Comprehensively insure your car

Install a good tracking system. And give your car to anybody.

The way you guys hold on to this guarantor stuff, one would think it's a better option.

If a driver gets involved in an accident, you'll still spend money to arrest the guarantor. In the end, the police will witness an agreement that the guarantor would pay small-small. Let's not forget that you will still give the police money too.

Just insure the car comprehensively. It's better than requesting 1000 guarantors..

My opinion

When it's time, I don't need anybody's guarantor... Give me you last two partners numbers dasall

At the strike and bolded is the reason why u are still not getting the first response pearl1910 gave u

Entitlement mentality

I think your quote and response applies more to you than the rider.
Fact that he wrote oga doesn't mean he implied that he's your superior. It's our manner of speaking. How many times have you called your contemporary bros or boss? It's how we converse informally which could also be interpreted as a form of camaraderie.
It's an insecurity problem that makes you so quickly interprete something so simple to be a slight on your person.

Please i have a question regarding Bolt drivers because i am so fed up with them.

- Why would a driver accept a request & switch off their phone.

- Some will accept your request and set "Driver has arrived" and then refuse to pick their calls or respond.

WHY? WHY?

I mean if a driver isn't going my way, all he needs is for him/her to tell me and I will cancel.

Is Bolt forcing drivers to accept rides or what?

Once he "arrives" he wants to cancel. Just cancel and move on, for your own time and sanity

why are the questions not answered

The person he's directed the questions to didn't say he uses or has used one before. He's a mechanic and what he said is he has fixed some before. So he's not exactly in the position to answer accurately.

If suggest you get a Nigerian used car of about 1.4m, and put the balance of about 600k ($1k) on Royal Q.
Work with the car, while the other one works for you. You earn in Naira, bot earns in $
At the end of the month you both smile smiley

I totally agree. Corolla is not the only car that can be used for the hustle. Sadly a lot of people don't know, as I've come to learn.

Oga if you like that civic and you wanna use it for ehailing then buy it and use it for ehailing. Apart from it being a hatchback (just like Toyota Matrix) there is nothing else wrong with the looks of the car.

A rider will spend approximately a few seconds waiting/looking at the EXTERIOR of your ride when you are about to pick them up but they can spend roughly an hour or more on the INTERIOR of that same ride after they have embarked on their trip. Even when the trip ends they pay you while still INSIDE your ride and once they exit the car they walk away because your transaction has been finished while sitting inside your car.

If I were you I’d focus on the INTERIOR part of the ride being top notch ie. good seats, cold Ac, clear sound system and no odors than to be bothered about if your car looks ugly or not.

For what it’s worth in my own opinion I dot see that blue hatchback civic as being an ugly car looking like a toad. In fact I will consider it over many other popular choices on the roads today.

I second this opinion.
What you MUST do is make sure the interior is never caught UNFRESH.
AC MUST chill badly.
car MUST always smell nice. DO NOT go cheap with the air freshener.
You yourself MUST ALWAYS LOOK AND SMELL GOOD.

This low rating thing was also said about the saloon civic wayyy back when Dru was the only proponent of the car, but how is that going now? In my experience some people are that fickle and will rate you low irrespective, but that's a negligible number of riders.
I dropped my rented corolla and bought the 04 civic saloon for 450k, used it for a year and bought the car I'm driving now. You can use it as a means to a better car and you get to save whatever extra that's left after buying it.

In every 10 drivers on rental only 1 or 2 have been able to maintain or drive the same car for 1yr without a change of car or partner. It's a known fact,

You can't please humans no matter how much you try. Lay on the ground they'll will still tell you you're not well flattened for them to walk through. So tell me, what is the probability that a driver will have a car for at least 12months to be able to save up and buy his own afterwards?

I'm not saying the analysis is not good, it is but how viable can it be?

Man proposes God disposes, let's pray not to be unfortunate in life because a single problem can wreck once savings of 12months in one day.

Mind you, most cars on rentals have 3rd party insurance... Pray not to knock somebody down.

Despite all of these things its is best to seek opinions, carry out a good feasibility and have at least 3 options then decide which best suit you as an individual.

Be it HP or rental I don't see any being good but only your own because your own and my own no be d same thing

To me the only HP purpose I would prefer is me making a choice of the car and selecting the car myself. Why would you be the one to select a car and still be the one to place a price tag on it? O wrong na.

This is one sided bros... When you guys talk you always speak like the drivers are saints and landlords are demons. You forget it's a business, contractual obligations were set from the get go but drivers will start telling stories along the line. Some as soon as first week. All that most owners demand is their weekly rent paid as at when due but greed won't allow drivers. Make Una de talk the two sides abeg.

Any oil without this seal they fear me to use o.

Yeah I feel you, and honestly I had same concerns initially but my older brother has used the oil with his XC90 since he got the car last year without issues, same for his wife's RX350. So me sef transitioned from coastal synthetic blend to NordKapp full synthetic.

