Many are familiar with the biblical account of John the baptist who was a forerunner for Jesus christ the messiah and savior whom the Jews had waited for all their lives to come and reedem them from bondage. Although many thought and mistook John to be the messiah himself, he wasn't but was only a tool in anouncing and bringing forth Jesus the messiah to the Jews and people of the world at large. Many expected Jesus to come with horses and chariots, swords and amours, spears and shields but found it difficult to comprehend the messiah as he was humble and gentle, meek and patient, caring and forgiving. Hence, a majority of people, even his own people the Jews he came to save ignored, rejected and disowned him due to their expectations being cut short. I love the Nigeria of today where the citizens at the comfort of their homes can ask questions through the Internet or direct channels and get responses from big and mighty cooperations, organizations as well as individuals and those in government. We had cases where the public cried over the 20 billion missing funds from NNPC accounts and we saw the minister of petroleum and finance scrabbling to answer the public on this. We had another case of the missing chibok girls which prompted generals, security agencies and even the president answering to public cries and inquires over these issues. One abreast with the recent political events would agree that more cases of public interests have been responded to even those originated from social networks as Twitter, facebook and nairaland itself. Never in the history of Nigeria has the general public been able to question and scrutinize the goverment as much as is being experienced under the Goodluck administration thanks to the FOI bill passed by our humble president. In all of these political events that have been transforming the dynamics of politics in today's NIgeria, a case bothers me and a majority of the public the most. This is no other case than that of the certificate of the APC's presidential candidate in the person of Muhammad Buhari. The public outcry compelling him to produce his certificate is being experienced from quarters of government, non governmental organizations, public and private sectors, individuals and groups, yet Muhammad Buhari has failed woefully to present this legal document which by law qualifies him to be eligible to stand for the 2015 presidential elections. I say boldly that this certificate saga has enabled nigerians to know the power and might the FOI bill has in terms of demanding the truth from those who are at the helm of government and those who aspire to rule us. The public demand for Muhammad Buhari to produce his certificate has forced him to produce a statement of result which has been under public scrutiny with lots of eyebrows raised to its authenticity. While Muhammad Buhari has produced a statment of result to the public, this document is in every way different from a certificate which happens to be the bone of contention in this matter as stipulated by INEC to attach this to his presidential aspirant form just as other presidential aspirants has fulfilled this requirment. In an attempt to sway the matter of public interest, a section of Muhammad Buhari's supporters called for the authenticity of the Phd certification of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and a quick and sound response was given by the university of Portharcourt almost 48hours to clearify the certificate as authentic with due process followed. Had it not been for the wide spread appeal from the general public to know and verify the authenticity of Muhammad Buhari's certificate, who would had realize that in this current dispensation of government unlike the others before now, the general public has a say and legitimate right to ask questions and receive answers just as it ought to be. Presently any Tom and Harry can ask to know the president's breakfast and might get a response. In this regard, I personally do appreciate Muhammad Buhari for being a forerunner for change in aiding the General public to be fully aware of the power the FOI bill has given us the citizens to ask questions and receive answers, But in all honest and my humble opinion, Muhammad Buhari is not the change we so much desire. What this country lacks and needs at this point in our fragile democracy is continuity! It is a common practice for new leaders to come into government positions and scrap the plans and policies of the previous government and start up a whole new structure to what was on ground. This lack of continuity has and is killing our structures and we must learn to put an end to it. America as it is today follows a laid down structure which had been set down generations ago, today they have made great success in advancing to become one of the greatest countries in the world. Let us say yes to continuity Let us say yes to the on-going change and transformation. Let us say yes to a performer in the person of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to continue his good works in Nigeria. Seun:You haven't seen nothing yet! Upon all your attempts to please these hay pee cee destructive fellows, they never appreciate your attempts to make them happy. I honestly do feel for you sometimes! It must be really hard to make a balance but then again, it's better to do what is right than to do what pleases a few over the majority! This hay pee cee fellows would stop at nothing to achieve their sinister aims and objectives! Their plans to use nairaland to achieve this is worrisome! Better becareful of them and watch them keenly for your own good. If this topic actually makes front page then they actually have a grip on you which I suspect is the case. However, it's not to late to pull away from these aggrieved people's congress hold! Emancipate yourself from their fold and stand for the truth at all times. I have taken time without numbers to warn you of these people! Be wise seun! Bless you! Shallom. |
Firefire:Yes oh! You know the drill... Watever software the op is using is so on point.. Maybe most hay pee cee supporters are either brain dead or have serious eye problems. This should help them have a genuine rethink of their miserable lives ![]() |
Hay pee cee deluded followers are cry babies! Always crying for front page attention/recognition and when it doesn't favour them and their lame paymasters they cry fowl! Bunch of ingrates! Like seun built nairaland for them.. Although they mostly get their rubbish on the front page, you don't see patriots calling rain over it! Never seen any persons or group of persons wine over the front page like their lives depend on it like these lots! Some even make threats to bring NL down for their selfish propaganda and flasehood.. Now they know what it feels like to have a taste of their own medicine! Unlike their paid agents, those that support the truth are genuine citizens that mean well for this great country. Come failbuhari 14th these enemies of the state shall be put into extinction! Bunch of demented loosers! ![]() |
Why has Buhari failed to approach WAEC for his result?? Rather he went to the same school his principal falsely issued him a letter of recommendation saying 'he will pass' WAEC when he had not even sat for the exam. Mr intergrity better do the needful and apply to the right issuing authority which is WAEC rather than the fake one his school has provided. Kapish ![]() |
Pukes on thread! Can never be in the gathering of aggrieved people's congress.. *unfollows* ![]() |

