Girls’ education goes beyond getting girls into school. It is also about ensuring that girls learn and feel safe while in school; complete all levels of education with the skills to effectively compete in the labor market; learn the socio-emotional and life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to a changing world; make decisions about their own lives; and contribute to their communities and the world.


Girls’ education is a strategic development priority. Better educated women tend to be healthier, participate more in the formal labor market, earn higher incomes, have fewer children, marry at a later age, and enable better health care and education for their children, should they choose to become mothers. All these factors combined can help lift households, communities, and nations out of poverty.

According to UNESCO estimates, 130 million girls between the age of 6 and 17 are out of school and 15 million girls of primary-school age—half of them in sub-Saharan Africa— will never enter a classroom.

Poverty remains the most important factor for determining whether a girl can access an education. For example, in Nigeria, only 4 percent of poor young women in the North West zone can read, compared with 99 percent of rich young women in the South East. Studies consistently reinforce that girls who face multiple disadvantages — such as low family income, living in remote or underserved locations, disability or belonging to a minority ethno-linguistic group — are farthest behind in terms of access to and completion of education.

Violence also negatively impacts access to education and a safe environment for learning. For example, in Haiti, recent research highlights that one in three Haitian women (ages 15 to 49) has experienced physical and/or sexual violence, and that of women who received money for sex before turning 18 years old, 27 percent reported schools to be the most common location for solicitation.

Child marriage is also a critical challenge. Child brides are much more likely to drop out of school and complete fewer years of education than their peers who marry later. This affects the education and health of their children, as well as their ability to earn a living. According to a recent report, more than 41,000 girls under the age of 18 marry every day and putting an end to the practice would increase women’s expected educational attainment, and with it, their potential earnings. According to estimates, ending child marriage could generate more than $500 billion in benefits annually each year

Every day, girls face barriers to education caused by poverty, cultural norms and practices, poor infrastructure, violence, and fragility. The WBG has joined with governments, civil society organizations, multilateral organization, the private sector, and donors to advance multi-sectoral approaches to overcome these challenges. Working together with girls and women, the WBG focus includes:

Providing conditional cash transfers, stipends or scholarships;
Reducing distance to school;
Targeting boys and men to be a part of discussions about cultural and societal practices;
Ensuring gender-sensitive curricula and pedagogies;
Hiring and training qualified female teachers;
Building safe and inclusive learning environments for girls and young women;
Ending child/early marriage; and
Addressing violence against girls and women.

To all women around the world, I appreciate you all. God is a real feminist. Feminism started right from creation. God is a respecter of womanhood. The power of woman started from the beginning of the universe. Have you ever wondered
and tried to fathom why God made Adam to sleep deeply before creating Eve? Adam was unaware of Eve's creation. Why? God does not want Adam to know when Eve was created so that Adam will not see Eve as inferior. God does not Adam to see Eve as inferior. God does not want Eve to appear as inferior to Adam. God does not want Eve to appear as chattel or garbage to Adam. God does not want Adam to see Eve as a nonentity. God does not want Adam to see Eve as irrelevant. God does not want Adam to see Eve as a course but as a blessing. God does not want Adam to see Eve as a second-class individuals.

God intentionally made Adam to sleep when He was about to create a woman so that men will treat women as a queen and treasure. Women were created with solid materials than men. If you doubt me, check the body built of every woman. Men came from the dust while women came from the bone. A man's life is completely dysfunctional without a woman. Every woman is unique. Women are special products of God. When God finished His creation, He asked, "Whom shall I give the power to bring the next generation of humanity?" Finally, God gave woman the power to bring the next generation of mankind. This means that, Women are powerful. We love men that respect women. God created men to protect women not to humiliate them. Adam never humiliated his wife. Adam named his wife Eve, because she is special. She would become the mother of all living.(Genesis 3:20).

The name Eve in Hebrew is Chavvah, and it simply means life-giver. Women are life-giver, without them, there would be procreation. Women battled between life and death to bring the man's progeny into the world. Women went through life and death to bring the man's descendant into the world. Sperm is of no use without an egg. God gave women, God gave women the power to be able to carry a baby to term and to deliver that baby. He (God) gave women extraordinary abilities. A sperm is not much use without an egg.

