The house Ajao built.
This was the house of late chief Joseph Adeniran Ajao, the late bashorun of Aawe at his family compound in Aawe town. He was born in 1900 and died in 1962 at the age of 62 years. he built the house in th 1940's if you have heard of Ajao Estate and Papa Ajao, both in lagos, then you have heardof chief Joseph Adeniran Ajao asthe said estates were name afterhim ashe was theintermediate ownerof all lands comprisedin these estates.
This building was one of the best when newly built in Aawe. I was reliably informed that people used to come from as far as oke-ogun area to look at the house. The late Alaafin Oba Onikepo Shiyanbola Ladigbolu together withhis Aremo and other Oyo dignitaries weresome of those who attended the housr warming ceremony. Today, the house is only a historical relic. A few tourists take a glance once in a while. What ever you have that makes you so proud today will become history tommorow.
