we would not sleep until domestic violence against women is totally eliminated. We have discovered that so many women are not enjoying their marriages. They are suffering, yet, they are pretending all is well with them. So many women are dying in silent, unable to speak up or walk away because of the threat from the abuser.

Celebrities / Watch Photos Of Some Nigeria Men Who Have Brutally Bumped Off their wives by womenabuse: 6:54pm On Nov 20, 2017
By Chinedumiwomen

It is legally wrong and unscriptural for a man to hit a woman no matter the gravity of her offence. A man that beats a woman is a coward and animal and suffering from mental illness. A man that beats a woman is not man enough. Any man that beats a woman is beating his downfall and goes to hell fire because; there is no scripture that authorise any man to beat a woman. We have tried to gather some names of Nigeria men who have brutally bumped off their wives.

Romance / Don't Be Autocratic To Your Wife. by womenabuse: 7:48pm On Nov 10, 2017
By Chinedumiwomen

The unfathomable brutality inflicted on women by their husbands do not only affect them spiritually and psychologically but also jeopardized the physical and mental health.

The manner and way in which some men treats their wives are strange. When a man treats his woman, abuse her and stop her from entering the work force, he fails to function as a real and responsible man.

Men should stop treating their wives like chattels. Treating her like an empty vessel has severe consequences on families, communities and societies. It will constitute an impediment to have your breakthrough.

You should adore your wife. Don't order her around or talk to her like nobody. She is your partner and part of you. Be among husbands that respect their wive. Don't talk to her like a dog. Show her she is important and valuable to you. Listen to her with your ears, mind, heart and body language. Let what borders her border you. Always compliment her value and respect her worth. Appreciate the little things she does for you. Look for any opportunity to praise her publicly. Let her friends and family members know that you respect her. We are assuring you if you respect your wife and treat her like as the queen of your heart and home, you will see the true magic in her as your wife and everything will start booming.

Her happiness will open ways for you. You will succeed both in health, academics, business, and all your human endeavors and your entire request would be granted by God and your expectation will never be cut off. In every single day,

your wife deserves to be appreciate, cherished, loved, pampered and respected.

Crime / Check Out , Why Girl Child Marriage Must Be Resisted by womenabuse: 7:16pm On Nov 10, 2017
By Chinedumiwomen

there is every reason early girl child marriage must be abolished a girl- child should be sent to school to learn, and contribute to the economic development, millions of girls are subjected to early marriage. The attainment of maturity for a girl to

man of her choice. If she has not attained the age, she is still as a minor and incapable of taking any decision relating to marriage. She is under the care and protection of her parent’s and the nation.
Without doubt, girl child marriage is not wrong; it is illegal and constitutes an offence under the Child Rights Act. The culture of child marriage should be eliminated.

The culture of marrying off underage girls is an abomination. Today there are many physical, heaths, psychological and economic reasons why girls should not be married off at tender age.

Marrying off a girl at tender age will cause physical and emotional damage to the young girl. The arising complications. May also cause infant mortality, morbidity, the dreaded vesicoraginal fistula or even death.

Instead of marrying off a girl child at tender age, she should be sent to school to learn. She should be sent to learn a trade , get formal education and venture into vocation. Marrying her off will deprive her the economic opportunity to contribute to the economic development of the country.

The impact of girl child education to economic development cannot be over- emphasized. Let us remember, " one book, one pen , one child, one teacher can change the world " consequently, send a girl child to school today.

Politics / Open Letter To His Excellency Gen. Mohammadu Buhari ( GCFR) by womenabuse: 9:52am On Nov 07, 2017
www.chinedumiwomen..com

His Excellency Sir,

Firstly, we want to seize this opportunity to thank the Almighty Allah, for giving us this honour and privilege to writing this letter to you believing that it will get to your office, as it appears no other way to draw your kind attention to the plight of Nigeria women and girls whose existence is enormously threatened in our great nation Nigeria. We pray to Almighty Allah to give you the strength, time and wisdom to read and assimilate the contents of this letter with solemn concentration.

His Excellency sir, we want to express our unalloyed and heartfelt gratitude for the few women you appointed in your administration. But it is quiet unfortunate that we are not excited and satisfied with the appointment. www.chinedumiwomen..com is world largest blog that fights for the rights of women and girls around the globe, and whose vision is to ending impunity for all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls all over the world.

In the last administration of the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, there were thirty five (35) per cent women in his administration. We expected that your administration should have more than 35 per cent women in your administration, but, instead, the reverse was the case. We are writing this open letter to you on behalf of Nigeria women.

