Glithronix: My choice, though. Those three vehicles are of the same engine capacity, but when it comes to interior and exterior beauty, the DC takes the crown amongst the three.
Much respect, sir. Different strokes I find the EOD more appealing, the rear end is the difference, I hate the rear end of the DC |

It’s a funny world, lot of people don’t care, the moment people saw it wasn’t my fault after the harassment and they can’t really pin it on me, they left me. While he was in the hospital, I walk around to see if anyone will identify with him as I saw some guys talking about him. They deny knowing anything about him. He is obviously relatively known around that neighborhood, but no one want to stand for him. It’s a crazy world indeed. I stood as witness for someone who hit a dispatch rider some months back, it was the dispatch rider's fault completely, the mob nearly lynched me. I felt so broken that day, all kinds of emotions. Thank God for life Sha, it could have been much worse. |

What work are you going to do in a place like Makurdi, Gombe or Abeokuta to demand 150k+ a month?
And these are state capitals. The disparity is huge bro, that's 9 out of every 10 |

Doris4ever: Look, personally I have been an office person for several years. I have also been an employer of labor for years.
Now, talking about an office person. There are categories of salary. For an office person earning 300k downwards, how do you want to measure that individual with someone making 50k daily after all expenses.
Most office people survive on loans, using their salary to service one loan or the other. I have been there and still have several colleagues who are still office workers.
Infact I have a close friend who cannot do anything else aside office work.
Before the next salary, he's broke to zero.
I also know some office people balling and living large as well - this category earn above 1M and above monthly.
See this screenshot below, this is one of my colleagues. We are working in same company and department before I resigned in 2019.
This is not to mock him, but I use it to buttress my point. Been an office person doesn't guarantee that you are financially capable and okay. Saw a video today (don't know how accurate she is or her source o) that said around 90% of of Nigerians earn less than 150k monthly. The remaining are spread across 5 other income brackets. |

Pearl1910: Some takes dey amaze me. When u are talking about this office work to compare with ehailing, pls include the salary range so that one can properly comprehend, digest and critique your point. Currently Palmpay is offering me 300k loan, I can collect 500k from GTB and I have gotten upto 3m from Renmoney.
Even though u are arguing left and right, I can conclude you are saying if an Ehailing driver has financial discipline and management then he is far better than a salary earner. Am I right? I have long come to the conclusion that it's not about the money for a lot of drivers, it's the "rep" that's eating them. The perception that they're "ordinary Uber drivers". That's where I think the issue is otherwise why are we always arguing about numbers? Numbers don't lie. Na inferiority complex and low self esteem don give them chokehold |

Djdamian: My brother, I’ve looked into the car market recently, and I can tell you that finding a good Naija-used car for 3.5 million is nothing but a fairy tale these days.
A sound car now goes for 4 million and above—no jokes at all. I think you're referring to Toyotas. There's more to e-hailing than the Toyota Corolla o. I think we're all referring to a lease and not hire purchase. For a hire purchase arrangement I've always maintained that the weekly remittances should be as high as "driverly" possible, unless the driver has no intention of seeing the agreement through |

tojahh: If this is your focus then you're not being a shrewd businessman like you claim. Whatever your 7m naira car can do for ehailing. A 3.5m car will do it exactly all things being equal. So why invest 7m and breathe on drivers neck to rush in your stake when you can as well stay true to reality and get your stake quicker and faster?
Sodiki Exactly. Lower entry price Same yield You'll make 3m quicker than you'll make 7m. Maintenance costs are lower Lower exposure to said risks |

Ksmart027 please what's the going rate for rentals now? At the time drivers were pushing for 25k I'd said it like some of us are saying now, they were either doing it wrong out of genuine ignorance or they were inept or straight up lying about the job being unprofitable while they were cashing out with landlord's car. This matter didn't start now that fuel is 1k, it's been since the fulani man's time. It's the same old MO, nothing new |

Djdamian: This is indeed a very intriguing topic.
If drivers can genuinely remit 120k-140k or more weekly, I believe many investors would renew their interest in this business, including myself. The key to everything is the driver, na where wahala de dey be that. Also, like the dead horse we've been flogging here since, what some drivers earn here others can't conceive the thought of such figures talk more of earning it. So, go figure |

YeyeGbami: Put in the time, cash out the reward. Uche, xghost , ogedetiponbabe have all proved it.
December 2M or nothing. It's not so much about Putting in the time as it is about making the right choices. The screenshot below for example, 9k after Uber commissions, some drivers would jump at it but look closely. Trip distance 17.7km Trip time 1hr 10. Factor in a 13 minute pickup time, that's already 1hr23. Ideally 17km trip should not be more than 40 minutes at 2km per minute with some extra time for buffer. This means to me that traffic is about 30 minutes. Which means extra fuel, extra wear on my car and more mental and physical fatigue. I could make this same amount using less energy, less time and less fuel

