Dalil8:
Op why would you even advise guys to marry a feminist?

Feminists are meant to be left alone, don't ever consider dating one. Just leave them to their loneliness, let them have their fill of feminism.

I won't advise my enemy to date one.
True. My ex is a feminist and it was a bitter experience. Worst 7 months of my life.

On that day, the kid bumped into the wrong officer.

I read somewhere that the policeman behind the shooting was in the military before he left to join the police. In other words, he is a veteran.

So, you can say that he brought the military style into police work. You make any mistakes around me, I'll shoot first, then ask questions later.

Wouldn't be surprised if the officer served in Afghanistan or I-raq. sad
You're correct. Some of them suffer from severe PTSD and find it hard to reintegrate into the society. They should be retired and banned from taking any public law enforcement job.

Only God knows the kind of atrocities committed by these U.S soldiers in Iraq/Afghanistan.

I actually live in Qatar and I'm in Qatar currently as I type this. Qatar isn't building just for the world cup. They have a vision 2030 which is basically about transforming Qatar into an international city.
They hope to host many events in the coming years and decades.
Currently they have won the rights to host Asian games in 2030. They host many grand Prix events. They host tennis opens, and they hope to host the Olympics.

Back to our initial argument. You have just echoed what I said earlier. Olympics is the biggest event on earth and the reason is obvious
I know about Qatar's 2030 plans, that's a different scenario entirely. But the ongoing project which includes stadium's, airports, new cities, rail stations are specifically for the world cup. And it began in 2010, the moment they won the rights to host the 2022 world cup.

the link you sent to me clearly showed that about 3.2 billion people watched the world cup worldwide while 3.5 billion watched the Olympics.

But let's even forget about the link. Common sense would tell you that simply because there are more sports played in Olympics, there would be more audience. People in India would want to watch Olympics more because they have never been to any recent world cup...that's a potential 1.4 billion audiences more for Olympics
Yes because it's a combination of every sport on earth including football, so what do you expect? But the World Cup is just one sport and it's more anticipated and prepared for. Look at qatar building new cities, shopping malls, airports, train stations just because of one event. They even installed cooling systems throughout the host cities.

Don't compare both please. Remove football from the Olympics and you'll have roughly just 1.2 billion viewers.

Eight people were killed in a mass shooting at an Indianapolis FedEx facility on Thursday night, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Genae Cook said.

Authorities were aware of multiple other injured victims in hospitals, one of whom was in critical condition, she said during a media briefing early Friday.

Police believe the shooter took his own life and there is "no active threat to the community at this time," Cook said.

It is unclear what motivated the shooting, but investigations are ongoing and will continue into most of the day Friday, she said.

Police arrived at the scene of the shooting at around 11:00 p.m. local time to an active-shooter situation and entered the facility without hesitation, Cook said.

"The officers responded, they came in, they went in and they did their job," Cook said. A lot of them are trying to face this because this is a sight no one should ever have to see."

Two employees inside the building at the time told CNN affiliate WISH-TV that they heard as many as ten gunshots.

At first Jeremiah Miller and Timothy Boillat thought the sound was from a car, but after hearing more, Miller stood up and saw a man with a weapon, he said.

"After hearing the shootings I did see a body on the floor behind a vehicle," said Boillat. The two men left the building and watched as about 30 police cars responded, Boillat said.

"Thank God for being here because I thought I was going to get shot," Miller told the station.

Police are asking anyone who was at the scene and may have left for safety or for medical treatment to contact 262-TIPS or the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police homicide officer to provide information on the shooting.
In a statement, FedEx said it was aware of the "tragic shooting" at the Indianapolis facility.

"Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with all those who are affected. We are working to gather more information and are cooperating with investigating authorities," company spokesperson Jim Masilak said in an email to CNN.

Indiana Congressman Andre Carson who represents the 7th District of Indiana, including Indianapolis, tweeted that he was heartbroken by the mass shooting.

