How can buhari say most Nigerians under 30 have not gone to school? The past government has spent billions of pounds and dollars educating Nigerians in the UK, USA and other countries on scholarship. Nigerian parents are not left out too in sending their kids abroad to get the best education. In addition, we have firms that send their staffs abroad to schools to learn. So where did buhari get his statistics from??
Since his regime tho Nigerians, goverment bodies, companies and private sectors now find it hard to send their wards to school abroad and our education in Nigeria is nothing to write home about. Even Assu came out to say under buhari education has received the least funding. The guy is a disaster!

Wike is right! The FG through the military bodies as the army, navi and nsdc are burning illegal refineries and boats that carry crude oil. This causes air pollution in Rivers state as well as the oil spilage into the sea that affects the livelihood of those living in such communities.

The buhari led Federal government is indeed a culprit to reducing the lives of rivers people as they gave the military bodies such orders. There are videos on YouTube that show the military shooting at boats and burning illegal refineries.

Burning these refineries causes the black smoke to go into the air creating the sooth then shooting at boats from choppers cause the oil to spill into the water ways as well as black smoke in the air from the explosion and destruction.

The rivers state government must hereby through it's state assembly make destroying of illegal bunkery an offence and that off the boats as well.

The federal government should convert the illegal refineries to Modula refineries and the boats sized then the crude be handed over to nnpc.

Its a wrong approach to solving the problem of bunkery in the region as it causes more harm to the environment than good. Why not modernise and industrialize the process of bunkery by legalising it than destroy it. In terms of the oil on boats, why not size them and reprocess them or dispose of them in a more secure way than spill them to the waters that cause harm to the lives and livelihood of those that live around those rural areas.

To get to the root cause of the soot which is the aim of the topic, we must identity all sectors that contribute to the general epidemic that exist in rivers state.

There are no official statistic to ascertain the level to which the military engages in burning illegal refinery's and boats but its occurs more regular than you think.

People are refusing to address the military's engagement and participation in causing such activities that produce soots in the rivers environment and thats what am all about.

The soot is caused by the FG and the military via the policy of burning illegal refinerys and vessels that carry these substandard products. How can the FG order the military to keep polluting our lands and waterways instead of confiscating these products to be used legally.

A lot of times these black soots are caused by the burning done by the military and there are videos on YouTube of military choppers shooting at these vessels that go up in smoke causing this soots.

The rivers state government must through the state assembly declare the burning of illegal refinerys and vessels illegal so the soots can be reduced drastically.