Furthermore, your administration sir needs to have invested optimally in the women and girls to ensure they participate in the socio- economic development of the country. Your administration should have forged ahead with the empowerment of women and girls. Your administration should have included women in the economic and political decision - making processes of the country.

His Excellency sir, we are saddened because, women are being underrepresented. The series of audacious and unfathomable brutality inflicted in the women of our country need to stop. It is obvious that your administration did not ensure the right to equality. Undoubtedly, it is a legal point to grant equality to women in the society in all spheres just like males. Empowering women should have been your top priority because an empowered mother with Child makes the bright future of any nation.

Mr. President, you are a good man but surrounded by chauvinistic, misogynists and unapologetically men who hates women with passion.

His Excellency sir, one of the challenges your administration should have overcome is therefore to improve the quality of life of women and girls. But, what we are seeing today is nothing to write home about. Women empowerment is central to Nigeria's sustainability. Countries with higher level of gender equality enjoy higher levels of growth and performance. When women are empowered, they will contribute immensely to the revitalization of their societies and economics.

Nigeria is blessed with formidable women with excellent skill and integrity who can emerge as leaders if given the chance, women who can turn the fortunes of the country for good. These women are active and courageous. They are amazons in the political cycle.

His Excellency sir, Nigeria women have the potentials to promote national development. They have the talent necessary to evolve a new economic order to accelerate social and political development and consequently, transforming the society into a better one.

His Excellency sir, research has disclosed that for any development of any kind to be successful, women need to be empowered and accorded with much position as they constituted larger proportion of the population. Women have the abilities to build our nation.

Historically, we have Nigeria women who are pioneers today who contributed, in diverse ways for record purpose. They contributed both at the state and national levels to the development of Nigeria. It is amazing that many of your Federal appointments also ended up by act of omission or commission in the hands of men thereby neglecting women. Majority of the women that supported you overwhelmingly believed in your sense of fairness, justice, equity and were expected that in terms of Federal appointments, you will look in their direction. But disappointingly, your administration has undermined the women.

His Excellency sir, we do not doubt the competence, confidence, abilities of our women. You promised that your administration will give women a voice in your government. Female representation at the legislative arm of government which is about six per cent is still too low, compared to her male counterparts. We want to see more female participation in your government. It is not late Mr. President.

His Excellency sir, we can still recall that during your last presidential election campaign, you vowed to empower women after you were inaugurated, you forget your promises on women. You can put an end to the current recession, by empowering women and girls. To lift every women and girls out of violence and discrimination should be your top priority. If this is not done, extreme poverty and instability will spread. And if it is done, millions of women and girls around the world will applaud you for your gender sensitivity.

Thousands of women and girls are denied the rights to education and equal opportunities. Many girls have been married off instead of sending them to school to learn. Domestic violence against women has become rampant in Nigeria. Sexual violence has become order of the day. We hear all sorts of stories every day of the evils that men do especially to the girl- child. It is disturbing. Are they not the ones to bring an entire generation into the world if their wombs remain intact? They are responsible for future Nigeria.

His Excellency sir, with all due respect, we implore you to execute a bill to protect girls and women from any forms of violence and discrimination. Nigeria women and girls are dehumanized and marginalized every day. They have been grossly neglected in the share of things in the nation. The empowerment of women and girls have been shattered by our leaders. Empowering women and girls is an indispensable weapon to fight against poverty in Nigeria. If they are empowered, they will change Nigeria. If women and girls are empowered to do more and be more, the possibility of sustainable economic growth becomes apparent.

His Excellency sir, your administration should focus on ways to advance women's empowerment and identify the tools needed by women to genuinely participate and benefit from gender responsive inclusive growth and development.

In conclusion, His Excellency sir, women should be recognized and given their due positions. It is not late. Something can still be done. Women as persons are agents of reproduction of life blood of the entire humanity. Gone is the era when women occupation ends in the kitchen. Women do not belong to the kitchen. A true democracy is a democracy where women do not only have the right to vote and elect, but also to be elected. Democracy is improbable without women. Poverty is cyclical; it can never end without women. Corruption will persist to exist if women are not involved in fighting against it. More women in government, corruption will become a thing of the past. Educate a man, you educate an individual, educate a women, you educate the entire generation. There is no better tool to achieving economic progress than empowering women and girls. No amount of fasting and prayer will change Nigeria without the invaluable contributions of women. Empower a woman you empower the nation. The greatest investment in the world is investing in women and girls. God placed women as fulcrum in which the society rotes. We urge your government to bring more women to the development of the economy and society at large.