Sperm uniting with an egg is what creates human life. And the resulting embryo's cells begin to multiply when it is in the nurturing environment of the womb. There is never a reason for any man to be violent towards any woman. Men have an important role to play in sending out the message that real men never abuse or hurt a woman. Women should be appreciated not dehumanized. God does not authorized men to treat women inhumanly. Even the Holy Quran does not permit men women. The audacious and unfathomable brutality inflicted against women and girls must stop.

There is no effective tool to achieving sustainable economic development than empowering women and girls.Women empowerment is the precondition and prerequisites to take a country from a lower level to a higher level. Women empowerment is
the critical possibility of becoming a developed nation and the ability to participate in global economy competitions. A nation will fail to blossom without empowering women and girls. It is time to eliminated culture of violence and discrimination against women and girls who are our mothers, wives, daughters and sisters. Cultures and traditions that bestow men the rights to brutalize, oppress women and girls and violate their rights is
a very bad cultures and traditions. It need change. Culture that gives men the audacity, guarantee and temerity to suppress women is a diabolical culture. It should be totally erased. We must keep advocating for the elimination of cultures and traditions that projected women and girls as inferior and second-class citizens to men. Women need to have safe work opportunities and protection mechanisms. We must fortify and strengthen systems to make sure that women's safety are taken into account, protect their rights and eradicate all forms of violence. Women play a critical and significant role in the development of a nation. And it is necessary for women to have rights and adequate security against any harmful practices. When you save the life of any women, you are contributing productively into the economy. The deepest of a woman's insecurities often come from the men who have hurled them.

Women and girls have the right to feel safe wherever they are. Time to end culture of abuse, harassment, marginalization and under representation against women and girls is now, not tomorrow and not in the future. It is strange, unthinkable and undemocratic for men to be saddled with the power to humiliate their female counterparts. Enough Is Enough!

I have over heard some men saying " After all I paid her bride price so I have the right to beat her and treat her the way I way I want." This is blatant lie. No man on this planet has any right to hit his wife. We will not tolerate that. Your wife is not your slave and should not be treated like a slave. Paying a token as bride price does not give you the audacity, effrontery, right, and impetus to best your wife. She is neither your acquisition nor your property.


She is your wife. This is time to call a spade a spade. We stands for Justice, Equality and Transparency. The era where a woman's place is in the kitchen has gone. In this 21st century, as a woman had the responsibility to cook for the family, a man can also cook for the family and believe me, that will not make you less a man. Men should start getting acquainted with the kitchen. Don't leave all the house chores to your wife. Don't turn her into a slave. Don't beat her if she upset you. Why do men think that because they paid the woman's bride price, they have the right to molest her? So many men have misunderstood the meaning of bride price.

You need not order your wife or talk to her like a crap. Does that make you feel like a man to sit on the couch, scratch your balls that you brag are big and talk to your wife like a dog? Men, if you think you deserve a medal or trophy for being mouthy toward your wife, have a rethink. You should adore your wife and treat her like the queen she deserved. See her as the most spectacular woman you have ever met. Don't dream of ordering her around or talk to her like a dirt because you paid her bride price. She is your partner, the bone of your bones and the flesh of your flesh.

She is by far a better part of you. She is neither your slave nor your property. She is a human bring and part of the human community. Treat her well because she is some else daughter. Treat her the way you will want your brother-in-law to treat your sister. Treat her the way you will like your son-in-law to treat your daughter.

Its high time we corrected the misconception and myth of feminist and feminism. This is potentially crucial and imperative. So many people have wrong perception about these terms. So many people found them extremely perplexing. People have been deceived by the terms "Feminist" and "Feminism" because they don't comprehend the concept. Please men, feminists don't hate men. So many women see feminism as stubbornness. Being crude is not feminism.
Lesbianism and prostitution are not feminism. Feminism does not mean the rise of women and the fall of men. Feminism does not mean dislike or hatred for men. Feminism does not mean women should be dependent on men for their survival. Feminism does not mean women should stay at home to be paid monthly stipends by their husbands. Feminism has absolutely nothing to do with putting down men or boys in order to elevate the status of women and girls. Feminism does not mean women are powerful while men are powerless.

