Christianity Etc › Re: Unmarried, Pregnant Pastor Justifies Her Act by Wiseandtrue(f):
AfroSisi:
An American Pastor, Desiree Allen put up a post on her personal website ‘Not Cinderella.’ The post was titled On Being a Pastor and Pregnant (and Why I Can’t Carry Your Weight).”

In her post, she revealed that she is unmarried, a Pastor and pregnant. Shew talked about the struggles of realizing her status, analyzing the consequences of her decision to keep the baby and accepting fate just the way it is.

It is easy to jump into conclusion, knowing it is a sin to fornicate,
You yourself have condemned yourself as a witness
[Quote]

I was pregnant. My immediate reaction was shock. This was not planned. Yes, I know it’s a potential consequence of having sex, but not one readily expected. With the exception of living a pretty much celibate lifestyle in my twenties I had been having sex on and off since I was 15 and had never been pregnant.

“In fact, I assumed when I was ready it would be very hard for me to conceive. [b]Boy did I miscalculate?

“No one can be naïve enough to say this type of stuff doesn’t happen in church. An ugly truth is people in church leadership have sex outside of marriage, affairs, do drugs, drink, so on and so forth. Generally, these are not considered acceptable acts

The church” is already harsher on women for their “crimes,” but being a pastor also meant that both me and my fiancé were going to go through this publicly. I didn’t know what that meant, how it would affect my job and if I was prepared to deal with it

“My apprehension was not unwarranted and although privately excited I was concerned about public persona.

“Otherwise, how would THEY know you were sorry? Well, I wasn’t sorry or ashamed. Shame and happiness cannot reside in the same place. I decided to only surround myself with those who had positive energy.

“At three months I revealed my pregnancy to the staff at my church. It wasn’t planned. It was at our annual staff retreat. If you could see inside my mind you would have seen the warring back and forth.

“Do it now.”

“You’ll be fine. The outcome will be better than expected.”

“The words kind of fell out of my mouth in front of everyone. I explained my joy and the importance this did not undo and diminish all the work and dedication I had put in for six years. I felt empowered. I shared what I wanted to share, how I wanted to share, own my own terms.

“To the point of needing a chair to sit in. I broke in the most beautiful way possible. In the breaking I was free. That ugly Jesus cry

“So no, I cannot carry your weight about MY situation. Whoever you are. I have my own beautiful, amazing and miraculous weight to carry for the next few months and a lifetime.

I have preached throughout my pregnancy and will do so until I can no longer waddle on the stage.”

Do you agree with her? Do you think the church/religious bodies should stop castigating sinners? Let's talk ...

http://buzznigeria.com/unmarried-pregnant-pastor/
Do you preach 1Cor 6:18 at all : huh

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

Or Acts 17:30

The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent,

Or 1 Cor 7:8-9

To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
Finally read Deut. 23:2

People with audacity shall undecided
A pastor climbing the altar preaching is having sexual intercourse out marriage and sees nothing wrong with it huh This is truly the end time... a sinner that is not remorseful undecided anyway na you and the Almighty get matter sad

OP:
Churches are not castigating sinners but castigating sins and a church emulating Christ will not stop doing that.

I don't know how true this story is but according to the information shared by bodexng on IG,Toyin Aimakhu’s ex-boyfriend Seun Egbegbe was caught in Computer Village,Lagos while trying to run away with stolen Iphones.Below is what bodexng wrote...

'Exclusive/Breaking: Seun Egbegbe was caught in computer village while escaping with stolen 7 Iphones
Eye witnesses said he came into keelcech innovations store in computer village, took two latest iphone 7 and seven iphone 6 plus and told the sales girl he is/was coming and then crossed to enter a taxi
It was after he left it was done on one of the sales rep that someone packed phones so they rushed and caught up with the thief and behold it is/was our controversial Seun Egbegbe

Further reports from PorscheClassy and  i-reporter revealed that Egbegbe came to Computer village with some guys in a jeep ard he pretended to be ready for payment after the phones were delivered to him only for him to elope into the waiting jeep before the the sales girl screamed for help. The noise which attracted sympathizers, helped as they gave Egbegbe a hot chase and eventually caught up with him before he could find his way out of computer village.

