A great fan of large quantities of onions 🌰 in beans here.
One large bulb of onion chopped two more to go cheesy
I bought chopping machine but returned it as it wasn't chopping the way I like.

Cooking naija style beans.

2 cups of beans
3 large onions

Where is the beans?

For the soup, I buy peanuts and mill them at the store. On a low medium fry pan, I toast the milled peanuts. The idea is to add some nuttiness to the taste. In a cooking pot, boil the proteins you intend using (most times, I boil the different proteins separately because they require different times to cook and it is not all stocks you use in cooking). While the proteins are boiling and you have toasted the milled peanuts to a reasonable extent, wash your bitter leaf (I use dry bitter leaves so most times, I soak them earlier). Once they are tender to your satisfaction, add a little palm oil and ground pepper. Allow them to boil to prevent the oil from having a funny taste on your tongue when eating. Once the palm oil is cooked, add your peanut and stir properly. If it is too thick, you can add a little stock. Once it starts to cook, you add the bitter leaf reduce the heat and allow it more time for everything to meddle together.

For the pounded yam, peel the yam and add to a pot of boiling water. Allow the yam to cook and transfer into a food processor using the plastic one (I don't know the name it is called but I mean the thing that rotates inside the food processor). Use the dough option and once it is smooth, transfer into a big bowl and use your spatula (turning stick) to ensure it is very smooth. Put your cling film in a deep soup bowl, cut the pounded yam inside, and wrap well.

Thank you

Dear you are a hero

.

My sister, it's not yet over. This journey requires a complete trust in God and walk with God. Don't neglect the spiritual aspect. You are your own prophet. Spend the hours of the night with God. Have quiet time with God. Before any medical procedure , I spend quality time speaking positively. Arm yourself with bible verses. Those verses that says "I am fruitful,I am not barren"

Till date, we still pay visit/support a particular orphanage and take care of some widows.

Then spiritually ask God for help. A simple as it may sound "God help me"

You will have children. Keep trying, you will conceive. Settle the spiritual aspect and medically deal with the root of the Infertility.

Try local herbs. Treat infection completely. What the enemy doesn't know, they can't destroy. Keep your secrets until you can't hide it. When pregnant, double communication with God .

Dear you said if you no you no now , it wouldn't have been hard, before your conceive. Please can you give strength line guide to this pain call ttc please

We treated wrongly. Imagine after many trials, we realised the fault was from me. After hubby's SA came out clean. It was male and female Infertility. We knew after 7 years. Don't also neglect the spiritual aspect .

I forgot to add that, when pregnancy got to 3rd month, cerclage was done.

Run exclusive test and get a good fertility expert.

I changed prayer point. Did a lot of mid night prayers. Attack it medically, emotionally , financially and spiritually.

Trust me, it takes a lot of finance. This journey isn't for the faint hearted.

Thank you ma, my husband did scrotal scan and Hormonal test it all came out normal. He has low sperm count and low motility but morphology is 80%, after 6 weeks of taking supplements and lifestyle changes his motility and count went down, and morphology went down to 1% from 80% under 6 weeks.

It's best to see a urologist. My husband also tool fertile aid for men. He treated infection back to back. It's advisable to test after 3 months of treatment. Some drugs are not compatible. Fh Pro did the magic after infection test came out clean.

Some day, I promise to give back to this thread. I guess the time is here. Waited for 9 years before holding my bundle of joy. Did everything humanly possible. Today, I have 3 kids. To the glory of God.

Diagnosis
Male factor
Female Factor-pcos, rhesus incompatibility and incompetent cervix

Things I did
3 IVF
2 surrogate trials
4 IUI
3 hsg
Countless tvs
Countless hormonal profile
1 hysteroscopy

And for some I can't remember. The journey isn't for the soft hearted. Early Diagnosis is the key and being spiritually strong.

First baby was after the second Ivf
Second baby was after eating okra soup and okra leaf (for ovulation), vitamin e and folic acid
Third baby was after taking cloves and booni(less than 300 naira).

All in all, I give God all the glory. Mind you, my womb was completely written off. Nothing stayed, not even water. Pregnancies dropped after 3/4 months. When God stepped in, everything changed.

The enemy is giving up. Consistent trial. Always cheerful. Avoid anxiety. Then again, EARLY DETECTION.

PRAYERFULLY pick a doctor and medical facility that will walk with u all through. Try everything. Even local herbs.

I never knew I had pcos. Until after seven years. We were busy treating male factor.

I Hope this helps and gives someone hope.

All in All, I had 3 miscarriages. Knowing what I know now, the journey would have been a walk in the park.

Was it not this same UK some ignorant journalists were talking about female genital mutilation, child bride, endemic poverty and outrightly comparing Nigerian human rights records to Nazi Germany all because Nigeria welcomed Harry and Meghan?

I can forgive them for making mistakes, but concealing mistakes that led to and will lead to the death of infected patients is the new low of hegemonic British evil.

Dear Nairalanders, this is the United Kingdom of Atrocities. They are not better than us.

They stole our resources to build their kingdom. They raided the palace of the Oba of Benin, they enable corrupt Nigerian politicians, and they try to denigrate Nigeria. They have added killing their own citizens to their litany of atrocities.

Well said. I can't agree less

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a good sperm bank in Nigeria? I’m considering going to Nigeria due to the high cost and shortage of black sperm in Canada. I went through 2 round of egg retrieval with eggs frozen, but have decided to go this route since I haven’t met the “one”. Does it even exist? lol

I don’t know if it’s even possible to transport my eggs to Nigeria for transfer or start the egg retrieval process over again. I’m sorry if anyone finds this offensive but I’ll prefer a black child. Once again, im sorry cos it’s a sensitive topic.

It's better to start a fresh. Come down to Nigeria. There are a lot of good hospitals. Lagos/Abuja/Port harcourt even warri.

It is reasons like this people go to spiritually-minded churches like MFM, CAC, Zion ministries, etc.
Please if you are reading this, take your spirituality more seriously.
I am not saying you come to church. Even if you have to go to Babalawo or native doctor, just be spiritually minded.