Feminism doesn't mean women should not override their men. The word " Feminism" is a noun. It means the believe and aim that women should have the same rights and opportunities as men and the struggle to achieve this aim. Then, the word "Feminist" is also a noun. A feminist is an activist who supports the idea that women should have equal rights and opportunities as their male counterparts. You ask whether a woman should be paid the same wages as man when she does the same work? To this, there can be the same quantity and quality of work under the same conditions as a man. Simple, justice requires that she should be paid the same wages. To deny her this is to deny her justice.

If you objected strongly women being paid less than men for doing the same job, you are probably a feminist. If you believe that women should have the same political, social and economic rights as men, you are a feminist. It has absolutely nothing to do with degrading men to upgrading women. The word "Feminist" comes from "Feminism," which originally meant simply "Being Feminine." Or being a woman but gained the meaning advocacy of women's rights in the late 1800s. There is a difference between a feminist and a misandrist.

Feminism is a good thing. Some people who think they are feminist are bordering on misandrists. And that's what gave feminism a negative name. You are not a feminist if you put down men while bringing up women. People who hate the feminist movement because it puts down men don't hate feminist. They hate misandry. Please, don't have a bad look on feminists. So many woman see feminism as to challenge their husbands, that's not feminism. Dear men, when you batter your wife and she challenges you, don't blame it on feminism, blame it on your bad attitude. When you as a man tried to diminish the worth of your wife by infringing on her rights and she tries to stood on her ground, don't blame on feminism, blame it on your wickedness towards her. Dear women, if you are a dependent on your husband or boyfriend, you are not a feminist.

Feminism means to be proud of femininity. Feminism means liberalism applied to women. Synonymously, it also means, the women's movement, women's liberation, female emancipation and women's rights. Feminism is the advocacy of women's right on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men. Feminism does not mean women should depend on their bodies for survival. Feminism does not mean women against men. Feminism does mean war against men. It means you believe in equality. It's not a dirty word. Feminism means fighting for the rights of women with her, to empower her to reach her full potential in all aspects of life. Feminism simply means clamoring for equal education, social, political and financial opportunities for the female gender. It's a unique way of saying women are human beings too and should not be envisaged as inferior and second-class citizens.

So many countries in the world have started removing barriers that limit women from actively participating in governance and Nigeria cannot be left behind. It is high time women be bailed from quanqmire of exclusion from governance and politics. Women's political participation is essential to the growth of democracy. We have hope in the capabilities of our women. They can never fail like their male counterparts. We believe in the potentialities of our women to move this nation forward. Nigeria needs female president and leaders. More women in governance less corruption.



The implication of the previous was that, women were relegated to only spectator-ship roles in the Nigerian's political arena. It is believed that women can only role for men; they cannot be voted or elected. This is rubbish. Windows of political opportunities should be opened for women so that more women will come. Politics as a block of people who are determined to takeover leadership because they constitute the most significant proportion of the Nigeria population. Gone are the days, when the men use our women before, during and after elections and dumped them after ascending to the position of power and influence. 

Political space should be opened for our women. Political parties must begin to readjust their constitutions to deliberately pave way for more women to pick tickets for presidency, governorship, state and national assemblies’ on their platform. Non- complaint parties will bear the consequences.

Equality and opportunity for women and girls is incredibly important for peace, prosperity and progress for us all. Lack of gender equality prevents women and girls from enjoying their rights and freedom on a basic of equality with men. Lack of Gender equality is an impediment to the attainment Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and other International Agreed Development Goals.



It is only when women and girls are allowed to participate equality like the men that we can achieve a brighter future. Gender equality is the only utility which can show a brighter path towards achieving economic growth. In this our generation, gender equality is achievable. Gender equality enables women and girls to enjoy their rights and freedom. If we want to see our countries as the most development country of the world, then gender equality must be practiced. Gender equality must be promoted in Churches, Mosques, Sports and Politics, etc.