"I am communicating with local authorities to get all details of the attack and my office stands ready to help everyone affected any way we can."

Adam Toledo, the 13-year-old boy shot by Chicago police.

Disturbing bodycam footage released by Chicago police shows the moment a city cop shot and killed 13-year-old Adam Toledo last month — with the officer identified for the first time as Eric Stillman.

“Police, stop, stop right f—-g now,” Stillman is heard saying as he chased the teen down an alley. “Hands. Show me your f—-g hands.”

“Drop it, drop it,” the 34-year-old cop yells, before Toledo is seen turning around and the cop fires a single shot.

The seventh-grader, who appears to be raising his hands a split second before he was shot, is then seen collapsing onto the ground.

“Shots fired, shots fired,” the cop radios in.

“You alright?”
he asks the teen, who is splattered with blood. “Where you shot?”

Prosecutors had said Toledo had a gun in his right hand when he turned around - but admitted on Thursday that the attorney who made that claim had “failed to fully inform himself,” a local CBS affiliate reported.

Police in the Windy City maintain the boy had a gun right before he turned, and that a weapon was found nearby afterwards. They had previously described the fatal encounter as an “armed confrontation.”

The graphic footage was released by the city’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability.

Chicago police released bodycam footage of the fatal shooting of 13-year-old Adam Toledo on March 29, 2021.

The shooting happened March 29 after cops responded to reports of shots fired in the West Side neighborhood.

“Hi, I just heard gunshots,” one 911 caller told the dispatcher, according to audio recordings of the call.

“How many shots did you hear?” the dispatcher responds.

“It sounded like a lot, like, a lot,” the caller said. “More than 5.”

Police said the teenager and 21-year-old Ruben Roman ran from cops at the scene, with the officers giving chase.

Stillman’s bodycam footage shows him arriving at the scene and giving chase, running past Roman, who falls to the ground and is handcuffed and taken into custody by another officer.

He then shoots the teenager, who is wearing a “Just Do It’ sweater and is seen still breathing but covered in blood.

“Need an ambulance got a gunshot victim,” Stillman radios in. “Shots fired by the police.”

The officers then start trying to resuscitate Toledo.

“I’m going to start CPR, I’m not feeling a heartbeat,” one of the cops says. “Get an ambulance.”

Officers on the scene spent several minutes trying to revive the teenager, but he was pronounced dead.

The officers were reassigned to administrative duty after the shooting, officials said.

A photo of a gun police say was recovered from the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Chicago that left 13-year-old Adam Toledo dead.

At a press conference earlier on Thursday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot had described the video as “incredibly difficult to watch.”

“As more and more people see this footage, I want to ask again that everyone tuning in thik first about Adam Toledo,” the mayor said. “No parent should ever have a video broadcast widely of their child’s last moments.”

In a joint statement earlier in the day, Lightfoot and lawyers for Toledo’s family said the release of the footage was “the first step in the process toward the healing of the family.”

Whoa....3bn dollars. That's a lot. Hopefully, they make it back during the world cup.
Sure they will, the 2022 FIFA World Cup would generate as much as $10 billion in revenue for Qatar, with more than 4 billion viewers worldwide. They built new cities, malls, stadiums, rail stations, airports because of the world cup.

They've been preparing for it since 2010. It's a big honor for a country to be chosen to host the world cup. It's the largest event in history.

President Joe Biden on Wednesday formally announced his decision to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan before September 11, the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon that led the US into its longest war.

"We cannot continue the cycle of extending or expanding our military presence in Afghanistan hoping to create the ideal conditions for our withdrawal, expecting a different result," Biden said.

"I am now the fourth American president to preside over an American troop presence in Afghanistan. Two Republicans. Two Democrats," he added. "I will not pass this responsibility to a fifth."

