Tranquillity360: Why's it that those that suddenly care for Igbo land are the people that rejoiced and cheered Nigeria army and police for killing hundreds of unarmed Igbo youths protesting?
Is there something we need to know? before you make such careless accusations be sure you have proof of where i rejoiced in the killings of igbos or any human for that matter, if you don't have anything to say....keep quiet |

gidgiddy: What you watched is happening in all parts of Nigeria. Ritualists, cultists, killer herdsmen etc are all doing it. Killing people, chopping of heads and private parts.
What I dont understand is why everyone is suddenly acting surprised as if this is an isolated thing because the perpetrators spoke Igbo
What we should be talking about is how to bring the perpetrators to book and stop the killings plea to stopping these killings is the sole purpose of this thread, there are individual killings in all parts of Nigeria, but with the exception of boko haram/ bandits, non has as such negative impact on it's region as much as this is effecting the Eastern region. |

mrvitalis: If you think ESN would be killing Igbos and still have the support of Igbos then you are not wise
Ask yourself what ESN would gain from killing Igbos ? What would be the outcome ? Lesser Igbo support ? Who would benefit from Igbos supporting ESN less ? In that case let ESN start from stopping the No Monday movement, this is one avenue these criminal are using to hijack their "struggle",you come out an threaten to kill whoever moves on a particular day, when people gets killed you expect not to be blamed for it?....Pleaseeee |

mrvitalis: Firstly there is absolutely no evidence that those are IPOB members of you have present it
Secondly did you write a topic like this when army massacred Igbo youths in obigbo ? Raped women and made them not change pants for months ... if you didn't then you are bring hypocritical here
We Igbos warned you guys don't push Igbo youths to the wall they are like what you haven't seen before ...this is just the beginning ...if Nigeria don't do the right thing it would get worse i admit i didn't write this Epistle when the soldiers did, but hear me out...when that happened i knew this mistake by the military would compel the Igbos to rise after being pushed to the wall but the ESN took a very wrong turn in their approach. Lets use the Niger Delta avengers as an example, they where wiser and more strategic than their predecessors(MEND), rather than wholesale kidnap of their people they went about hurting the federal government installations and it was far more effective. their modus operandi wasn't killing their own people from the start for any reason and nobody could hijack their struggle to kill their people, it would be obvious it wasn't them. ESN network lost it when they killed Igbos simply going about their daily business and allowed political and high profile assassinations on their name,if they weren't responsible from the beginning they should have violently denounced and gone after criminal killing the people they swore to protect. Nnamdi Kanu had much love and respect from within and outside igbo land back then, he didn't need the violence to achieve his goal.......... Especially this violence on his people. |

Regarding the bolded....the guy hasn't been picked up for questioning by the DSS because they're all in cahoots! Same reason explains why the fed' gov't hasn't said or acted against the Ekpa bastard! Every sensible non-core northerner knows the Nigerian security services harbour some at their highest echelons who are pure evil and have sullied their hands with the blood of innocents....just ask Theophilus Danjuma! My brother, this is why i am calling for a unified disbandment of IPOB by the Igbos, if there is nor more unknown Gunmen, then the DSS will not have any unknown gunmen cover if they are really behind this as some claim... |

Think. Right now this is not a question of if its IPOB or not, for the fact this menace has been allowed to grow this much will always have unintended consequences, criminal elements and all what's not will hijack to commit all sort of nonsense and the blame will fall on IPOB, all these chaos originated from them and its time to put a stop to it, the Igbos need to unify and completely disband them. |

micellgevity: In my honest opinion, I have read and read over and over again, but I still can't comprehend how eNaira is different from the Naira in my bank account that I can transfer to any other bank account. This feature which seems to be the flagship of the eNaira. The CBN banned crypto currency in Nigeria, but still went ahead to introduce eNaira which they claim use blockhchain technology. I don't think they know what they want. The best the CBN could do for Nigerians is to create an eDollar wallet where everyone will have access to forex without going to bank or bureau de change. This is how I think it should work: 1. You download the eDollar wallet and register. 2. Fund your eDollar wallet with Naira from your Naira bank account. Upon funding this eDollar wallet with Naira, your Naira automatically converts to dollars based on the CBN rate, which you can use to do do international transactions. With this, there won't be any bureau de change or Aboki Fx to speculate the dollar price. The reason being that only the CBN will have control over the rate because the eDollar wallet belongs to them. Also, they will be able to monitor every dollar that goes out of this country for international transactions. There will also be a daily limit to the amount you can transact or transfer. Terrorists can be put under watch as there should be a law banning physical dollars in the circulation. Let all dollar transactions go through CBN eDollar wallet. In my opinion, I think the bereau de change will be out of business, the commercial banks will be boycotted and won't be able to cheat customers, speculators will not have anything to speculate and there will be one common dollar price.
Lalasticlala Mynd44 Supermod, pls move to the front page for our CBN to see. i think what would be better option is allow currency swap of eNaira to stable USD coins like USDT and BUSD at official exchange rate aided by our BVN to checkmate individual limits..... i think that could work |