Countries that encourage gender equality enjoy higher economic growth. Gender disparity must be eliminated. We must achieve a future where gender equality will exist. We must create a world where gender inequality would not be tolerated. We are committed to work with UNWomen and other International organisations to eliminate gender inequalities. When gender equality exists, positive change happens. Nations thrive when gender equality exist. There should be no discrimination between men and women. A country's progress is judged in this contemporary time how she has allowed women to enjoy equal rights like the men. We urge government of the worlds, and International policy makers to implement concrete policies that will promote gender equality. What a man can do, a woman can do it even better.

Education is the passport to the future of the girl child. Education they say is the bedrock for the development of any society. The development nations of the world started by ensuring that the educating of the women was given the priority it deserved. We have taken up this challenge of educating the girl child around the world. We would educate the girl child in science, technology and arts, so that corruption, insecurity and poverty will be erased from our national and international profile.


Truthfully, there are many challenges confronting our society, but we are more concerned about ending all forms of violence against women and girls, and other harmful practices. We also concerned about the education of the girl child, including the physically challenged female children. The physically challenged female children are being neglected, expose to dangerous practices in the name of begging for arms. Today and tomorrow, we are saying No to this because they can do better than that.

Who are physically challenged people? These are people with one form of deformity or the other ranging from blindness, cripple, deaf and dumb, etc. We can and must deviate from comparing physically deformed female children with the mentally deranged. There are huge differences between the blind, deaf, cripple and insane. The blind, cripple and dumb can utilize their brains in solving economic and societal problems. Consequently, we should desist from equating them with the insane.

These girls are unique and special. The society doesn't have to blame them. They were not created to be deformed, but due to unforeseen circumstances, ignorance and carelessness on the side of the parents. They were found on these painful and pitiable situations. But, we can do something to better their lives. Sending them to school should be a priority. They should be seen as special, in dealing with them, they should not be neglected. It is unanimously agreed that some female children in the same situation has turned out to be successful in different fields of life like music, trading, arts, lecturing, etc. But all these can only be achieved when the veils covering their faces are removed and they begin to see clearly even when there is no eye. The question is, how can these veils be removed? There is only one way to remove these veils, the way is EDUCATION.

Educate the physically challenged girls. She is gifted. She will live to take care of herself, her family and contribute her quota to the sustainable economic development of the society at large. We would not stop to educate the physically challenged girls who our society would be proud of because their potentialities can facilitate the growth and development of a nation.

The saying that if you empower the girl- child, you empower the world is irrefutable. If you educate a girl- child, you educate the whole world. The girl- child will become a mother tomorrow, and an educated mother will educate her children and the nation at large.


A girl- child without education is like a waste product to her family. There is need to improve in girl- child education in the country. Parents should allow and encourage female children to go to school. What we must keep reminding ourselves of is that the girl- child is by no means inferior intellectually to their boy - child. When you educate a girl- child, the entire generation is educated, this is not just a saying, its a reality.

Send girl- child to school today so that she can become astronauts, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, and nuclear engineers, etc. It is high time we broke the stereotype that the girl- child is a lesser and has fish brain. It will be insensitive and uncharactable to deny the girl- child her right of going to school to acquire the necessary she needs to become a productive leader tomorrow, contribute to her family, society and the nation respectively. Stopping the girl- child from going to school will cripple the economy of a country. According to Malala Yousafzai '' let us remember, one book, one pen, one child one teacher can change the world. Send a girl- child to school today. She has the right to education. She has no fish brain. She is not a lesser being. No society can make any progress without educating the girl- child. They deserve to go to school because they are human beings and not toys.

Educate a boy, you educate an individual. Educate a girl you educate the entire family. A girl child has the right to education.
We are insisting that our girls be sent to school and not to infant marriages. Give a girl- child pen and not a penis.
The benefit of girl-child education to sustainable economic development cannot be over - emphasized. Send a girl child to school today. Remember, "one book, one pen, one child, one teacher can change the world".

Without girl- child education, the world would be completely dysfunction in every aspect. Let us give the girl child chance to show her intellectual capability. Girl child education is the key to economic development.
When a girl child is prevented from going to school, their rights would be violated, rights to health, education and opportunity. It exposes the girls to violence throughout their lives and traps them in a cycle of poverty.