Is there anybody in Computer Village who can confirm the authenticity of the story?

nikkypearl:
I want to appreciate oga seun for this wonderful forum..my longtime friend lalasticlala..all the mods and fellow nairalander...

I created my last thread basically for three reasons..

.to catch fun

.to encourage fellow ladies to be hardworking and independent. .

.to erase the mentality of tagging every women "olosho"
grin grin
but fortunately for me...the thread turned out to be another golden opportunity. ..

many nairalanders contacted me..but 40% turn out to be prospective clients...I met this particular nairalander on the 18th of this month..we went to his site together at dalemo before sango..the land is just an half plot(60ft×60ft). .but I promised to come up with something nice..just yesterday morning..I sent him these presentation drawings. .he was amazed..and immediately asked for my professional fee..I told him..to my surprise. .he requested for my acct number and 45minutes later..I got an alert (Godwin)...

The most amazing thing is that he deducted just a little out of the amount I requested for..and asked me to go ahead with the working drawings. ..
I am so glad..not only becoz of the money..but the fact that something beautiful like diz came up from nairaland...

NOTE... ..
he personally asked me to paste the drawing here incase some people might want to incorporate their own ideas before I finish the working drawings. .

thanks to my client. . (smiles) and to all viewers. .looking forward to your beautiful ideas and annoying critism
one love....
Lovely design. I can't even find any fault smiley

I am an architect and I like your graphics. I will not comment on the functionality for one reason.
I hate when clients post or ask their architects to post designs online for advice. Please it is your duty to make inputs and corrections/suggestions as a client If you are not satisfied with what your architect came up with. What's the essence of bringing it here, to insult the architect?

...and to the op, this act is not professional. You are only allowed to do this in a forum for architects. #peace

Freeze is not far from the truth.. infact he is on the truth 100%. And he is not the only one saying this.. many pple cant be wrong at d same time.

The truth is that when u marry and igbo woman u are assured of 100% support from her in everything u do to make the family better.
She can borrow money for ur sake to support u without letting u know..
unlike most most of other women from other tribes who is after expensive cloth for party and owanmbe... and rely on feeding her kids with owambe rice.

My neighbour from urobho delta state cant stop talking about his igbo wife till tommoro.
This guy was deported from abroad after 7yrs and came back home with nothing but frustration.
He was lucky to meet this igbo gal he fell inlov with... now the man is driving G-class.

It is this gal that harboured him and shelter him
it is the gal that brought business idea to him that h :oez doing now.
It is same gal that borrowed money for him to start life again.

U can say its not all igbo women that are like that yes i concor..
But the possiblity of u getting a good igbo gal is on high side.
Coz 95% of igbo gals are very Supporting
Coz they are trained not to be lazy.

Good... Nice question..

There are hundreds and thousands of firms, that can pay you to write an article for them.

People devoted time to fish out these firms and they are making good cash.

Let's say you find out about them, the competition to be hired becomes much. That is why people hide all these Info's till you give them TIPS to tell you or you find out yourself..

That was why I stated... "The internet is a fast paced world, either you catch up or others over run you"!!

“You may recall,” the Centre emphasised, “that earlier this year, the subsidy on petroleum products was removed by this government, leading to high cost of petroleum products and increased suffering and poverty among the people. It was argued by the government that moneys saved from the subsidy removal will be applied to the development of infrastructure. At this point in time, the people of Nigeria have neither received accountability on the revenues accrued from oil subsidy removal nor seen infrastructure developed as a consequence. It is ridiculous that the same government would turn around to seek a facility for the same purpose for which it removed the oil subsidies earlier this year.