And it doesn't have the logo but it's written on the jug

It's now every 4months, at a reduced price.

Oh... Beht why na.

It's actually at a higher cost now.
3 times a year at 1500 is 4500 per year
Twice a year at 2k is 4k per year

Truth is, you can also rev your engine with cruise control when you push that stick up gently, your vehicle accelerates and maintains the km/h at whatever point you stop, same thing happens when you push the stick down, your vehicle decelerates. Cruise control can only work on highways and on major roads where you can do 40km/h and above. Also, stepping on the brake pedal at any point, deactivates the cruise control, so you need to resume once you go above 40km/h to reactivate it.

Simple.

Depending on the traffic, I either tap or hold the - sign to slow down, same for + to speed up. I can also accelerate if I need to speed up instantly and once I take my foot if it goes back to the set speed. I have a cancel button if I want to use engine braking and a refresh button that takes the car back to the previous set speed. If you can read the traffic ahead of you well, it works like a treat.

Lol. My point exactly. People hate what they don't understand.

When I was driving the corolla, I took it into one of the "big" auto shops for diagnosis and it had a cruise control error, dude was like nobody uses that here so I shouldn't bother, told him he's found someone who does use it here.
3rd mainland, against traffic, I fit put leg on top dashboard if I like sef. Unfortunately, people cannot stay in lane in Lagos

Bruvvvvv!

This is even ride sharing o...I'm just watching videos of anoda one dat does doordash n UberEats...his own problem is the fact that he doesn't like dealing with people, so food delivery works better for him.
And he's making similar amount as the one doing ride share.
My own is how cool there cars are...this one is driving a 2018 Elantra embarassed
Great fuel economy and extremely good roads in dat Pennsylvania and he $16.7 per hour for 6hours...How about the ones in New York and other highbrow cities embarassed

NIGERIA IS FVCKED!

It's cool o, however they have their own peculiar cons.
Taxes, bills, rent. Imagine someone lives in a $600 or 1k a month house. That's 25% of his pre-tax income on rent alone. Pay this pay that. Before you know...
If you live in New York you'd most likely be paying more.

Funny enough I like these kind of trips provided the rider will not waste my time at PU. I pick you, end the trip under 3 minutes, collect my N500 naira and reposition grin

They are never quick. They'll come out late, ask you to wait for another person that's still coming, one random girl will casually stroll out 5 minutes later. When you finally move they'll want to buy okpa from one woman on the next street, then the girl will drop at the bus stop too

Post his number and account details. Very simple.

Abeg make una Help me put mouth , because i wan drop the guy details now so tracking will begin

Good days guys...Pleas read and advice me

i am the guy that said i will be travelling to lagos to meet with the person processing my drivers license and other vehicle papper...for those who may be seeing this for the 1st time , i posted that i needed to do license and someone called me from here , we talked for a long time and chatted on whatsapp ,he assured me that he is into helping people get new drivers license and he is not a scam , he cleared all my doubt , this is happening around middle of july....i sent him money , so after much delay and argument between both of us ,he asked me to come to lagos for capturing which i posted here and many folks here asked me to go to lagos 1st ...i went to lagos and called him, after many calls he picked my call and asked me to wait at the roadsafty office that someone will come and attend to me by 10, i waited till 5pm i didn't see anyone , then the roadsafty officials were feeling pity for me ,so when i called him to speak with one of the official at least to either give me the number of the person that i am waiting for or tell them (the roadsafty officials) the person name since they all work in the same office he cut the call... so i waited till evening no show from him,i left that Thursday since i don't have much money with me, i slept in an uncompleted building at Mowe...i was in that building throughout friday trying his number and the number was not going through , so friday evening i left with a night bus going to East , we where at Ijebuode when his call entered my phone .....He told me that the only thing he will assure me is that if he did not do the drivers license that i will be getting my money back, that i should calm down by monday he will call me ...Monday passed and he did not call as promised ,but he sent a text that i should not start doing another drivers license implying that there is still hope in the one he is doing .... Yesterday i sent him a text telling him that i can wait but he must tell me his facebook name so i can send him request ,at least i can know who i am doing something with, he ignored that part.......Today again he send me a text telling me that i should give him this week,if i don't get my money i should ask for refund......why i am posting this stuff here is for you guys to advice me ,i don't really want to start posting someone private details here, because i still feel he is genuine but failure to give me his facebook name is clearing some doupt in me that this is Scam. i know you will read this too because you saw the last one i posted and we talked about it , meaning you will see this one too , what is your facebook name ..and if you are advising pleas also be aware that he will read it thanks ....

If you can afford it, I'd advice you let it go and you get started on a new one. Pattybf is credible. You can even choose to run it by yourself too.
No point wasting valuable and getting you hopes up then dashed again and again.
