I can still remember, my Measurement and evaluation lecturer used to do this. At the end of every month, he would collect our lecture notes and take them home to mark. Over 200 students o. The thing is, he really marks them. You will see it marked and commented on. He will come to the class and read out the various marks gotten by each students, for the notes marked. That really made us take his lectures serious.
