Are you preparing for college? here are 7 tips for college Success. 1. Attend Classes For most college freshers, attending lectures means wasting of time since a large proportion of the course work have been previously dealt with in the high school . Attending lectures have a huge impact on your CGP (cumulative grade point ). Some already solve problems during your lectures may also be repeated during tests or exams. In some Universities you may need to cover 70 percent attendance before you can even sit for an exams. 2. Get to know your lecturers. Knowing and assessing your lecturers may be a first step to passing your exams, this will give you the idea on how they present their lectures and how they test you during exams. Your lecturers are their to help you. If possible choose a guidiance counselor among them. 3. Take charge for yourself. In University, there’s no one to remind you of that assignment, practicals or projects. So it is up to you to know the right things to do and at the right time. 4. Take advantage of semester break. You can choose to to learn new skills do some menial jobs and get paid. You may also volunteer with ngo, attend different programmes and seminar this could boost your CV and also help you gain more practical knowledge. 5. Pursue your course with passion. Have you ask yourself why you choose that course, were you force to take up the course? Without the monetary rewards will you have choosing the course? Are you in the right environment to study that course? Ask yourself these questions. If you don’t like a course or environment be sure to go for a change of course or institution huh! yes it is possible. You can also choose to adopt with your new course who knows, you might just discover new strength you never new you had. 6. Stay focus and organize. Form a study group, share ideas with other students. Try to devote 2-3 hours of your day for studying, get a time table and plan ahead of your exams. 7. Socialise.
