You can try the base plan I don't know if the 3500 quoted here is accurate. Alexandrite is the middle plan

Yeah. My first quarter was roughly 6k each per month. I used to pay 36k for the 2 of us every quarter. They increased the premium around June or July

But if 12k commission is taken from the 50k, u will be left with 13k and not 25k or am I missing something
The bonus is 6k for 9 trips I guess 🤔
No sir, like I said this is Uber because that's where I drive. The figures you see are after commissions. Uber only shows you your takings NET of commissions. 50k is AFTER commissions

I just Taya grin reading all this comments and gbas gbos makes me feel like a veteran in this hustle.
I see bunch of lazy drivers with lack of knowledge and understanding of the hustle.
Gone are the days of dragging road & dashboards with pearl1910 & cheerfulgiverr week in week out to net 150k. Wake up early morning surge to island back to airport from island and shuttling island while Barbiturate ikejaman is counting bridge at ikeja city mall ants drivers raking money on island.
I know the hustle is not for everyone and it’s not easy to break even but this donbrowser generation of newbie drivers are not ready to learn and understand the hustle they just pick cars on rentals and two weeks down the line knock it. Plenty Cho Cho Cho and big grammar but little knowledge about the hustle. Yet not ready to learn from elders.
The same weekly target of 150k net of bubu baba go slow regime is the same weekly net of XGhost in this T pain regime abeg how e wan add uphuh
October-Ember month target of 1M that sent cheerful and his car to psychiatric is the same month drivers are complaining. Monthly Target should be 3M by now.
But no motivation anywhere in Nigeria, everybody just complaining

Add the bonus and it's no longer 150k wink
Target during Aboki wasn't 150k either.
150k target was since "Subsidy is gone".
Target for 1k per litre is still being worked out

Ok great. All I'm trying to say is that you set aside money for repairs due to damage that naturally occur on cars. Anything can happen to a car at anytime. The more you drive, the more damage occur. So when you say you made a net of 25k after deducting every, did you also deduct money for repairs in case of wear and tear? The 25k isn't really your full profit. You need to have a seperate place/acct you keep money for repairs. It's different from your profit.
Of course. Maybe not in the manner you have said it Sha. I operate just 2 accounts, 1 savings and 1 expense. Apart from servicing repairs may not come for months and sometimes it just pours in like rain. I try to stay prepared.
What I do, for work that can be deferred, I push it then factor the cost into my target. So it could mean having to work extra just so I don't enter my account to pay for it. The ones that have to be done, we do, that's why saving is important.
Yesterday I worked on my AC, spent over 100k, but I haven't been working this month so the money had to come out of pocket, no problem.

Let me use the opportunity to talk money.
Guys, save o. Save for the heavy commitments. For the smaller ones, work extra. Those 20k, 30k, 50k bills. Work extra to pay them. To recharge meter, pay for WiFi, streaming, DSTV, small small work around the house or the black tax, work extra.
Delay those that you can delay.
I do 120k monthly Àjọ too, that goes towards my rent. Usually servicing the car and repairs, money for my parents etc comes from 4th week's money.

Get an HMO plan. Very important. Part of they reason I haven't worked in October, my wife was Ill so I was home for over a week. HMO covered everything Hospital Registration and consultation, admission, drips, injections ,drugs and tests covered except for 1 20k test. She took almost 30 injections and drips, I paid nothing. For 20k monthly.

The day I resumed, AC stopped working, compressor. Immediately after dropping off the rider I went straight to Daleko to get another one 100k. The guy fixed it, e de cut fuse. He said it's electrical matter. Called my rewire guy, he wasn't available for a whole week, so no work. I don't work without AC, maybe one day I'll learn to. Finally fixed it yesterday, but I'm taking the day off, I start work tomorrow, probably everyday till the 30th.

Like everything in life, there are pros and cons but you have to roll with it, remember "the rich also cry" grin

Make I just dey watch! I no go talk too much again. I wan be like pope, but I just hate to stay idle.
Wear and tear. No way this won't creep up on you, but you must reduce it as much as you possibly can.