The working mechanism of a battery is the movement of charges between the electrodes through a medium called electrolyte. The Electrolytes are inorganic acid such as H2SO4, HNO3 and HCl. Neither the electrodes nor the electrolytes are made from fossil fuel.
Though, electric batteries can't take the place of fossil fuel, never. Never say never |

grandstar: 75% is quite a high number. That means a lot of Access bank staff will be included.
Please note that Access bank is notorious for the use of contract staff. It will mostly be contract staff that will be affected and not those staffed.
Whether contract staff or not, 75% is a high number. It may actually be 75% of Diamond bank staff. I think it's 75% of total access bank staff not just ex-diamond staffs |

Sometimes you guys just don't think If you bothered to read my second statement you would see where I was insinuating that perhaps Access bank might have had trouble long before the lockdown/covid-19 stress. Secondly as someone pointed out earlier in this thread that for a tier 1 bank to feel so much stress as to warrant sacking 75% of it's workforce in such a short period doesn't tell well, and I second him. Finally you can pass your message across without insults...cheers |

Politics › Re: My Thoughts On Access Bank by Xerxes2088(op): 12:41pm On May 03, 2020 |
Rich4god: Access Bank sacked staff not because of lockdown, but because of the merger they had with diamond. So many of the staff from both bank became redundant with the merger. You can see some branches just side by side with each other. So there was need to lay off hands and what better excuses to use than the lock down.
If you work in the bank, you will knw that despite the lockdown, banks are still making profit, though may not be as much as before.
CBN didn't close money market, Interbank market is still open, customers deposit are still in banks wch gives them profit. Online transaction and ATM are still functioning, wch generates income. Though the income could be small, but the lockdown is just a cover for the sack. Also note that operating expenses might have dropped significantly.
The bank knows what it just did. Yeah I understand them sacking some staffs cause of the close proximity of some diamond and access branches...but sacking 75% of it's work force....might just say something could be wrong deeper than just the close proximity of branches, 30-40% would be understandable..but 75% |

Bakason247: Access Bank has a history of exiting staff without blinking an eye. Thesame thing they did immediately they acquired intercontinental Bank.
How can a Tier 1 Bank be announcing a mass sack after just one month of lockdown? Most microfinance Banks have not even sacked their staff. It is clear that the Bank had an underlying challenges that has been exacerbated by the lockdown! God bless you.....infact their running costs reduced by maybe as much as 70% during this lockdown, so for them to start sacking even before opening their doors fully on opened there was a problem before the lockdown |

Access bank is more of my problem because 1) access bank has my savings and millions of other Nigerian's not atiku, and so should be much more accountable and open on their financial standing. 2) closing 348 branches(not staffs oh) as against atiku's 48 staffs..I don't think I am out of order to focus on access bank and it's effect on the economy. 3) A very close relative is affected by one of their closed branches. As for the story for Atiku, I don't know. My message I am passing across is that, Access bank might just have been in distress before the covid-19 but just used it as an excuse......if you do know the story of Atiku's sack however pls share. |

With the news of Access bank retrenching about 75% of it's work force and prior donation of 1 billion naira to the federal government just before the lockdown, I think Access bank already had distress after absorbing diamond Bank and had plans to sack some staffs but didn't really have an excuse or way to get it done without a public and workers union outcry. And in comes covid-19 and they saw a perfect opportunity to retrench as much staff/weight as possible while making a billion naira "donation" to the government to be on their good books. |

You may own the land, but you cannot own the River : that's not true......a country owns and controls about 22km from coastline into the ocean..after then, it becomes no-man's land..this said river you are talking about flows into or from the ocean through rivers state(south-south) and so it's within their territory and control..just like the Panama canal is within the control of Panama. |
