But op, can I ask why you saw the need to refer to her as garbage? I'm genuinely curious... It's such an odd thing to say but I want to understand you clearly. |
RollinTNDA:Is this you implying that your mothers and sisters are pet dogs then? 🥲 |
Please I don't understand anymore. Why is it that anytime I open a thread that is celebrating a throwback or trying to bring back old memories in the spirit of nostalgia, I end up seeing dumb comments like, "Gen-Zs shift one side" or "indomie generation can't relate". That was how I saw a thread with pictures of brick phone batteries that were the in thing back in the day and the poster had to dampen the mood instantly by asking Genzs to take a hike, in typical ignorant social media user fashion. That was literally the first phone I ever used in my lifetime, and I remember the occasional scratching on hair or teeth we subjected the batteries to, to bring them resuscitate then. Please and please, Gen-Zs are not zygotes that were formed three minutes ago in your bedroom. They are people born between 1997-2012. A person born in 1997 is already 28 years old this year. Someone born in 2000 is 25. So We know all these things. We know what brick phones are. We used blackberries at some point. We know when fuel was still sold for as little as #125 and most importantly, we know what life was before Bubu and his almighty successor came into power because those years practically shaped our childhood. Let's all be guided please.😩😩😩 |
jagaban002:Good day How can I help you? |
Reflect7:The level of hypocrisy is palpable!!! You're apparently advocating the use of "African Lingua Franca"(whatever the hell that means), yet you're still making use of the white man's language. Why not kukuma type in your language, so we know you're actually serious...🙄🙄🙄 |
Streetinvestor2:Of course it's nothing special to you! Yet here you are still using the same white man's language to spew the trash you typed here🙄🙄🙄. Why can't people just appreciate good things and pass? |
I'm just coming from a thread about a single mother that decided to shower her son with Christmas gifts, and one of the commenters decided it was a good idea to list out all the "God so terrible things" that happen to boys raised by single mothers. As if children raised by both parents can't also end up "lazy and redundant ", "effeminate ", or "stalkers in the US" as he so put it. It's ridiculous. How many criminals in prison today were raised by single mothers? What about those great men like Ben Carson that we're raised by single mothers? How come no one talks about them? And hoe are children raised by single fathers better off? It's honestly sickening how y'all pass out judgement and make generalisations about people who are mere victims of circumstances on this app. If we're not tackling single mothers, were tackling their offspring. As if it was still not your gender that put most of them in that condition in the first place. And what would U say about children of widows and divorcees? They're also "stalkers" and "redundant people" Abi? Making someone feel unnecessarily bad for something that is not their fault. I wonder who you guys think those single parents and kids would feel when they see most of the hurtful comments you people make on this app. And yes, I was raised by a single mother and I turned out much better than most of you guys that make such comments. Make everybody go rest jor. |
APOPTOSIS:I despise mindsets like these... The way people like you are always in a haste to generalise and raise judgemental presumptions about people with circumstances beyond their control ehhhh... How do U know that all boys raised by single mothers end up like everything u just listed out?. Were Ben Carson and his brother not raised by a single mother? Abi is it children raised by single father's that are better of? |
NwaNimo1:This makes absolutely no sense 😕 |
Please someone should make me understand. Why does it look like Nigerians are forgetting the fact that about 60 percent of the country's workforce are private workers? If this new minimum wage is implemented, would it also be enforced in private industries, schools and the likes? And supposing it is, how are the owners of these companies supposed to handle it if their profit per capita can't keep up with said wages? Won't that amount to massive job loss in the end? And if the minimum wage is increased, won't business owners capitalise on that and increase their prices? How are private workers supposed to keep up with their stipends then? Please someone should break it down for me. Because I don't understand all this clamour for a new minimum wage when everyone is not a government worker. Not that I'm not in support of what NLC is advocating for but then.... someone should just make me understand please. |
bluefilm:So what would you have them do instead? Marry all your daughters and raise families in your ancestral home? And if you check sef, said daughters might even be graduates 😒 |
Eriokanmi:I detest comments like these.... Justifying evil shamelessly... So because of the animalistic conditions you were subjected to as a child, it is now okay for a child to inflict undue pain on another person's child in the name of trying to make them stronger? Did you even watch the video to see how helpless and defenceless the girl being bullied really felt? If it were your daughter that was being slapped that way, you would tell her to chest it because it would make her stronger Abi ?You're obviously a very shallow minded human being and it is very dangerous to have someone like you parent a child. Honestly. |
Afamed:The link attached to the SMS? |
Please a lady recently called my mum and asked for her NIN for verification in relation to the grant. Has anyone else received any similar calls? We feared it was a scam or something |
flokii:Im thinking it's water because the well water were using in Enugu is terrible but I don't really know what else I can use |
money121:Is it dangerous? |
In recent months, I've discovered these strange rash-like looking things on my skin. However, they don't itch or hurt or give me any issues at all. Their just all over my two arms and even worse at my back, and I don't know what they are. Dermatologists in the house, any diagnosis?