Because I started early I can close early. Usually from around 4 to 5pm I'm ready to go home. If it's been a very good day 3pm.
I take a break for an hour in the afternoon, I go grab a bite, if I'm around Yaba, 30 minutes, then try sleep or just relax for 30. If it's a day I have a hot hand I'll probably work straight through then be home like 4pm.
Also I try to take 2 days off weekly or at least 1 day. It mostly depends on how far I've gone with my bonus quests. Also like I've said before, mixing trips allows me some rest time after the morning rush. I don't like overly long trips, 40 mins max with minimal traffic, awesome.
Getting home early allows me sleep early. I try to do 10pm though I still struggle with this because I'm really not a sleep person.
I also try to eat, at least one big home cooked meal everyday plus what I eat outside then I snack a lot. There must always be something to snack on in the car, usually crackers, sometimes I take fruits, 1 apple, 1 banana and some grapes. Sometimes it's bread. Water is also a must.
My estate has a gym and pool which I try to drag myself to, not as regularly as I would like to. I do 5km on the treadmill and 10km of cycling. I do stretches too, very very important. This gym part is a real struggle Sha because man's be naturally lazy grin but I de try, make person no go "slump and die" one day.

Forgot to add... If your car has heated seats, my brother, use it. That thing works wonders for your back. I think you drive a Camry, just try it.

How do you win the bonus when they give you trips you don't wanna honour, which will affect your completion and acceptance rate thereby making it difficult for you to meet up...
Acceptance rate or cancellations don't affect bonus quests on uber

What I meant is this: youd have to put in more hours that's:

10k fuel=10k net very easy to make

But if he wan take home like 30k profit he will have to net at least 60k that implies more hours and 30k fuel at least
Ok, gotcha. You're right.
Let me use this opportunity to address all these "I bought 5k fuel". That's just 5 litres. Your car has to be in tip-top condition You have to know what you're doing to hope to make anything with that. Na money you go use find this money

While you're at it, my advice for you is that if your engine capacity doesn't fall between 1.0 and 1.8 maximum, don't bother yourself if not, you will work harder than hard before you can see something meaningful as take home
While these are the ideal, I, from my own experience won't say it has to be. If it's his car then it can work. I use a 2.4l engine, however, I started with a Corolla but I was paying rent then, so...

This is how much driving I've done since fuel became 1k. Spent 50k on fuel for this. So I don't think I'm doing that bad, however, like I said it's still early days. But no way my net should go below 150k a week which is my target.
Someone also gave me 2500 for breakfast because he enjoyed the music.

What I do not and will not do is rage against things I have no control over, that's insanity.

Seriously guys making Good money through E hailing should share more ideas

I done dey discourage sef
I can only speak to my experience driving on Uber alone and driving in LAGOS.

My goal daily is 25k net.
I start early between 5.30am and 6am
I live on the island so I maximize the morning office runs. If I'm lucky I get surge trips but I really don't chase those.
My goal is turnover to make profit so I don't do long trips. Also because I chase bonuses I mix my trips.
I run lekki VI back and forth repeatedly. Doing this also reduces down time and mental fatigue which I think is part of what a lot of drivers complaining here experience. By midday when requests have reduced I can now start doing long trips. By this time traffic to and from the mainland would have nearly disappeared too so it pays me.
By 12, I'd have done between 25 and 35k depending on how hot the hand is. Bear in mind my gross target is 50k (fuel 20, feeding and misc. 5k, take home 25k)
With fuel at 1k however this will have to change but I've only driven a few days since the latest increase so I really can't say for now.
Bonuses also work for me and I try not to miss them. I typically get 80k to 120k in bonuses weekly. I use it to augment any shortfalls.
As long as there are riders and requests I think it'll pay. The margins may have shrunk but it'll even out in the end in my opinion.