Thank you His Excellency sir, for your undivided attention and time you have taken to read this letter despite your crowded schedule. We believe that change will definitely come to women and girls. We pray the Almighty Allah, to give you the strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs of this great nation.

Thank you immensely once again as we eagerly waiting for your positive response.

Politics / Open Letter To Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. by womenabuse: 9:43am On Nov 07, 2017
By Chinedum Francis , Founder and CEO of www.Chinedumiwomen..com

Your Excellency
Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode
Lagos State Governor, Head of State
Government House, Ikeji
Lagos.

Your Excellency sir, we write with most sincere pleasure as the governor of Lagos State and render our special gratitude to you and bring you peace of God which surpasses all human understanding in the name of our lord Jesus Christ and Savior.

We cannot commend you highly enough for your unflinching, passionate and undivided attention you have demonstrated in empowering women in your government. Your significant and remarkable role you have played in safeguarding the lives of women against domestic violence portrayed that you are truly a domestic violence eradication advocate.

Your Excellency, we are over-excited and have joyously noticed how well you had passed a bill to ending domestic violence against women in Lagos state. It is indeed marvelous to know that your good work will earn you a resounding result. We cannot hold ourselves from writing you this letter to express how deeply happy we are when we heard and read how you have waned into matters relating to women abuse in Lagos State. We know that you will be sustained by God Almighty throughout your administration. Your Excellency sir, we believe that women empowerment is the critical possibility of becoming a developed nation and the ability to participate in Global Economy Competitors. Women are an important element of our society. The basic unit of society is a woman. Domestic violence against women is looming high in Nigeria. So many women's lives have been shattered in the name of marriage. So many women are emotionally, psychologically and spiritually traumatized. The incessant beating, punching, kicking, slapping, etc., have jeopardized the lives of women. So many women have been burnt in an abusive marriage. So many women's lives have been tarnished in an unsavoury marriage.

Your Excellency sir, no woman deserves such an inhuman treatment in the name of marriage. We have heard and read all sorts of agonizing stories everyday of the evil that men do to their wives. It’s so disturbing. So many women are dying in silent because of the threat from the abusers.

Your Excellency sir, domestic violence is fast becoming a norm in our nation. We need to speak up and lend our voices as much as possible and encourage the victims to speak up early enough to avoid a nasty fate. Alarming number of women think spousal abuse is sometimes ok. We all know that it is never ok, it is never accepted for a husband to hit, push, burn, punch, pinch, shoot, slap, kick, stab, and cut his wife no matter the gravity of her incompetence. Your Excellency sir, you are one in million. In years to come, Nigeria, Africa, West Africa and the world at large will continue to be grateful to you and your generation, many thanks to you and your administration.

Your Excellency sir, we think it is an excellent idea to talk about gender parity in your administration. Women are the life blood of our nation. A nation will fail to blossom without women. A nation's freedom will not be complete until women and girls were free from all kinds of abuse, poverty, and deprivation. Life in this phenomenal world is impermanent without women.

Your Excellency sir, with all due respect, we also want to use this medium to implore you to treat women equally in your administration. Women should equally be recognized in your administration. They should be empowered equally among their male counterparts in your administration. Women are not inferior to men.

Your Excellency sir, the progress of any nation is measured by the degree of progress which women have achieved. There should be an active and equal participation of women in your administration. It is not too late, something can still be done. Gender imbalance should be discarded in your government. With all due respect sir, we demand you passed gender equality bill that will distinguish you among your contemporaries around the world. We challenge your administration to work with more women. For the few women your have appointed in your administration, we say, kudos to you. More grease to your elbow. More women are needed.

Permit us your Excellency sir, to go back to the issues of domestic violence; we can still recollect the advice of Her Excellency, Mrs. Bolande Ambode, the first Lady of Lagos State said. She lamented that, “Domestic violence in the form of assault on wife, child - battering and other uncivilized behaviour against women seemed to have got fresh fancy from some men who are still living in the primitive times.” Speaking further, she said, “ Many victims of domestic violence become victims of their own psychological realities. So many men have callously turned their wives into a punching bag. How can a man descend on his wife so heavily at the slightest annoyance?” This is globally unacceptable to us.

Your Excellency sir, the idea that government should not wane into domestic violence cases is totally and universally prohibited. We commend you for your passionate interest in protecting women. Sir, we are imploring that you should extend this to other women who have no courage to speak as a result of threat from the abusers. You are indeed a great leader, an indefatigable leader, a distinguished leader and a gender - sensitive leader.