AmakaOne:
my mum fed all of us this when we were growing up

Beans porridge (thats what I call it)

Ingredients
1. Beans
2. Cray Fish
3. Butter

Wash the cover of the beans off (as if you want to make akara or moi-moi) and also to prevent the child from diarrhea, soak the beans in water for a while.
Grind the beans until smooth.
Boil some water, add a bit (just a bit) of crayfish into the water. Add about a tablespoon of the beans paste. Stir while it cooks, it becomes thick very quickly. Add a pinch of salt when it is ready. Add butter to taste.
Its like making pap.
Serve immediately it cools a bit. when it cools it 'turns' into moi-moi.
Wash and soak for almost a whole day to soften the beans, reducing cooking time.
With time (as she grows older),  add other things like fish, green pepper etc.
Looks so natural to me but
What about the remaining beans how do you preserve it huh

importexpert:
Have you ever thought about how to make money on the Internet for free? I'm sure you have! Just like many thousands of other people, I'm sure you have at least thought about it once or twice in your life. Well, in this article, you're going to learn about amazing ways to make money on the Internet for free.

Method 1: Article Writing

Writing articles for profit has become a very popular method to make money on the Internet for free. Anyone with decent writing skills can become an online article writer and bring in a regular income every month. There are a few ways to profit from article writing. The first method is to write articles for merchants and companies who require content for their marketing campaigns. The second method is to promote your own products to make a sale or affiliate products to earn a commission.

Method 2: Blogging

Many people are blogging and earning hundreds and thousands of dollars per month. How do they do it? All they do is to take a free blog from WordPress or Blogger, create content and market it. These bloggers then monetize their blog through affiliate links to earn a commission, or contextual ads such as Google AdSense ads that make them money every time a visitor clicks on one of the ads.

Method 3: Paid-To-Complete Offers

Paid-to-complete offers pay you for filling up a form, survey or signing up for trial offers. The reason why companies will pay you for filling up a survey form, for example, is because they are doing market research and they want to learn more about their market. Sites that offer paid-to-complete offers include Cash Crate and Treasure Trooper.

Method 4: Brokering

If you noticed, the methods described so far do not necessarily require you to have a product of your own to sell. Brokering is another method that does not require you to create a product. With brokering, you match buyers and sellers and get paid a commission fee. You can broker buyers and sellers of digital information products or even eBay products just by sending a few emails to both parties.

Method 5: Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is perhaps the most popular and viable way of making money online without busting your guts trying to create products that the market will buy. You simply find proven products that are already selling well on the market, sign up as an affiliate, and promote the products. When you sell the affiliate products, you earn commissions. This method can be combined with methods like article marketing and/or blogging to create a well-oiled online money-making machine.

add yours. your questions are welcome

Have you taken note of the CO-INCIDENCE OF LIFE:

1. CHURCH has 6 letters so does MOSQUE.

2. BIBLE has 5 letters so does QURAN.

3. LIFE has 4 letters so does DEAD.

4. HATE has 4 letters, so does LOVE.

5. ENEMIES has 7 letters, so does FRIENDS.

6. LYING has 5 letters, so does TRUTH.

7. HURT has 4 letters, so does HEAL.

8. NEGATIVE has 8 letters, so does POSITIVE.

9. FAILURE has 7 letters, so does SUCCESS.

10. BELOW has 5 letters, so does ABOVE.

11. CRY has 3 letters so does JOY.

12. ANGER has 5 letters, so does HAPPY.

14. RICH has 4 letters, so does POOR.

15. FAIL has 4 letters, so does PASS.

16. KNOWLEDGE has 9 letters, so does IGNORANCE.

Are they all by Coincidence? We should choose wisely, this means LIFE is like a double-edged sword.
If you think it is your alarm clock that woke you up this morning, try putting it beside a dead body and you will realise that it is the grace of God that woke you up.
God bless you ALL and see us through 2016 and may He set our tables before our enemies in 2017.
