made against Hon. Mr. Justice W. S. N. Onnoghen, GCON and Hon. Mr. Justice I. T. Muhammad, CFR.

“Council decided that the allegations relating to assets declaration that were levelled against Hon. Mr. Justice W. S. N. Onnoghen, GCON were subjudice and therefore abstained from considering them.

“Council reached a decision on the petitions written by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and others and conveyed its decision to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

“Council also resolved that, by the nature of the decision reached, it would be inappropriate to publicise it before conveying it to Mr. President.”

Dismissing the suits, the presiding judge, Hon Justice T.N Nzeukwu agreed with the counsels to the Action Alliance, Malachy Nwaekpe esq and Ms. Sharon Anyaduba that Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was duly nominated in line with the Constitution of the Action Alliance, thereby dismissing their suits for lack of merit and being statute barred.

Igbere TV recalls that Chief Myke Ikoku, who is the governorship candidate of the YDP and Mr. Leonard Okolienta had instituted different suits challenging the nomination of His Excellency Ugwumba Uche Nwosu as the governorship candidate of the AA, however, the court averred that the issue of nomination of candidates for elective positions is entirely an internal affair of a political Party and awarded a cost of 200,000 Naira against Chief Myke Ikoku.

According to a report by biafran radio(Radio Biafra),"we thank God that today biafra is listed among Africa nation,"the broadcaster stated. Also,IPOB leadership was reported to be the leading secessionist groups among many nations in Africa that want a separate state. We gathered that there are five nations that want to be on their own.information milling around say that Nnamdi kaun,the IPOB leader will represent Biafra in UN upcoming meeting in june,since IPOB is the only registered body with the United Nations seeking for Biafran state.

The united nation meeting agenda on June is to discuss the issue of all those regions that want to be on their own as a nation,with two from Africa,including Biafra.

The meeting is said to take place in US.this June.