My advice is find a routine that seems to work and exploit it to the max.
Chase those bonuses, it's like free money. Even if all you use it for is to offset you commission payments.
Chose you trips wisely, not all long trips make sense. Check how much the trip will net you and how quickly you'll get another trip, if it's to some parts of the hinterland. If I'm to take such a trip then it should pay me to the point that I can afford to drive out of the area empty instead of waiting till I get a trip out.

On a personal note, maintain a positive attitude, keep your car clean and in good shape and always look and smell good. This will reduce see-finish from riders. Have proper illuminating conversations with riders, if you must. If you're into offline trips you'll be amazed how many offers you'll get.

Can one make decent earnings doing just short distance ride. I assume the best way to earn is long distance Trip like mainland to the island etc but is it possible to still make a decent earning driving short distance only.

I am on alimosho presently, does it make sense just driving around egbeda, ipaja, abule egba, towards toll gate axis. Ikotun, isheri, down to igando

Pls enlightened me someone
It depends. Some short trips will take 20-25 minutes especially if it's those inner streets with several turns. They don't make sense, you'll spend longer time and use more fuel than if it's a 10km trip of straight roads.
Some short trips with very close pickup and 5 10 minutes drop-off, not bad if you ask me.
Sometimes you use them to change position
Also if you're chasing bonus.

Some long trips on the other hand may take a lot of time too due to traffic. Ideally Island to mainland (Ikeja side) trip of 40 minutes max is awesome.
Too long and fatigue and fuel burn become extra.
Just strike a balance so you don't burnout

The only people I think enjoy Uber per say is the moove guys

I can keep my Uber app on all day and only 5trips go pop up out of which 3 have long pick up or Uber fastest fingers go first you rush am
You're right about the long pickups, that shit is soooooo annoying. Everytime I take the survey that's one of my complaints.
But trips usually come in regularly for me and I can afford to pick and choose. Same for the trip radar requests. A lot of times I decline trip radar requests so that regular Uber x requests can enter.
I've also been asking them to cancel that trip radar thing, na nonsense however I learned recently that they've had it in other countries before introducing it here recently.
I like Uber for the peace. The riders are also more well mannered than bolt

Then boycott the app and use bolt or uber......simple!

I wish all drivers can leave that app......walai, their brain go reset.

Got a trip from that yaba train station yesterday morning to lekki phase 1. Bolt showed 11k. They gave rider bonus of 1600. I checked on indrive and saw 6600.....which will still be reduced!

Nonsense app! They already told you guys they are fighting "injustice"

My last trip on bolt yesterday, 20 mins from Anthony village to kilo 7800, 800 bonus. The guy sef shock. It was 3200 on indrive
But why can't drivers leave the app. While it may not be possible every single time, I believe strongly in things that align with my principles and values and if something doesn't sit well with me I'll leave it. It's why I have been on Uber exclusively for nearly two years now and I have no regrets.
No matter how much people may be making on the other apps, as long as Uber gives me peace of mind, I de ok.

Finding a job isn't as easy as it seems, trust me. I don't know his qualifications or age group, but I doubt he'll find the level of income and freedom he's looking for in a typical 9-to-5 job.

I recommend he either find a way to succeed in the e-hailing business he is used to or explore other ventures. Transitioning from running a business to job hunting can be challenging.
When people say get a job, I wonder how much these jobs will pay. Will it pay 500 net?
Do you have the requisite qualifications and EXPERIENCE to negotiate 500 net?

Let's say you land the job. As things are right now, can that person run a car on the road for a month? Petrol has already taken more than 100k at 1k per liter.
While he may not do maintenance as often as we do, he will still do some.
Already he is left with less than 400. Living expenses are universal.
His freedom is more limited than mine. There's no guarantee that his workplace is not toxic.

The grass may appear greener on the other side until you cross over and maybe find out it's actually artificial grass. To everything in life there are pros and cons, let each man evaluate and decide what works or doesn't. It's simple enough in my opinion.