An educated girl has the self- confidence and necessary skill to comprehend the need to be a better daughter, sister, wife, and mother and make a progressive family.
Education is very important whether a boy or a girl. Education is one of the most critical areas of empowerment for women. Send a girl - child to school is one sure way of giving them much needed power of enabling them to contribute to the development of society.

The dividend for educational investment is often higher for girl than boy.

We should consider the advancement of women's rights and women's economic inclusion poverty. Other things become irrelevant if women are left behind. So many countries around the World are practicing gender imbalance policy in order to dehumanize women and inflict poverty on them. No country should be thinking of actualizing economic success, if women are not carried along. So many countries around the globe should better prepare for economic epidemic because of the way they treat women. Women should be involved in transforming the World. No country around the world will achieve her full potential if she do not empower women and girls.

Women have the analytical skills and tools to contribute to the demystification of our universe. Without empowering women and girls, development will continue to elude the country despite its enormous resources. We want to state emphatically that, the future of the World lies in the hands of women. If women come into power, they will move from traditional method of analysis to developmental approach whereby the issue of disaster, insurgency, poverty, would be discussed within the realm of developmental study. NEED TO EMPOWER WOMEN

Reconstruction and reconciliation efforts take root more quickly and are more sustainable when women are involved. Women involvement is the sine qua non is solving a country's conflicts. God blessed women with the spirit to promoting peace building. By helping women become participating member of a democracy, one can look to mitigate conflicts or stop conflicts before they begin.

The era of disrespecting women has gone. At this contemporary time, women are becoming intelligent and stronger than their male counterparts in all ramifications. Women have an instrumental role to play in the creation of an enabling environment in the form of gender - sensitive policies, legislation and mechanism to combat chaos. Women should be integrated to contribute to decision- making. This is a powerful factor that can combat any form of conflict and also lead to national reconstruction and reconciliation.

Women have an incomparable wisdom to take a country to the next level for the betterment of all and sundry. Living them behind will lead to economic, social and political backwardness, thereafter, increasing corruption, recession, terrorism, kidnapping, conflict, suffering and poverty, etc. We are reaching a point in development where if we do not demand that women contribute their full potential then we notice a massive creative lag in that society. No country can be free, until every woman has the same rights opportunities and obligations as their male counterparts.

Women are intelligent than their male counterparts in all ramifications. If women are given the chance, they will move the country forward. Women are blessed with an incomparable wisdom. Wisdom are reliable and good managers of resources.

Nigeria is suffering today because the leaders lack creative, innovative ideas to better the country. Nigeria leaders have no idea, they have exhausted all their ideas and we are still in zero level. Nigeria is blessed with several natural resources like crude oil, cotton, cocoa, limestone, etc, but almost all Nigeria leaders concentrated much on crude oil. A whole state would be depending for funds from the federal government. Why not develop the resources of that state? Nigeria leaders have no good intention about the country. Their aims of coming to power are nothing but to siphoned funds meant for development.

This is embarrassing. Nigerians are being crucified in other countries because of bad leaders in Nigeria. If Nigeria is good, they wouldn't have had the plan of running to other country for a greener pasture.

Can you articulate where Nigeria is heading to? Nigeria is dying and capsizing gradually. Nigeria leaders have done all they could to bring the country to its prosperity, all to no avail.

It is high time we tried the ideas of women. Women are home builders. Let’s give them chance to rebuild the already scattered country. Let’s give women the chance to put smile in faces of the masses. Let’s give women the chance to reform the country.

It is high time men should know the truth. As a man, you cannot force to have sex with your wife without her permission without her consent, it is rape. So many men have subjected their wives to emotional abuse. Denying your wife sex is an abuse. Men who denied their wives sex is subjecting them to psychological and emotional abuse.