In a sign he views his remarks as a historic bookend to the prolonged conflict, he delivered them from precisely the same spot in the White House Treaty Room that President George W. Bush announced the start of the war on October 7, 2001.

https://static01.nyt.com/images/2019/03/01/us/01dc-troops-1-print/00dc-troops-jumbo.jpg?quality=90&auto=webp

Afterward he'll visit the section of Arlington National Cemetery where many of America's war dead from Afghanistan are buried.

Biden will say that American diplomatic and humanitarian efforts will continue in Afghanistan and would support peace efforts between the Afghan government and the Taliban. But he'll be unequivocal that two decades after it began, the Afghanistan war is ending.

"It is time to end America's longest war. It is time for American troops to come home," he said.

https://i0.wp.com/www.nationalreview.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/us-troops-afghanistan-2019.jpg?resize=789%2C460&ssl=1

Biden said the withdrawal will begin on May 1, in line with an agreement President Donald Trump's administration made with the Taliban. He said the complete withdrawal will be done by September 11.

The deadline Biden has set is absolute, with no potential for extension based on worsening conditions on the ground. Officials said after two decades of war, it was clear to the President that throwing more time and money at Afghanistan's problems wasn't going to work.

"This is not conditions-based," a senior administration official heavily involved in the deliberations said on Tuesday. "The President has judged that a conditions-based approach, which has been the approach of the past two decades, is a recipe for staying in Afghanistan forever."

Some US troops will remain to protect American diplomats, though officials declined to provide a precise number.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said Wednesday he spoke to Biden and that he "respects the US decision."

"Afghanistan's proud security and defense forces are fully capable of defending its people and country, which they have been doing all along, and for which the Afghan nation will forever remain grateful," Ghani said on Twitter.

Nigeria now has only three billionaires on 2021 Forbes list of world billionaires, with the dropping off of Executive Vice Chairman of Famfa Oil Limited, Folorunso Alakija.

This is the second time in a row she is dropping off the list.

Released on Tuesday, the new list has Aliko Dangote, chairman of Dangote group; Mike Adenuga, chairman of Globacom; and Abulsamad Rabiu, chairman of BUA group.

In 2019, Alakija made the Forbes list of world billionaires and was ranked 1941 in a list of 2,153 billionaires; with a net worth of $1.1 billion. The oil tycoon dropped off the global billionaires’ list in 2020, although she still emerged as 20th richest African billionaire in 2020.

Forbes said Alakija’s fortune dropped below $1 billion due to lower oil prices because she is mainly into oil exploration.

Dangote retained the top spot of Africa’s richest person with a net worth of $11.5 billion, making him the 191st wealthiest person in the world.

He owns 85% of publicly-traded Dangote Cement through a holding company, and has shares in publicly-traded salt and sugar manufacturing companies.

Adenuga, Nigeria’s second richest man, was ranked 440th richest in the world with a net worth of $6.1 billion, up from $5.6bn in 2020.

Rabiu emerged as 574th richest person in the world with an estimated fortune of $4.9 billion. He also maintains the position of sixth wealthiest person in Africa.

Despite the worldwide economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak, Forbes said an additional 660 individuals were added to its 2021 billionaires list.

“It’s been a year like no other, and we aren’t talking about the pandemic. There were rapid-fire public offerings, surging cryptocurrencies and skyrocketing stock prices,” Forbes said.

“The number of billionaires on Forbes’ 35th annual list of the world’s wealthiest exploded to an unprecedented 2,755, 660 more than a year ago.

“Of those, a record high 493 were new to the list–roughly one every 17 hours, including 210 from China and Hong Kong. Another 250 who’d fallen off in the past came roaring back. A staggering 86% are richer than a year ago.”

Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, remains the world’s richest man for the fourth straight year with an estimated worth of $177 billion, followed by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla in second place with $151 billion.

Altogether, the 2,755 billionaires on Forbes list are worth $13.1 trillion, up from $8 trillion in 2020.

The United States of America has the highest number of 724 billionaires, followed by China (including Hong Kong and Macao) with 698.

Forbes said it used stock prices and exchange rates from March 5 to calculate net worth.
