if that fails, port to cwm for p3 (curtesy Baddest-modz)then wipe data/factory reset, then reboot

Zface: @xander, I've tried anoda sdcard and it works. wat happen was dat I tried deletin d partition and re-partition then mptools malfunction. dat was wat I see last. I've tried d card on anoda system n d card na follow come tecno 8gig

no cache or swap?
backup your sd card data and use cwm to partition it as follows:
256 for linuxswap
1024 for ext (its ext4, but cwm call it ext, so note)
when ur done copy back ur data and run memory info again

My suggest goes this, instead of releasing different custom rom everytime with side effects here and there why not focus on one ROM and then release different version of it, each release fixes some bugs or added fixtures.

Please note:i know with the internal memory ehancement in alpha-splash roms ..users now have access to install as many apps as the dim fit. However, do not install just any app you find on googleplay...some have bugs which tamper with the rom scripts.
If your having issues downloading from google- play.....uninstall any recently unstalled apps, start a new download, while its pending use quick boot to restart your phone.

Bro...your card wat size is it? Large sd cards, if not original r prone to faults. First, Try a working sdcard of another fone on ur n3. If it works, try deleting all partitions using mp tool, dont format the card, place it like dat inyou n3..n see if it sees it. Feedback

Quick check:
unzip the "aurora_2.7z" package and place the files in a convinent place on your desktop.

The package you downloaded is named "aurora_2.7z", and it should contain the following:
1. Alpha_swift.zip

*Backup your current ROM using CWM
*wipe data/factory reset.
*go to advanced and wipe Dalvik-cache
*go to install zip from SD-card
*choose file from SD card
*select the Alpha_swift.zip

*wait for installation to complete.

*go to advanced and wipe Dalvik-cache
*reboot android

Initial boot takes a while so be patient...

Sorry to hear that. Two things that run android device batteries down are: the radio/modem and the processor clock...in home screen click menu, add, widget. Select overclock widget. This should place an icon on the home screen.
Select the overclockwidget icon. Set maximum clock to 420mhz. Click set-now. Try charging ur phone this time WITHOUT USING IT, ok? Let's have feedback if this helps

in my opinion:
Firstly: Tecno n3 is a Qualcomm SNAPDRAGON S1 MTD (memory technology device) i.e makes use of separate/independent partitions for the system, recovery, boot, modem/radio (very vital and gives hiccups), efs (ime, esn & co), OEM ( Qualcomm software) all residing on a single EMMC or embedded media card or ROM only being linked by lines of code; That being said, removing/editing/replacing files on one partition do necessarily do not affect the others. e.g. deliberately flash a wrong file into your "boot" the Tecno n3 still gets into recovery. To make it simple just imagine a desktop with a partitioned HDD

Secondly: It isn't so easy as one would think . the simplicity of the process achieved by the effort of countless developers who in the past, dedicated their time and energies, at the expense of many a thing,to design the application layer (AIO User Interface) which you and I can see. Hitherto, developer had to make use of the unfriendly software layer (command line) to achieve anything.

Finally, Saying the flashing process on other platforms (e.g MOTO, ZTE, SAMSUNG)pose more challenges is an over-sight.
For instance, the cyanogen mod team (the great), for years, have been dedicated to developing easier, user friendly apps/installers for all the big vendors in the android-tree(MOTO, SGH), and believe me when I say there are lots of smaller app-dev firms (eg ClockWorkMod and Team Win Recovery Project)under-ground developing for the smaller branches (e.g. Huawie, ZTE & co). recently, (as reported xda-developers.com) Cyanogen have an ongoing contract with Samsung to fully-customize their Galaxy S4 OS.

Hence, where does the growing seedling, the likes of Tecno, and Coolpad come in?
well, it only makes one appreciate the work of devs such as can be found here on this thread.

keypoint29: pls ooo.....if you are usin aurora and ur downloading heavy files with ur browser,i beg u,refer me to the browser pls,i cnt download heavy files again since i ported aurora!!!

use either Dolphin-HD, or maxthon (both available on play-store)if your having challenges with uc-browser. also try downloading Turbo download manager(available on play-store). if it persists, reflash but dont use memory tweak as ur sd-card may have a read-ahead speed limit, which posses a challenge to the Android VM.

Otobibaba: To all gurus i need help.. After i got to the nandroid backup creation, i opened d aio flasher, clicked backup/restore tab. when i then clicked 'install yaff2img', it keeps writing 'ERROR: DEVICE NOT FOUND'. Pls guide me on what i have missed.. Ps: i've already enabled USB debugging

ur phone must be on and with usb debugging mode enabled before clicking "install yaffs2img"

firstly, which biuld of Ginger-bean (assuming not stock rom)r u running?
ginger-bean final and above have an inbiuld memory expansion script which conflicts with the third party app scripting.

try uninstalling any memory expansion app ur currently running eg: swapper, ram expander etc.
then restart android.
then, try the USB mount again.
don't forget to give feedback

Reason for this is the Speed-lag variation occurring in SD-cards
Back up app with titanium backup pro(read aurora tutorial for guide)
Boot to recovery and wipe data and cache
Reboot phone
Mount SD-ext(read aurora tutorial for guide)
Restore apps using titanium backup pro
Do not apply internal memory fix...(not working due to ur memory card speed)
restart phone.
NOTE: if ur internal memory begins to fill up just move any user app(s) data to SD-card using Titanium backup pro. how? go to batch-action, and under move/integrate menu select RUN button beside move user apps+data to the SD-card, in the next menu check exclude system APKs and un-check any system apps, such as Google play services, launcher etc
select RUN
Wait for process to finish then restart phone.
Repeat this process like once in a while after installing many apps and internal memory or lagging should be a thing of the past.
This process can be used by others having a similar issue.
Don't forget to give feedback..ok

on home screen add the overclock widget shortcut
click on the short cut to launch the app
when ur chatting or just browsing or not using phone at all set maximum clock at 420mhz 480mhz, leave minimum clock as it is.
when gaming, or running HD videos, set minimum clock on 600mhz, and maximum clock on 1008mhz
remember to give SU rights to the overclock widget else it wont work
NOTE: never set either max or min clock below 320mhz, else your android will not boot o!

Truth is your internal memory issue is solvable (big-ups to dev-eleghe (phenomenal scripter), blakstar the fearless, and co)
just post the current status, of ur phone as below:
rooted?:yes/no
custom rom?:yes/no
ext2 partition on sdcard?: yes/no
have a desktop/laptop?: yes/no

Abeytown: PES 2012 runs smoothly on AURORA, no lags on a phone with 112 apps.

having cruised AURORA for over 24 hours, i have the following observations: 1. GPS doesn't turn on (Question: Is it only me or was it supposed to be part of the changelog?) 2. Security Lock features not usable (PIN, Pattern, Password not stored @ all) 3. Change of Data SIM to SIM 2 hasn't worked for me!

Note, this doesn't in any way change my acknowledgement of the great job done. Reactions please!


All u claimed was not working are working perfectly on my phone. The data changes at will the security pin and pattern work perfect. Guess its selective

Also, I want to also say the success of Gingerbean Aurora couldnt have seen the limelight with out the sacrifice on the part of our able team of devs,beta testers; the likes of,encouraging' Yehmy,dogged' blakstar, emme, wale-santos, and the list goes on, they know themselves.