Today, January 2nd, marks World Introvert Day. A day when we celebrate those special men and women who prefer not to bother themselves with the stresses that come along with socialisation and society at large, and just choose to enjoy the company of their own spaces and thoughts. World Introvert Day was created by German psychologist Felicitas Heyne who frequently wrote on introversion. He felt introverts deserved a quiet day after the marathon of holiday and celebrations that started with Thanksgiving/Christmas and ended on the New Year's Day. The day could help them recharge and prepare themselves for the days ahead. And to set the records straight, introverts are not weird. We are not proud or arrogant either. We really just don't care for excessive friendships and the drama that come along with them. Most of us neither have the energy, nor the time. But there are days we wished we'd be a bit more different though, that we would just put ourselves out there a bit more and show the world the incredible stuff we're made of. Introverts are probably the most brilliant people you could ever know. If you're in doubt, you can ask the likes of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, JK Rowling, and so on. Our hidden talents are top notch and when we choose to showcase them to the world, we excel and make waves all around. Just look at Keanu Reeves and our very own darling, Genevieve Nnaji. When we love, we love whole heartedly and when we are broken, we keep everything within ourselves as we don't want to bother others with our struggles. We don't give out our trust so easily but once we are comfortable with you, we can move mountains for you. Introverts have a beautiful soul but often times, we are misunderstood and so people choose to keep their distance. But the funny thing is that we really don't care, and we even prefer it that way 😂😂😂😂 So my fellow introverts, get up and celebrate yourselves today with a bottle of wine, Netflix or a nice book lot of junk food and a much longer time on that bed (just like we always do anyways 😂). And always remember that you are not weird. You are neither lazy nor arrogant nor weak not heartless. You and I both know that we could bring down heaven for those we loved if we could. And as for non introverts, pick up that phone and text the closest introvert you know (don't call or visit oooo, that's a desecration to our fortress of solitude 😂😂😂) and remember to always hold on to them tightly, because they are the most valuable things you could ever have.... Happy New Year 🌟🌟 🌟

Please Guys, I just received a text informing me that I was shortlisted for the voice africa auditions S1, but the issue is that I'm not sure about the location. It was indicated that the audition would take place in presidential hotel, but they didn't specify the state. Now I'm not sure if it is in Lagos or in Port Harcourt, or even in Abuja. Please Guys, your help would very much be appreciated. Thank you. |
Hopebringer:What are U talking about There are videos all over the freaking internet,,!!!! |
I am absolutely surprised that no one in Nairaland, got wind of the story of a father, who killed HIS OWN SON, along with his wife. I never saw it in the front page for once, as grotesque as the story is... Anyways, the incident happened in the Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State. According to reports, the deceased was a twenty five year old man, who had decided to come and spend some time with his father and his wife aka evil stepmother. It was reported that the witch of a step mother became jealous of the guys success (he had some plots of land here and there) and wanted her own son to become the first son. So she slowly started to poison his food, until the victim became very ill and when he was weak enough, she connived with her husband and killed him. His own father for crying out loud!!! Anyways, after they had carried out the dastardly act, he was buried in a shallow grave. It was after a few days that neighbours started perceiving the stench of the corpse and became suspicious. Also, there were rumours that the guys ghost actually visited his friend in a dream and informed him of the evil that had been carried out on him. So, the youths of Aba all stormed the evil couples house, beat them black and blue, and forced them to dig open the shallow grave. It was an absolutely dreadful sight as the corpse had already started to swell. The demon possessed husband and wife were later stripped naked and paraded around the streets of Aba Sha. Though I'm not sure if they were arrested though, because I heard they were ostracized. It was disgraceful, with all the leaves tied around their necks and the dirt painted on their faces, and their nudity in all it's perfect glory to top it all. Like I said, I'm still surprised that this news piece never got to Nairaland, as horrible as it is. Or maybe I'm wrong though, I wouldn't mind some clarification. It kind of makes me wonder if Aba people don't know about Nairaland or something... And if the world can get any more evil.... |
BigYash:Chai, God I don suffer sha |
falcon01:For heaven's sake I'm not the one involved in this!!! Sha U won't try defending myself on a faceless forum. I gat no time for that stress |
GoldSantana:Believe me I've already adviced him to do that. But u know how shitty our police system is here in Nigeria. They'll NEVER take him and his case seriously, unless he brings money that he clearly doesn't have. And threatening the girl with the police might only infruirate her even more because she's aware of this fact. |
OyeofIkoTuN:Ion understand Are female friends above hook up or what? |
cassidy1996:Fake? What makes you Think it's FAKE Abi U don't believe girls can do something like this or what ? Ion understand |
? Yet, they couldn't do anything about it cos once the student reports to his parents that they're punishing him, they'd withdraw him and the school wouldn't want to lose money so they just ignored that.
?
Op ,e no go pass you when this thing happen to.. Talk true