In most cases, women suffer emotional abuse than physical abuse. It is the responsibility of the man to make sure that his wife is sexually satisfied to prevent immorality. There are men who find it very hard to satisfy their wife. They denied their wives sex because of one inconveniences or the other. Any man that always complains of being tired has mistresses.
The woman will have no option than to look for a young man who will extinguish her urge. So many men are pushing their wives to cheat on them. What would prompt a man to starve his wife like 1 week, one months or more even 1 year? A responsible man will never work to accumulate everything, thereby neglecting his wife feelings.

A man should spend enough time before he penetrates. He should not be in a hurry or else his wife will not be satisfied and will not reach orgasm.
Don't be a man who will look at your wife's unclothedness get excited, kiss her, caress her breasts , quickly enter, ejaculate, and afterwards rise up and stop. The truth is that your wife did not enjoy the sex or reach orgasm.

Improving the integrity of our democracy can only be achieved by women. Nigeria democracy is improbable without women. Nigerian's politicians have hijacked Nigeria. Nigeria is a patriarchal society.

A country that practices true democracy will not disregard women. A country that practices democracy will not do anything to silence women. A country that practices democracy will not envisage women as second individuals who should be caged and chained inside the other room. A country that practices democracy will not hate women. Among all these, do we see Nigeria as a democratic nation? The answer is absolutely no. Nigeria's democracy has been manipulated and turned to DEMOCRAZY. As far as the truth can only be suspended but can never be truncated, a nation that does not respect womanhood is a failed nation. Nigeria is a failed democratic nation. Government of the men, for the men and by the men, is that what democracy entails? Is that the meaning of a true democracy? But that is what Nigeria is practicing. Democracy is for everyone.

The constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria needs to be reviewed and re- written because it is not yet completed. Any constitution that will not recognize or respect the word “She “that constitution is inferior and incomplete. A true democracy can never, never be actualized if women are still underrated because it is the women who build a nation.

Nigeria's politicians are holding this country ransom. Are we not fed- up with their lies and political brouhaha? Let’s candidly tell us, all these ranting our men and our leaders are making will not yield good fruits for this country. A leader that will not carry women along is worst than a failure. So many men who claimed to be fathers are becoming obviously arrogant and unperturbed. Some fathers needs to visit a psychiatrist. Some fathers are mentally deformed. A father that tells you that a girl does not need to go to school only the boy child is not a father but a feather. Every girl-child needs to go to school. Every girl child should be sent to school to learn. She needs education to survive in a male-dominated society. There are more benefits of educating the girl-child than the boy-child. Have we not heard the saying “Educate a boy you educate the entire individual; educate a girl you educate the entire world? This saying is unanimously accepted. It is indisputable globally.



It is necessary that our girl-child should go to school so that she will overcome domestic violence, sexual abuse, early child marriage, early child birth, violence and discrimination, etc. If you educate your girl child, the whole family is educated.

We were told a story of a young man whose parents trained up to University level fortunately, he graduated and secured a Job in MTN , that pays him handsomely. This same man secured an apartment for his parents, but, later turned around and ordered his own parents. When the mother asked him where did he expect them to go? Guess what this young man told his mother? He said you can go to anywhere you wish, even in the bush, you can leave there. Isn't this appalling? If it is a girl- child that had the opportunity this young man had, she will never turn back against her parents.

Dear parents, never you make the mistake of investing all your resources on your boy child education because he is a boy and leave the girl-child stranded. That boy that you invested so much will disappoint you even disgraces you publicly. Let it be fifty-fifty.

Do not neglect your girl-child because, she is a girl. That girl you neglected will become a doctor, lawyer, engineer, astronaut, neurosurgeon, and lecturer, etc. Do not fail to educate your girl- child. Give her the necessary support she needs to go to school and become productive to the society.

Oh God saves our women and young girls from marrying wrong husbands. A real man does not hit a woman, only cowards do. We are always against any man that raises his hand and beat his wife; such a man should be sent to prison to cool off his temper. Such a man does not deserve to live among human.

So many men are suffering from intellectual stagnancy and brain wave and needs to undergo Psycho analysis. So many men are obviously arrogant and unperturbed. No matter the offense a woman commit, the man has no any audacity, effrontery, impetus to beat her.


