Bevista: GMB was addressing NASS members during their induction course, where he mentioned 8 challenges that his administration will face on assumption of office. These include Falling oil prices, Insecurity, Youth Unemployment, Power, De-industrialization, Environmental Pollution in ND, Rebuilding of ravaged NE, etc.
Typically, though, the media has singled out Falling Oil Price so as to create a sensational headline. Baba is not making any excuses, he was simply being pragmatic and calling on the Legislature to join/support the Executive as developmental partners to tackle these 8 challenges.
Stop commenting based on headlines, please always read the body of the article. It's good to be objective. When Mrs Okonjo-Iwuala made statements along this line about the economy, she was abused and ridiculed by your like minds. Don't spin this to look good/right. |

sleekymag: Well I would say instead of selling of 25% of its stake and keep just 30%, why not sell off 15% and retain 40%? This way the FG would raise $45 billion which equates to N8.94 trillion or 60% of the said N14.9 trillion. This way, and with prudent application of the resources, infrastructural development projects can still be carried out, the new stake owners, should have local stakes (also with state govts of the regions), and petroleum tax can still be raised like Emefiele suggested. It's a win-win situation both for the short term and long term IMHO. I've read your comment. Let me present this scenerio: If your company is in Joint Venture partnership of (60-40)% equity ratio with the other company, what will you do as regards Board Resolutions? How will your company respect their interest as regards M.O.U? |
Politics › Re: Godwin Emefiele Tells Buhari To Sell Off Nigeria's Oil Stakes by Xano(m): 1:13pm On Apr 24, 2015 |
What?! With all due respect to you sir, zip it. What kind of advice is this? Russia, Saudi and Brazilian state oil companies have a large stake in their own oil Joint Ventures with multinational companies. The companies NNPC are in Joint Venture partnerships with are beasts to be left in control of the large % of Board resolutions. Even selling the % to conglumerate companies is very risky, because they will be interested in the revenue(dividend) than Nigeria's development. |

oneeast: Premium Times and Sahara Reporters are the media arms of APC just like the Boko Haram organization is equally their terror arm..
Now they have used their terror arm to seize power by making GEJ's administration look bad. Now they have succeeded we no longer hear of bomb blast. They have rolled out their media arm to attack those states where their terror group cannot reach, so that they can work on the people's psyche by portraying those states won by PDP as a sham election, which deserves to be cancelled.
Nigeria is headed for something worse if this in-coming terror veiled administration is not checked and nipped in the bud. Very true. We have to enlighten people on media houses which are APC. We also need to counter their lies with the truth, both on social media and on the streets. It's unfortunate we have an ex-military dictator and semi-illiterate as President and ex-militants as State House of Assembly lawmakers. |

anwo247: Many jail mongers will be shocked that in democracy, it is still innocent until proven guilty. If NNPC is probed for years it has been in operation, even OBJ, Buhari himself and all the past leaders will go to jail, mind you.
Tinubu will have a new wife in kirikiri for the offence against lagosians and their money.
I am waiting to see how GMB will fight corruption whereas he was enthroned through corruption:-
* campaign funded with Stolen money * underage voters * lies in campaign, some already falling out. * above the law attitude * hypocrisy of the highest order Etc Some investigations will not be done because of the people who will be affected. There are political networks in Nigeria. They all meet at various points. People shout corruption, I laugh. To fight it(corruption), the whole network needs to go. This tenure may be more like spinning stories to show as if something is happening, its all spin. |

None of dem bot it 2 fix our power problem but just 2 crumble dem & promote d sales of Milkano, a product dey all have major stake in. Now tell me why GMB will not revoke dis licenses.

ojdollars: I was doing some research about a whole different topic; Nigeria Steel. When I ran into these article on Vanguard with caption: Marital Infidelity: Are Nigerian women truely the most unfaithful? , this comment by one user, My Mumu Country captured my attention. So I decided to share these with the house to know what everyone thinks about the user's comment below, make we move away from politics small.
My Mumu Country • a month ago Nigerian women are the most unfaithful women in the world. Go to University campuses and see how young girls sell their body for sex. An average teenage Nigerian girl can have ten to twenty boyfriends and sugar daddies. They have one for school fees, one for taking care of hairstyle, one for usual pocket money, one for recharge card phones and latest gadgets, one for paying hostel room fees, one for taking them on vacations, one for shopping on latest wears in vogue and one for general purpose need. They called these boyfriends or Sugar Daddies "Muggus" or "Mgbada". That is "Foolish Ones" or "Cheap Antelope meat". A Nigerian girl can marry a husband twice her father's age due to ulterior motive. If you want to know how bad Nigeria women are, dare take her overseas and specially USA. The divorce rate in America is 35% but 55% among Nigerian married spouse. Once they use their husband's citizen statue to come into USA as an immigrant or "green Card" holder, then the game sets in. They will start quoting "American Laws" as if it was taught to them in Nigerian primary and secondary schools.
The deceitful and unscrupulous ones will start running faster than their shadow in America. On arrival, they use their spouse financial well-being to obtain education specially in the Nursing field, once they secure a good paying job, insubordination in marital affairs kicks in. They start trumping up flimsy excuses to divorce their spouse. Most times, they start keeping opposite sex friends outside marriage and start depriving their husband the natural need of life.(The guys know what I mean). For any slightest of provocation, they will call the law enforcement to arrest their husband. The statue of liberty"American MamaWater" or "Evil Marmaid" donated by France gives freedom of immunity to women and children in the USA.
That woman carrying a torch in one hand and situated in Staten Island was donated by France to corrupt USA. It gives women the torch of Freedom but some women turn the freedom to "Free-Doom". Most ungodly women use it as an advantage against their husband when it comes to marital differences. Most of them want divorce because they have found third party, or want to live a single lifestyle due to promiscuous life-style. It does not matter how many children they have in that marriage. In USA, Igbo women divorce their husband more than any tribe. About seventeen Nigerians have killed their female/wives after been driven to temporary insanity. They say "Temporary Insanity" but the best thing is to walk away from the house and move on with a new life once these women start their "abracadabra" in marriage. Some men try fighting back but end up been the loser. Their financial earning garnished from paying monthly child support and rendered homeless in America. 70% of American men are in jail due to problems with their wives or girlfriends. Yeye de smell for America.
Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/marital-infidelity-are-nigerian-women-truely-the-most-unfaithful/ the story on U.S. about nursing is true. It also happens in UK, Spain, Italy, South Africa, among other European countries. Faithful men and women are rare these days. |

daimsy: nigerian women are truly the most faithful women in the world. lady, outside Nigeria, rarely. I believe you've heard from people. You know men choose to marry in Nigeria or UAE(Dubai) rather than U.S, Uk or any european country. Its because of their marital laws. |