Omoapena: You see this paragraph, it speaks alot...
But, once someone just complain of something, they feel the person isn't doing well through ehailing.
Like you said, you can't wake up 5am to drive anymore, likewise me, I've put in the work to achieve little I have now, but truth is, the work doesn't worth that effort anymore.
Before this Tpain happen, I know how much I take home with 5hours of work, but now, I have to put in 10hours+ to achieve same result, does that make the work worth the time, I will say NO if you ask me.. Contentment is also key, I make peace with things that are not in my power to change, where I must. Doesn't mean I don't have higher aspirations, like Hennessy, "Never stop, Never Settle". Was it Pope or Pearl who referenced how daily net targets have been steady Increasing to stay ahead of the inflationary curve, that's how the world operates and we should be no different. However, and this is where I point to you, even before balablu you've been on the side of it's not profitable. I was shocked when after the whole price hikes same una flooded the thread with how much you were making and how many cars y'all had and ultimately circling back to "the hustle no pay". Exactly as you've said here now. To the point una nearly ask landlord to give driver car for free. C'mon Let's get real with ourselves for once abeg. Nobody has ever said there aren't challenges and anybody who comes into the hustle and thinks it's all streets paved in gold is a thief. But show me where there are no challenges. Do you know how happy I am every time I see Obedi post his earnings, Pearl to but him na baba. Obedi de give me joy. And I hope others see the dashboards and the hustle generally how I see it... as the promise of what's possible, that's why I post anything here |

pope191: Conner44 and Depotemi shabi una do see nah jeje I deh my own, una don allow Pearl give me skibo. Well, I still won’t get involved in all this band A or Band L drivers tissues.
But my Oga Pearl it feels good to see the game changed like this. From my POV there’s nothing new, it’s all about the energy. I was looking thro prism the other day and I smiled. This hustle that used to be 10k daily target grown to 20k. I remember when Cheerful used to chase 40k, but here we are today. If I do 70/80 on indrive and you do 100 plus on Bolt. Enough is ok on a white man’s app. Just like “much respect” bolt just no fascinate me, if I open the app, I don’t know why I deh close em back.
About 9/5 or constant earning? Nah person dem say e carry 100m give person 😳 that thing touch me. We can’t be honest with ourselves, so I say atleast make I try Dey honest with myself, even if it is what it is. Like play like play person go drive for 10 years and it is not what I want to do, it is not what I want to do now em we keep saying, Me I don’t know if you are completely ok with driving (best of all boss). Today, I learnt comry spider is 10m… meaning total networth for most drivers after years of driving can’t even buy corrolla, talk more of their dream cars and that’s how this thing will be going. Inflation will keep overshadowing earning, no matter how big it gets. F*cking love Mustang and what I am seeing is around 14m, still want to get it tho, but not with this racket. Donfort don talk am finish. There’s never a career path here. Nah where you drive reach, hang key, e end. No pension, no health insurance from anywhere. Unless you are running it on the low, but how many drivers are paying attention to this? A month out of driving, just like 9 to 5 too, apprehension sets in. Come and borrow me money sets in. Trust me boss… there’s more to life then loading earning, paying bills and buying fuel. A/c don show me shege from Saturday till this morning, still going out today to check how I’ll fix the gas that keep disappearing within a day (now u see say nah personal problem 😂).
I met a young lady in her 20s that just got a job with moniepoint 900k monthly. We had a good chat, I feel that. If you give me option of Uber driver or US visa, even you will beat me if I pick the wrong chioce. So I feel some folks see thro driving. Not discouraging anyone, in solidarity and body we still gather, maybe mind and spirit differ sha. So Conner44, Depotemi Dey one side make Pearl too Dey one side. I honestly no won get myself involve in any of these. Peace ✌️ You are not wrong, Pearl is also spot on, like I've always emphasized PERSPECTIVE and LIVE AND LET LIVE, Barbiturate has said it too. I know how far I've come with this hustle, now I'm planning to be like you and get "Personal car and e-hailing car", isn't that growth? You posted some cars and receipts the other day, won't you consider it as growth? I believe you didn't acquire everything at once. Bills are universal whether driver, CEO or even unemployed, they come for us all and a man must meet them or perish. That's why I get up and go to work. I talked about health insurance the other day, I can afford it so I have it. Last year I took a holiday outside this country. Some of the things I dreamt of affording myself I can now, but this wasn't always the case. Let no one come here to try and force a single narrative and then have the audacity to abuse anyone who challenges that narrative. Their bile can't change anything for me but it will do a whole lot to them unfortunately. |

They say it can not be done, I did it and showed them.
Then they said not that it's impossible but it can't be consistent. I did it on all different days of the week (Monday to Friday) Saturday and Sunday is a given. Proof that even if I do this 100days I will get same minimum results.
