selemempe:I know about Qatar's 2030 plans, that's a different scenario entirely. But the ongoing project which includes stadium's, airports, new cities, rail stations are specifically for the world cup. And it began in 2010, the moment they won the rights to host the 2022 world cup. |
selemempe:Yes because it's a combination of every sport on earth including football, so what do you expect? But the World Cup is just one sport and it's more anticipated and prepared for. Look at qatar building new cities, shopping malls, airports, train stations just because of one event. They even installed cooling systems throughout the host cities. Don't compare both please. Remove football from the Olympics and you'll have roughly just 1.2 billion viewers. |
selemempe:Wrong ❌ In terms of global audience. World Cup is bigger. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IGt9WrFr5Y Watch Video https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2021/04/adam-toledo-01-1.jpg?quality=80&strip=all&w=1024 Adam Toledo, the 13-year-old boy shot by Chicago police. Disturbing bodycam footage released by Chicago police shows the moment a city cop shot and killed 13-year-old Adam Toledo last month — with the officer identified for the first time as Eric Stillman. “Police, stop, stop right f—-g now,” Stillman is heard saying as he chased the teen down an alley. “Hands. Show me your f—-g hands.” “Drop it, drop it,” the 34-year-old cop yells, before Toledo is seen turning around and the cop fires a single shot. The seventh-grader, who appears to be raising his hands a split second before he was shot, is then seen collapsing onto the ground. “Shots fired, shots fired,” the cop radios in. “You alright?” he asks the teen, who is splattered with blood. “Where you shot?” Prosecutors had said Toledo had a gun in his right hand when he turned around - but admitted on Thursday that the attorney who made that claim had “failed to fully inform himself,” a local CBS affiliate reported. Police in the Windy City maintain the boy had a gun right before he turned, and that a weapon was found nearby afterwards. They had previously described the fatal encounter as an “armed confrontation.” The graphic footage was released by the city’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability. https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2021/04/ChicagoPD.jpg?quality=80&strip=all&w=1024 Chicago police released bodycam footage of the fatal shooting of 13-year-old Adam Toledo on March 29, 2021. The shooting happened March 29 after cops responded to reports of shots fired in the West Side neighborhood. “Hi, I just heard gunshots,” one 911 caller told the dispatcher, according to audio recordings of the call. “How many shots did you hear?” the dispatcher responds. “It sounded like a lot, like, a lot,” the caller said. “More than 5.” Police said the teenager and 21-year-old Ruben Roman ran from cops at the scene, with the officers giving chase. Stillman’s bodycam footage shows him arriving at the scene and giving chase, running past Roman, who falls to the ground and is handcuffed and taken into custody by another officer. He then shoots the teenager, who is wearing a “Just Do It’ sweater and is seen still breathing but covered in blood. “Need an ambulance got a gunshot victim,” Stillman radios in. “Shots fired by the police.” The officers then start trying to resuscitate Toledo. “I’m going to start CPR, I’m not feeling a heartbeat,” one of the cops says. “Get an ambulance.” Officers on the scene spent several minutes trying to revive the teenager, but he was pronounced dead. The officers were reassigned to administrative duty after the shooting, officials said. https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2021/04/adam-toledo-02-1.jpg?quality=80&strip=all&w=1024 A photo of a gun police say was recovered from the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Chicago that left 13-year-old Adam Toledo dead. At a press conference earlier on Thursday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot had described the video as “incredibly difficult to watch.” “As more and more people see this footage, I want to ask again that everyone tuning in thik first about Adam Toledo,” the mayor said. “No parent should ever have a video broadcast widely of their child’s last moments.” In a joint statement earlier in the day, Lightfoot and lawyers for Toledo’s family said the release of the footage was “the first step in the process toward the healing of the family.” CNN New York PostCc Lalasticlala Mynd44 Seun

BigDawsNet:Thanks. Do you know more? |
Aflix:Sure they will, the 2022 FIFA World Cup would generate as much as $10 billion in revenue for Qatar, with more than 4 billion viewers worldwide. They built new cities, malls, stadiums, rail stations, airports because of the world cup. They've been preparing for it since 2010. It's a big honor for a country to be chosen to host the world cup. It's the largest event in history. |

[Sorin Furcoi/Al Jazeera] Lusail, Qatar - With a capacity of 80,000, Lusail Stadium will be the biggest tournament venue for the 2022 World Cup that takes place in Qatar from November next year. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/3.jpg?fit=1170%2C780 According to tournament organisers, the stadium’s concrete works, steel superstructure installation and the roof big lift have been completed. [Sorin Furcoi/Al Jazeera] The stadium which cost $3 billion, will be one of eight venues for the tournament and will host a total of 10 matches, including the final and matches during every stage of the event. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/4.jpg?fit=1170%2C780 The stadium entrances, interior finishes and progress in concourses, skyboxes and lounges are nearing completion, as are the mechanical, engineering, plumbing and finishing works. [Sorin Furcoi/Al Jazeera] Tournament organisers told Al Jazeera the stadium is set for completion “by the end of 2021”, adding its “concrete works, steel superstructure installation and the roof big lift have been completed”. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/5.jpg?fit=1170%2C780 The construction site is said to conserve 40 percent more freshwater than conventional stadium developments. [Sorin Furcoi/Al Jazeera] https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/6.jpg?fit=1170%2C780 Qatar's treatment of its migrant workers has been under the spotlight ever since it was awarded hosting rights in 2010. Tournament organisers have said: "Compliance with ... all relevant Qatari laws will be a prerequisite to the selection and retention by the SC of its contractors and sub-contractors." [Sorin Furcoi/Al Jazeera] “The venue’s turf was planted in the precinct’s turf farm in August 2020, with inspections indicating good growth progress and overall health.” The stadium’s design is inspired by the interplay of light and shadow that characterises the “fanar” lantern. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/1-1.jpg?resize=1170%2C780 Lusail Stadium's ongoing secondary steel bracings going up, Lusail, Qatar. [Sorin Furcoi/Al Jazeera] Some installations will be removed from the stadium “to make way for these new amenities”, according to a stadium factsheet produced by Qatar 2022 organisers. The tournament will be played in November and December next year to avoid Qatar’s summer heat, where temperatures often go past 40C (104F) during the day. https://www.aljazeera.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/12.jpg?fit=1170%2C780 The stadium - one of the eight venues for the tournament - will host 10 matches, including the final and games during every stage of the event.