Your Excellency sir, another key area your administration should look into is girl - child education. To denial their rights to education is to denial their economic opportunities, which will in turn lead to economic backwardness. Early, forced and child marriage should not be allowed to exist. Girl- child should be sent to school to acquire the skill to change her world. She should be empowered to enjoy equal opportunity like the boy - child.

When a boy child is educated, an individual is educated, but, when a girl child is educated, the entire world is educated. Girl child is not a lesser being. She has no fish brain. Your administration should channel more resources in investing in education of the girl child. The important of educating the girl child can not be over - emphasized. Your administration should envisage the education of the girl child as a priority.

Your Excellency sir, words would not be sufficient to express our sincere appreciation to you. We would not cease to applaud you and your administration. You are a true African leader. You should never to stop fighting for the rights of our women today and tomorrow. If this is done, sir, women will be proud of you.

In conclusion, we want to say thanks a million for the time you have created in reading this letter despite your busy schedule. May God grant you the wisdom and energy to pilot the affairs of the state effectively and efficiently. God in its infinite mercy will never leave you and your household unrewarded. May God bless you beyond human imagination.

Long Live Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

Dear Ma’am, permit us to go back to your domestic violence experience. It was pathetic. But, one thing for sure, life is about experience. Life is an epilogue, when we stop learning we start dying. You disclosed in numerous occasions how you were incessantly abused and branded as the abuser. We are aware that diverse mechanisms and strategies were employed to tarnish your reputation and to make you be envisaged as a wayward. That should not weigh you down. We are also aware of the schemes that were utilized to make you be seen as irresponsible. That should not stop you from moving on as you are currently utilizing your potential and opportunities that are coming your way. Domestic violence is looming high in Nigeria. The evidence is indisputable. So many men have no respect for womanhood. Domestic violence has shattered the lives of so many women today. So many women have been sent to their early graves in the name of marriage. So many women are dying in silent. It is amazing that, women are trying to fix their marriages, but the men are somewhere preparing for the funeral of their wives. This sounds so wicked and sardonic.

Dear Ma’am, you did the right thing for speaking up. You are perhaps, a strong woman. You are an Amazon, a woman with a fantastic future. The whole strategies that have been used to jeopardize your good name are utterly incongruous in its setting. You are a young woman of indomitable spirit.

You did the right thing by running away from abusive marriage. We have always encouraged women that it is better to run away from abusive marriage than stay and perish. Women deserved not to be humiliated but to be respected. A man that will not value your worth is not your man. It is not only legally wrong, but unscriptural for a man to raise his hand on his wife. For the fact that he paid her bride price does not authorized or gives any man an audacity, and temerity, to punch, pinch, kick, stab, slap, shoot, cut his wife, any man that does that is not man enough.

We have always advised that any wife that suffers physical abuse must not remain silent. No matter how much he apologizes, he will always repeat his autocratic, undemocratic and tyrannical actions. Fasting and praying for him to change is a total waste of time. He will not change. When a woman stops her husband from abusing her and he repudiated or derives pleasure from it, the man is a devil, coward, predator, and a kleptomaniac. Women should walk away from unsavoury marriage and never listen to human principles. No, matter the background a woman is coming from, she deserves to be treated with respect. A woman battles and undergoes many pains to bring a man's progeny into the world. God will hold every man responsible for the holistic growth of his wife.

Dear Ma’am, never feel ashamed of the criticism of your foes. Stay strong and move on. God is the author of true happiness. And His word will neither be diminished nor decayed. We urge you to cherish the word of God and care for the less privilege. God has so many stupendous packages for you. He (God) wants to do something marvelous in your entire life. There have been infinite battle and discrepancies whether you were truly abused or not. Well, we know the truth. The Holy Bible declared forcibly that, those who put their trust in God will not be disappointed. The Holy book says " Remember ye not the former things neither consider the things of old” (Isaiah 43vs 18). We pray that God Almighty will strengthen you the more. Like stated earlier there are more great things ahead of you. Every disappointment is a blessing. All hope is not lost. Despite the present challenges about your domestic violence experience, be strong and do not allow the experience to weaken you

We pray that every palpable cloud of darkness that may try to over shadow the peace and tranquility you are supposed to enjoy have been dismantled. Your personality may have been castigated and misconstrued. In reality, your numerous qualities, individualism, intellectualism and diversities of your operations are remarkable and worth of consideration.

Always endeavour to listen to God. When he tells you to go, you go and when he tells you to stop you stop. Do not engage in the things that will contravene His purpose for your life.