buhari had not been in possession of his school certificate all this while and his only applying today to get it from his school. My question thus goes, what certificate did Buhari present in order for him to be accepted into the U.S war college?? |

Gosh! Can Bearly stand that kwopchun accent! Would be looking forward to reading it on NL! Hay pee ceeee would be working tirelessly tonight to make any sense whatsoever come tomorrow. Well hope his showing his certificate rather than cooking up another lie from the pits of hell. Hay pee cee seems never to run short of lies anyways. First it was 'it's with the military' then 'IBB stole it' then 'I used it to enter U.S war college'. I wonder what's on the lie list tomorrow. Patriots are waiting to burst watever comes next from the hay pee cee fold. We would never be ruled buy a quota system product when we have more qualified hands dreaming to rule this great country. |
It's better to respond to them with a smile or a wave than outrightly ignoring them even if one has nothing to offer. Putting a smile on someone's face is worth more than silver or gold. |
This news reminds me of the 'dogs' and 'baboons' soaked in blood statement. Seems the hay pee cee deluded fellows are getting ready for their wishful parallel government. Kudos to the vigilant cops for this break through, even God in heaven would reward the police for adverting the blood and flesh desired from the purchasers of these deadly tools. |
Osunbade..... Why APC synonymous to lies, deceit, flasehood and propaganda. Anyone who doesn't know this by now is on a long thing.. ![]() |
Omooba77:My brother I tire o! The thing no Jst dey make sense at all! Destroying something your benefiting from just to spoil GEJ's achievements is whack and evil! |
The vandalism of gas pipe lines that aids power generation is beyond human reasoning! It is not like the vandals take the gases away or use them for any useful purpose, they just open these pipes to free air to waste. What or who could be behind this devilish act? What purpose are they trying to achieve ? Other than being a stumbling block to GEJ's administration in reaching an all time high power generation and distribution, I cannot phantom any other idea even if a foolish one. This vandalism reeks of the desperate opposition to paint the FG in a bad state just like the issue of boko haram in the north. The opposition knows that if boko is ended just as light is steadily available, they stand far lesser chances in wining GEJ at the polls. In the spirit of patrotisim and fairness, the opposition should stop this act of madness and restrain from discrediting the government through unethical and immoral means. This great country belongs to all of us despite our difference. Rather than work to damage it, we should be working to build it up. |

This new love of chad to nigeria is worrisome! The nigerian government has to be cautious with these Chadian troops and its government, we all remember the chibok girls issue where chad played a fast one on NIgeria. A while ago, news circulated that some Chadians were caught admits nigerian boko fighters. The fact that Chadians, Sudanese and malian's are easy recruits for boko is not new to anyone. There's a deliberate plot to distabilze and embarrass the NIgerian state and if chad is in on this, nigeria would now be facing a more sophisticated and organized Chadian troops disguised as boko boys from Cameroonian territory. |
