I think getting nigeria signed into the OIC was unnecessary and only done for selfish and religious reasons not only to IBB who according to the write up, took this desicision single handily but also for the OIC itself.
This single unwarranted step (signing nigeria into OIC) put the christain folks on the edge, making them feel uneasy which made Isreal for its own selfish reason, extend a hand of balance by signing a treaty with the nigerian state in regards to the unequal treatment by the then government to Christians.

This for me is the beginning and birth of religious intolerance in Nigeria. Forget the talk of other african states like Cameroon et al were members bla bla bla.. The nigerian sate is perculiar to its own laws, people and principles. The aims and objectives of this OIC is enough to irk any sensible christain, why do such if not a party to what they seek to achieve. Little wonders MURIC was 'crying fowl' when they saw an acclaimed 'star of David' on the new 100 note.
There is just so much religious intorelance in the nigerian state, emanating from the Islamic folks. For years the Christians had been torrelant even when they have had their livelihood, homes and properties raised to durst in the north by boko and other uprising, the after election killing mostly southern christain corpers in 2011, the drawing of the prophet that spark protest here in the north which caused Mayham and destruction affecting the christain folks... Just to mention a few.
Could the Muslim folks turn 'the other cheek' if all these attacks were deliberately targeted at them?? Your guess is as good as mine.

The U.S.A prediction on nigeria's possible break up in 2015 comes to mind again. However this time I see religion playing a role in regards to its actualization. It's the only way this entity can divorce, the ethnic and tribes are too much to all hate on each other to a fault. However these tribes or ethnic groups are either predominantly Christians in the south or predominantly Muslim in the North (CNN).

While Nigerians are urged to restrain and abstain from all from of violence and religious intorelance in this upcoming elections, if any of OIC's aims and objectives is achieved in Nigeria come 2015! We know the man behind the ink (IBB).

When the Nigerian president (GEJ) said terrorism was a global phenomenon, a lot of critics said he was being clueless and making excuses. Well, here's another terror related activity in the making. Am sure the Kenyan people and government turned a blind eye to the call by GEJ for a regional security force to checkmate terrorist expansion and advances to and fro the african borders. Today Kenya, Cameroon and other countries are experiencing one form of terror related activities or another on their home soil. Perhaps they taught is was just a Nigerian 'Thing' perculiar to the Nigerian people alone.
Could GEJ be a prophet?? He foresaw the expansion of terrorism into other countries, knowing how easily brainwased the vulnerable can be through religion and financial instability which the sponsors glady capitalize on.

I strongly believe that the name 'boko haram' and its meaning is a front for the 'world order' aiming to destabilize the African continent as a whole. Sadly most politicians and individuals or groups, have allowed themselves to be used in this global agenda. Some have blamed GEJ, Buhari, Arewa, ISIS, bin laden, CAN, Muslims, christains etc.. Could all these individuals or groups have the financial chest to wage war on the continent? Your guess is as good as mine.
Terrorism has and would always be the gate way for invasion, wars, neo colonization, exploit etc.. It's every where! Lybia, Syria, Iraq, Iran, NIgeria, Mali etc.

These events has forced me to think of the "end times" in which christains are being persecuted, killed and lynched because of their faith. Am not here for arguments on tithes or no tithes! Tithe It's a personal action or commitment between a believer in Christ and his God. Arguing over it won't change the fact that it's practiced freely world wide and it works for those who engage in it.

Reliable source told our Correspondent that “the Police Mobile Base in Damaturu was one of the security formations that came under attack by insurgents”.
“As I am talking to you now, we are in serious confusion now, gunshots and explosions everywhere especially from the southern part of the city and people are fleeing,” said an embattled resident, Mallam Usmanu Iliya.

Another resident who did not want his name mentioned for security reasons said he was woken up by the gunshots and blast which started at about 6am, and he suspects Boko Haram may be attacking.
Another resident who could barely speak as he was panting simply told our reporter that “We are running for our lives…we are under attack… We don’t know where to hide, the shooting is all over….”.

Although, as at press time, the attacks and confrontations by security operatives in Damaturu is still continuing, the actual casualty figure is yet to be ascertained.
Likewise, the sporadic gunshots that woke the residents of Maiduguri according to military sources “were not from Boko Haram sect, but a routine test of arms and ammunitions by security operatives in the state”. Even though, the development puts more fear on the minds of parents send their children to schools, while those who normally go out for work early in the morning could not do so.

Meanwhile, residents of Lassa over the week end reportedly resisted the attack on its community by engaging the attackers with locally made guns, bows and arrows.
