We all agree that the roads are bad but 99% of road accidents are caused by recklessness of the drivers. In some African countries commercial vehicles are not allowed to go more than 90km/hr and if you are caught the sanctions are hefty. In Nigeria you will be in your car at 120km/hr and a commercial bus will pass you as if you were standing still and when something goes wrong we blame government or the road but never ourselves. May the souls of the departed rest in peace |

Even though I do not support what the governor did in these lean economic times and also the fact that we have cheaper alternatives from Kia and Hyundai respectively but there is need to represent the facts as they are. I attended the last Abuja auto fair that ended on the 4th of November and I was at the Toyota stand the corolla was 8.3 million and the Land cruiser Prado was well over 15 million I can't remember the exact figure while the Land cruiser was 20 million. Those prices quoted by carmundi must be from grey market dealers that offer no after sales support |
It doesn't make sense to build a house in your village where you spend less tthan a month in the whole year while you pay rent where you live. Secondly the house you build in the city will always appreciate in value over time while that of the villa is tying down your Capital. Remember you can always sell your city house to build a mansion for yourself in the village when you retire |

ichiban1:You just made an old man very happy. I salute you guys ![]() |
You didn't say the year/period you think it may have been released....Genre (hip-hop, blues, RnB, rap, etc)....if it was a group or solo artiste....and if the artiste was black or white! That may help narrow the possibilities down a bit!
IGBOSON1:It was between 1990 and 1991 and the song was more popular than the artist. The genere was closer to dance hall/reggae but was a bit slow but something that you could easily sing along to |
pcguru1:The musician was male and the song was a little upbeat and very popular with DJays back in the day |
I have done that nothing comes up. Maybe I have the lyrics all wrong |
25th Anniversary Coming Up Looking For The Song That Started It All by wree91: 11:30pm Hi everyone my 25th wedding anniversary is coming up and I'm looking for the song that started it all for me. I have no idea of the artist that sang it or the name of the song just parts of the lyrics as it captured all the emotions I felt when I fell in love with my wife. I want it to be the song we dance to on our anniversary dinner to celebrate 25 wonderful years together. I hope someone here will remember the song. I was between 1990 and 1991 and went like this I have never been in love before never knew the score till you came my way and I guess you made my day .......you touched something deep inside didn't know what or where....... loving you is all I do ×2 If any one can help I will be forever grateful |

A lady friend of mine just narrated to me what happened to her She was in the waiting room of an office where she went to conduct some business when this guy walked up to her saying that she looked familiar and he believed that they were in camp together. Being a long time my friend couldn't really remember but they exchanged numbers and started talking. He told her he lives in Akure, is widowed and has a daughter. Within a week he introduced her to a lady over the phone claiming to be his mother, saying she lives and works in Asaba. They got talking, with the woman calling her several times a week while the guy was subtly hinting towards a relationship and marriage even though they had only met once and everything has been over the phone. He now called my friend that he is travelling to the UK for a few days and will come to visit her in Abuja when he returns. Some days after his departure his mother called my friend in a state of panic that his daughter had a fall in the bathroom and cracked her skull that the hospital needed 250k to run some tests and was wondering if my friend could help with the money, to which she (my friend) responded that she didn't have that kind of money. The next day the doctor called her saying that the girls condition was serious and required surgery, and then asked if my friend could help raise some money. My friend expressed her concern and promised to support in any way she could, but reiterated that she didn't have money. As it stands both the guy and his supposed mother are no longer answering their phones. I believe they have moved on to the next mark. |