Commit to render your voice to the voiceless women around the world. Commit to support programmes to empower women and girls and to end impunity for all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls. Join us in saying No to domestic violence against women.

Nairaland / General / Women Empowerment: No Amount Of Intimidation And Humiliation Can Stop Us. by womenabuse: 10:41am On Nov 06, 2017
By chinedumiwomen

who can stop us from empowering women and girls around the world. Who can stop us from eliminating impunity for all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world? Nobody can stop us not even the devil.

We are highly committed to empowering women and the girl-child education, gender parity, women political participation, ending domestic violence against women, female genital mutilation, sexual abuse etc.

Women are important in a society. The impact of women to economic development can not be over- emphasized- we all know that without the women no development of any kind can take place. Poverty, which is cyclical, cannot be eradicated without the women.

Nobody can silent our critical, perceivable and principled voice of truth. We have stood resolutely to speak out vociferously against what we called orchestrated attempts to silent the voice of women.

The continuation of the desperate but despicable and condemnable attempts to destroy the potential and rights of the women must stop. Universally, this is intolerable and unacceptable. We are totally against the way the society treats women. Women are treated as if they are not full human beings and part of the human community. Society without women is like life without blood and car without an engine.

Despite the fact that we are in a male dominated, chauvinistic, misogynist, sexiest, satanically, apologetically and patriarchal society, we must fight to save the future of our women and girls. The despicable brutality inflicted on women and girls must not be allowed persist. Allowing it to persist will bring a downfall to a country.

Are women not the ones that bring the entire generation into the world? We have head all sorts of agonizing and irritating stories every day of the evils that men do to women and the girl- child. It is so disturbing.

Call it old fashioned, but we know that respecting a woman is one of the greatest things to uphold in life. A country can treat the women right or watch the country in shambles. Every woman deserves to be honored. Whenever a man thinks of disrespecting a woman, he should think how he was brought to the world. Let us ask the man, do you know the pain's your mother passed through before she was able to bring you to the world? She fed you with her breast and look at what you have became today. The only way you can say mother, thank you is to respect womanhood. If you insult any woman. You have ended up insulting your mother and your even let alone beating her.

No amount of challenges and castigation will dissuade us. This is a divine assignment. So, beware, beware. Think twice before hurting these fragile little mice.

Nairaland / General / Ending Domestic Violence Against Women. by womenabuse: 10:34am On Nov 06, 2017

As a domestic violence against women eradication expert and speaker, we have discovered that so many women are living in pains. Their lives have been shattered and jeopardized in the name of marriage.

The truth is that, it is hazardous to remain in abuse marriage. Women listen, your mother did not carry you in her womb for consecutive nine months with enormous care and love for you to be humiliated.

Domestic violence against women is becoming alarming in our society. In fact, it’s becoming a norm. It’s a big problem in Africa and the world at large. It has impoverished so many families today. So many men derived joy in kicking, slapping, pushing, punching, pinching, shooting, and their wives instead of correcting her with kind words. I have heard several cases where a man murdered her wife because she did not bring her dinner on time. We have heard cases where a man killed her pregnant wife because she couldn't wash his dirty clothes. I have heard cases where a man broke his wife's eye socket and legs probably because she did not cook his favorite mention but a few.

Domestic violence against women is becoming rampant. It has devastated the lives of many women. The incessant beating, molestation and torture have sent so many women is this; put an end to any unsavory marriage. Do not die in abusive marriage. Run away for your own safety. Speak up. Tell someone about what you are passing through. If you remain in an abusive, thinking that he will change from his autocratic and tyrannical actions, he will not. Do not waste your precious time praying and fasting for him to turn back from his bad behaviors that is the biggest mistake you will ever make.

Dissolve any marriage that will endanger your life. Do not waste your time on a man who does not value you. If you are a victim of domestic violence, do not remain silent, no matter how much and how much time he apologizes. He will always continue with his tyrannical actions. If you die in abusive marriage, he will marry the next victim.

It pains us whenever we see men preparing for their wives funeral while the woman is busy working assiduously and passionately to make the marriage work. The man called your husband can poison you and claim that you died as a result of your infidelity. You bore the pain of child bearing to give the man his descendants you deserve happiness.

Nobody should scorn domestic violence victims. Let render our voices to the voiceless women who cannot speak up. Let’s say, No to Domestic violence. Let’s put a stop to it. Remember, no one is exempted. It can happen to your sister, niece, daughter, female friend, female staff, etc. Lets unit ourselves to ensure women are safe. If we don’t do this, we are doing the victims and their families a great disservice. Women are our mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, nieces, aunts, etc; they have the right to safety.