Domestic violence against women is increasing every day; so many women have lost their lives. So many women are not enjoying their marriages, yet they are pretending their marriages are okay with them. So many women are suffering and dying in silent as a result of domestic violence. A man will hit his wife at any slightest provocation, this is annoying.

Women should know that not all that glitters are gold. We have always advised women that, before you say “Yes I Do" examine him physically, spiritually, intellectually, mentally, psychologically and otherwise, because so many men are not men but predators. A man that derives joy in beating his wife is no longer a man but a Lucifer. This is unacceptable. We have always advised women that it is better to sabotage a marriage and live than to say until death do you part. Leave to live. Walk away from abusive marriage and stay alive. Claim the legal custody of your children because they need you alive. Do not remain in an abusive marriage to either to endure or pray for him to change. He will never change; he will persist in using you as his punching bag. All hands must be on deck to stop this menace.

have known interest in empowering women and girls. This is the reason I will never cease to show my profound gratitude to the former president of Federal Republic of Nigeria (GCFR) His Excellency Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. I cannot commend him highly enough for his gender-sensitivity during his administration and for appointing 35 percent women in his government. He gave women access to political participation. During his administration, women were ministers, commissioners, deputy governors, ambassadors, advisers, etc. How many percentages of women do we have in APC government?


APC government strongly believed that the women's place is in the kitchen, sitting and other room as President Mohammadu Buhari famously but unfortunately said. The Nigeria Senators on Tuesday march 18th 2016 boldly and happily rejected the bill on gender party in Nigeria. What they simply meant was that all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls should persist. This is a big disappointment. The question I will not fail to ask is this, has women and girls been adequately empowered in APC government? I think the answer is capital NO. Let’s call a spade a spade. Has women been allowed to contribute their quota to the development of the country? How many women are the anti- corruption agencies? How many women are deputy governors? How many women are in ministerial positions? How many women are commissioners, directors? Etc.

There is need for this administration to invest optimally in women and girls or else the change will not and will never happen. A lot of women in this APC government are impoverished. The truth is that, those at the pinnacle of leadership are scared of the strength and the wisdom of women.

the systematic neglect of women in sports in Nigeria is being underappreciated. Unarguably, we need to a believe that the resounding success of Nigeria's sports should be attributed to women. Women have made a tremendous impact and progress to Nigeria's sporting success. What we are trying to emphasize is that, the key to Nigeria's success in sports are the women. We ask why are the women in sports in Nigeria not appreciated like their male counterparts. God did not create women as an afterthought. Then, why does our society consider as an afterthought? Women have brought progress to Nigeria's sports. These women's welfare is not taken into consideration. They are not being paid by sports authorities. This is unfair.

The likes of Mary Onyali , who dominated African sprints from 1987 to 2003, and was a two- time Olympic Bronze medallist Falilat Ogunkoya, who became synonymous with the 400m event and Chioma Ajunlva, who is an unforgettable member of the super Falcon's team to the 1991 World cup , how about Asisat Oshaola has been recognized as Africa's best player by CAF and disnow the highest- paid women's player on the continent. How about Nigeria female Bantamweight Champion, Heken '' Iron Lady'' Joseph. How about the first Nigeria female Olympic boxer, Edit Agu Ogoke.

We are calling on government, corporate bodies, private sectors, financial institutions; etc should take women's sports seriously. The culture of neglecting women in sports has dangerous consequences. These women have sacrificed a lot for their country but end up unappreciated. So many men are living a primitive and uncivilized lives. They believe that it is acceptable for a man to hit his wife and discipline her for any misbehavior. There are husband who enjoys the tears of his wife. Until he makes his wife cry, he is not happy. You know that there are husband like that. Brutal husband.They behave as if they are living with stones, as if the wife is a piece of metal.
We want to use this medium to thank all women who refused to be silent because they are women. Women who reject the status quo. Why this hostility against the women? When would it come to an end? Some men has become devil in human form. We heard a case of a man who pounds his wife to death because of inner dispute that should have been settled amicably.
The truth is that cultural beliefs fuel domestic violence against women. This is a sheer baldash. Such culture need to be abolished, because it is improper for a man to abuse his wife or any woman. We would not relent until women are free from any form of domestic violence. For crying out loud, women are full human beings and not rags. It sounds so sardonic and wicked for a man to hit a woman. It appears that the government is not paying attention to this. No strong bill to prosecute the perpetrators that means that what the government is saying indirectly is that domestic violence against women should continue. But, we are saying No to this. We would not allow it to continue.
Women are our mother wife, daughter, sister, etc. Consequently, they deserve the right to safety. Those men that think that beating a woman will earn them a trophy should have a rethink.

