My point is you almost always have to put in the time to output xyz money. As a phone repairer, while some may be a challenge, there are others that more or less are pretty easy to troubleshoot. You will be amaze how people don't know how resourceful YouTube videos are for minor phone issues that aren't technical.. Ignorance is at it highest even in the information era that we are in. They say in order to gain experience in civil engineering, you must learn to sell yourself off as a slave. Basically going from site to site doing free labor under the sun to acquire the much eulogized experience.
Also be prepared to receive insults and yelling from resident engineers.
Right now na just name wey civil engineering get for this country.
That course seems like the fastest way into a life of hardship and extreme stress.
Why not grow in your current place of work, unless of course you’re one of those engineers that relish the stress and hardship.

Even I, after almost 10years still actively live in denial, though less and less with each new skill I acquire.
It is difficult and even painful to outrightly come to terms that your engineering degree ends with you having a piece of paper( cert) and just that. My first 4yrs post nysc was without form and void .
I once worked in a site as advised by a builder whom I thought was an engineer prior to my site visit... Long story short, I didn't go again!! I didn't have to become a manual labourer to learn my craft, a professional discipline for that matter. I don't even have to recount my visit to the restroom that night and not being able to stand up as a result of the resulting body ache. I just couldn't stand up. Manual Labour has levels guys.

So several weeks later, I brainstormed on what I could do or learn that will get me in front of civil engineers or learned builders; and not "those" by road side. Electrical was the fastest answer to me. And that was where and when the journey started. So I started as an apprentice.. Learnt the basics, YouTube was tremendously helpful. Got the skill but still felt very very small cos my degree was on a pedestal and would always be mentally mocking my new small niche skill but at least I could now cut my hair,subscribe and saved li2 up to #15000!!!! and most importantly I solved one problem and then another and another!!! I still remember my first paid service, it was #300.. Guys, that brought tears to my eyes... my boss- had told me to go with a customer.. Ohhh , someone even believed in me!?.. Do you know my boss(oga) cannot read nor write. I was doing the bank stuffs for him.. Buh he would handle bungalow , duplexes etc electricals as a pro.

I am not saying I am doing very great now but I know i am far from where I used to be.

By the Grace of God. Some people know me as an electrician; to some, I am a building AC technician and most recently, others are beginning to know me as a dstv installer. I also trained as a solar tech in 2019...but I think jobs on solar works purely come on recommendations, as millions are involved, few jobs maybe come if you have a physical office..

So now I am a freelance Technician/electrician

I don't feel li2 again in the face of my dormant civil engineering degree. In fact, in more ways than one, I believe it has helped me contend with myself to output a better version of myself.. The engineering profession is loosely an inductorination. The critical thinking and problem solving skills you are bathed in, in the course of learning do not leave you. Those will help you in any area of INTEREST you go into.

If you put your mind to practicing, you will find the strength to endure the process.

Well, I finally message the law firm of having accepted his offer ( after ghosting him for 3 days.. guy man kept mute for hours) common l love the name na nor come dey psych me ontop, i sharpaly inform another law firm of having accepted his colleague offer buh for unknown reason hasn't bought it so they can take advantage of it. Bros later joined in the mind games offering only half the amount. I then msg the previous law firm to ask if he was reconsidering bla bla bla and gave him enough time to decide on the Domain ( Til Monday ) to which he immediately replied: "that is a considerable amount of time". . I checked today, being Sunday, the Domain was just still sleeping on dan. I just went straight to Dynadot change the nameservers to sedo without listing it there so the landing page wouldn't open for a frame of hours. It was only a matter of hours before I got his message of being ready to buy. Now sold. Glad he is the one who still bought it though. .
I hope those of us who are yet to make a sale are lucky enough to get hold of good names.
