temmy2210: Aregbe never paid 4 months salary, I am a civil servant in the state, he only paid August 2018 salary.
Ever since the creation of our dear State, no Governor has ever went on air to announce payment of salary to the workers, it is only this Aregbe government that will go to all media houses making noice of fake payment of salary and pension whereas the actual payment has never been made.
So wicked and cruel governor, funny enough he want continuity.... God of heaven and earth shall fight for us. Amen. Sorry to hear this sir. It is well |

Though in infrastructure and Education, he did a bit but the first priority of government to its citizens is provide basic amenities and pay salary when due which he failed woefully in this aspect. |

Bagehot: Facts only, Ambode's tenure has been crap. As a Fashola lover, and private citizen I do not rate Ambode in any form. My number 1 grouse is him eliminating structures that worked perfectly fine cos Fashola championed them. The terrible state of waste management aside, why are the roads looking so shabby? The day I decided that I wont complain about my taxes any more was during Fashola's tenure when I noticed that every time a pot-hole appeared on my route, within a couple of weeks, at night, I would see the public works guys fixing it. Should I mention the Drain Ducks that helped to contain flooding in so many parts of the state - not talking about Lekki now oo. Should I speak of Lagos HOMS that seems to be limping along now? To make the situation more galling, I don't understand how after Fashola, the next governor is one who celebrates building bus-stops and pedestrian bridges! What the hell The only thing I would give Ambode is LRU on 3rs Mainland bridge, otherwise, his performance has been quite shoddy. Hmmm word! I agree with you. |

That route summaries the state of Nigeria. Aside the poor infrastructure observed, the attitude of people driving in that route needs psychological evaluation. I faced hell the last time I drove past that road. Someone enroute from other Africa countries will take a U-turn seeing the deplorable state of the road.
The life span of people living in these area is also another concern. Imagine a 35years looking like Methuselah let alone 60 years old man. |

Shukuakukobambi: On the waste management ish, Ambode truly messed up but if Tinubu is truly trying to push Ambode out, like this, he might have just overreached himself and is due for demystification Sure bro! In life, one can't have it all. If a person has gotten to a point where he thinks without him, nothing must be done, aside being a dictator, he has seen himself as a God, that form of arrogance might lead to his huge downfall. Tinubu should dread carefully! |

The "god fatherism" in Nigeria politics is the reason someone with good intention is forced to join bad gang or be exterminated.
Being greedy is one thing, wickedness is another. These are two evil traits are common among the "baba isales'" dictating the percentage of fund that must be remitted to their purse and they don't bother if the populace are suffering.
Aside the waste management scheme where Ambode failed, he is doing his bit in other sectors. Is it because he is not remitting the required amount which is the reason the party is flagging wrecked looking bull dog to contend against him? |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Economy Rated Best In Africa By Forbes-see Link by wristbangle: 5:11pm On Sep 11, 2018 |
Buterflyle0: This is how you make an analogy
US National Debt - $21 Trillion - Debt to GDP 76% UK National Debt - $2.3 Trillion - Debt to GDP 89% China National Debt - $4.3 Trillion - Debt to GDP 41% Nigeria National Debt - $73 Billion - Debt to GDP 21%
Debt is not the issue. It's what you do with it that's the issue. Question is - If debt is rightly invested in infrastructure (that creates Capital Formation) or human capital (that keeps people alive & develop their skills and mental capacity), we'll be ok. If truth be told, a large Percentage of our National Debt was looted by the previous governments.
The conversation we should be having concerning our National Debt is - Is it sustainable? - What is it invested on? - How much would those investments add to the GDP? - When should we expect these ROI?
This government is committed to infrastructural awakening and is well on the course to achieving this with a time frame in mind after which we begin to get our ROI fast
These are some of the key indices that bring about an economical rating and yes as it stands now, Nigeria is the best economy in africa all thanks to this present Government which remained unwavering in the face of recession and maneuvered the nation out of those murky waters to the place where Forbes could now rate us as they have done.
Kudos to PMB and PYO.
A match made in heaven.
God bless Nigeria Smooth and well grounded analysis. |

Zoning the VP slot to SE would further jeopardize the chances of PDP to win against the ruling party.
They ruminated and understands the geo-political vote metrics hence their reason to sideline SE region from that slot and the preference to pick either SW or SS. They know either of these two regions would still give them block of votes needed to compete. |