If you cannot empower hundred, empower only one, because when a woman is empowered, the whole world is empowered. No building can stand without a strong foundation or else the building will definitely collapse. The poverty level of a country can only be eradicated by empowering women and girls. Recession, corruption, kidnapping and terrorism will only stop by empowering women and girls. the history and struggle for women's rights began in the 18th century during a period of intense intellectual activity known as the AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT. However, it was not until the 19th century when the denial of equal rights to women attracted protests and drew attention from most activists.

By then, most women were educationally backward and lacked the economic empowerment that would enable them challenge the prevailing order. Hence, women generally accepted their fate. In the 19th century, the governments in Europe and North America began to draft new laws guaranteeing equality among men. In 1913, International women's Day was fixed for 18th march.

It is universally agreed that if the welfare of women are not improved, the economic condition of the country will not improve, because women are the builders and molders of every countries destiny. We believe that women empowerment is necessary for development.

Women are instruments of economic development. Women are a blessing not a course. We must join hands together to make sure that women's rights are fully restored. The problem of restoring the rights of women is not the sole responsibility of the government alone; it is the responsibility of everybody. Let's look at some reasons why so many countries are not matching forward 1. Girl - child Education: so many countries have over looked the education of the girl- child. Whom did God give the power to give birth to the next human being? It was the women; this is clear evidence that women are special and superior. There is something that God knows about women that we mortals don’t know. Remember, nobody can fathom the mystery of God. God believes in the power of women. He (God) blessed women with an incomparable wisdom. God is a mysterious and multi dimensional God. He knows why he gave women power to give birth to the next human being. Women are beautifully and wonderfully made. Women are so special to God. They are the handiwork of God. They are God's idea. They are life giver. They are the life blood of any country.

It sounds so foolish to us to see women as inferior. We must change the status quo. Women are not inferior, they are superior. Treating women as nobody have jeopardized so many families, communities and countries respectively. God never regretted for creating a woman. Without a woman. We wouldn’t hear anything like Jesus. It was a woman that saves the life of Moses. It was women that first saw the resurrection of Jesus. How many women denied Jesus? None! But peter denied Jesus for consecutive three times. That is to tell us that women are reliable.

So many pastors today wouldn’t have succeeded in their ministries without the unyielding support of their wives.

Yes or No? The answer is yes. So many men who would have become great achievers are totally perished because they disregarded the idea of their wives. So many men who should have enjoyed fantastic successes are frustrated because they refused to accept the advice of their wives. The Bible says '' women are helper'' the Bible did not say, women are inferior and slave. Being a helper does not mean being inferior or slave.

Lets begin to treat every woman with respect. Appreciate them. Value their worth and our society will not remain the same.

A Pentecostal pastor reportedly died during an alleged sex romp with a 19-year-old-girl in a hotel room in Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta.

Delta Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, confirmed the incident on Wednesday in Asaba. He said the incident happened on the evening of Sunday, November 19. He revealed that the pastor, who will not be named, had been in a hotel with the girl when he started gasping for breath and the girl raised the alarm thereby alerting hotel workers to the incident. Aniamaka added that the victim’s wife reported the incident to the police that same day.

The police spokesperson said: "The incident happened last Sunday evening. We learnt the pastor took the girl, who is said to be 19 years of age to the hotel room. While they were in the room after some few minutes, the girl reportedly raised alarm which attracted workers in the hotel, who rushed into the room to find the pastor dead. The wife of the pastor was called to the scene of the incident, where he met her husband stone dead. She subsequently reported the matter to the Police Division in Kwale."

Aniamaka said the police have launched an investigation into the incident and an autopsy would be conducted to determine the cause of death.
