Wrestling legend "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has died at the age of 61. Piper, born Roderick George Toombs, died from cardiac arrest in his sleep at his home in Hollywood on Thursday night but was discovered on Friday.
Piper had been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2006 but last November he said he was cancer free. Piper was a wrestling icon one of the biggest stars in the WWE back in the '80s, and even wrestled in "Wrestlemania I" back in 1985, squaring oPiper was admitted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2005 and was one of the top 50 villains in the history of the WWE. Flood Disaster Hit Ghana + 78 killed at fuel station (graphic photos)
No fewer than 78 persons were killed after a gas station they ran to for shelter during heavy downpour went up in flames in Acrra, Ghana yesterday June 3rd. According to Ghana's Fire Service spokesperson, Billy Anagate, the fire started at the Neoplan Bus station at about 5.00pm and then quickly spread to the Goil gas station, causing an explosion which killed all the people taking refuge there. Bodies of the victims are still being evacuated from the scene of the incident.

Flood that resulted from the heavy downpour submerged some buildings and vehicles causing people to take refuge in the gas station. Most buildings that had caught fire from the explosion burned away into the night as 'floodwater around the site hindered recovery attempts. Some of the photos are very graphic. Popular Osun State-born Prophet, J.K. A 31-year old woman who masked 430 grammes of heroin in her private part has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

Onyinye Aladi, a single mother of one, was arrested during an inward screening of passengers aboard an Emirate flight from Pakistan.

In a statement on Thursday, the anti-narcotics agency said that the arrest was facilitated with the aid of scanning machines.

“During the inward screening of Emirate passengers, one Aladi Onyinye Juliet tested positive for narcotic ingestion,” said Hamza Umar, NDLEA Commander at the Lagos airport. “While under observation, the drug was subsequently expelled, field-tested and weighed.”


Preliminary investigations, according to the NDLEA, indicated that the suspect, who hails from Abia State, had established link with some Pakistani drug traffickers who sponsored her trip in collaboration with some local accomplices.

In her statement, Ms. Aladi said that she engaged in drug trafficking to settle her bills.

“I am a single mother and I need money to take care of myself and child,” said Ms. Aladi, who is based in Aba. “I used to sell clothes but the profit is inadequate to sustain my family. Temidayo Joseph was found dead yesterday morning just hours after he collected his GCSE exam results ,which was believed to be very poor
Though cause of Temidayo death ,who was a student of Ockendon Academy, in Essex, UK, is yet to be confirmed,his friend said he was heartbroken after collecting his exam results

He reportedly left the school immediately without speaking a word before his lifeless body was found in a wooded area around the school with self-inflicted wounds.

What challenges did you encounter when you started?
It was really challenging just like every business comes with its own challenges. I could remember a time I got a job for a very good role after going for the auditions from the outset. I was inside the location bus when the EP talked to the PM and the Production Manager came to tell me that the Executive Producer said that I didn’t look like Eucharia Anunobi and that they have someone who looks very much like her, and that was the person he wanted. I accepted, dropped the script, came down and went back home.

How did you feel?
I felt bad, because I really gave my best right from the audition and got the role.

Maybe the other actress has features more than you do as Anunobi?
Excuse me. The person that it was given to, how is she? She does not look an inch of Eucharia Anunobi. Please, don’t even go there because I don’t want to talk about that issue.

Are you sure it’s not because of séx for role?
Honestly, I don’t know about that and I don’t dig into people’s lives, but for my side, there was no approach because I went for the job. The Executive Producer wasn’t there when they were doing the auditions.


What’s your notion about séxual harassment in the movie industry?
There is no place where you wouldn’t find sexual harassment, you could as well find it in the banking industry. The reason it’s so pronounced in the entertainment industry is simply that it’s for entertainment and people’s eyes are on it. So, in as much as you are a woman, men would approach you and then if you feel you want to date him and have some fun, you go ahead; it’s your life. There is no discrimination about that, but don’t make it look like you are being harassed or forced to do what you do not want to do. You have a mind of your own and you are mature enough to take decisions.

Have you experienced producers asking séx for role with you?
No, I don’t think anybody would want to do such a thing to me. When you approach me and you are good, I might decide to take a decision and have my fun.

Are you into a relationship?
Don’t worry about my love life, I won’t like to discuss it, but when the right time comes, you would know. I’m single but not searching.

Does the lucky man in your life complain about your career?
Not at all, he loves my job.

If your husband tells you to quit acting, would you agree?
I don’t think such situation would occur, so I don’t even want to think about it. When we get to that bridge we would cross it, definitely. I think that a situation has ended a relationship for me before now but I just concluded that it wasn’t meant for me.

You look innocent, what would it cost for you to go nude?
Please, do not judge me by my looks, I could be crazy at times. I can act any part in a movie as far as it’s not a nude movie for my role determines what I do. As far as it’s not Nollywood, but I can go nude in Hollywood because I believe before Hollywood would request for such, they should have their reason for doing so. A businesswoman, identified as Lizzy, has been found dead at her apartment in Odusanya Oduguwa Crescent, Green Estate in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State. 39-year-old Lizzy, an indigene of Anambra State was murdered in cold blood by her boyfriend who also carted away her money, ATM cards, jewellery and her expensive Range Rover Sport vehicle.

A source said, “She was into networking and owned houses in different parts of Lagos. She was an international businesswoman and travelled round the world.

“She had said she would be travelling to the US this week and had gone to the bank with her boyfriend to withdraw N4m.

“When they both got to her house, the man tied her hands and strangled her. He took the money and went away in the car.”

According to Punch, the incident happened on Saturday morning. It was learnt from a police source that Lizzy, an executive in a networking firm, was strangled by the suspect in his bid to escape with her money.

When Punch visited the victim’s residence on Tuesday, the house was locked up. A security man, who did not identify himself, said the house was shut by the police.

“The police have been here and they locked up the house,” he said.

A sick, demented, New York woman has been arrested and charged with second degree murder after police authorities say she smothered her 11-month-old son, pictured above, before posting pictures of his dead body on Facebook.

Nicole “Nikki” Kelly uploaded an image of 11-month-old Kiam Felix Jr. lying in a white suit and tie with the caption “RIP Tinkabutt,” alongside a picture of his body in a hospital bed. She also posted a rambling Facebook screed in which she admitted she failed to “protect” the boy. Kelly wrote:

“Missing my baby boy so much wish there was some way I could bring him back to life. I feel horrible knowing he passed away. Am his Mother, I was supposed to protect him. I
know his spirit will always be around me . . .”

However, what Kelly didn’t say was that, according to officials, she had killed the boy on Sunday by putting a sheet over his face as she tucked him into bed. Kelly watched the tot struggle to breathe before callously leaving him alone to die. When she came back a half-hour later, she found him blue and unresponsive, said Queens DA Richard Brown.

When the boy’s father, Kiam ­Felix Sr., arrived at the family’s Elmhurst home several hours later, he rushed the boy to Elmhurst Hospital. Tolani Ajayi, the 21year old Redeemer University student who hacked his father to death on Tuesday July 3rd , has finally spoken to reporters about what led him to kill his own dad. Speaking to journalists today at the Eleweran Police Headquarters, Abeokuta, Tolani said he attacked his father after he (the father) beat him with a stick, which he said made him very angry.


"There is no way Nigerians can help me. I am going to face my judgement. I am meant to pay for what I have done. It is not as if I am ready, it is something that is inevitable - something that is going to happen; I am just waiting for it.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. when the church would have been sleeping by then. It was anger that led me to this. There was an argument between us and I stood up to him. According to Premium Times, when asked if he was under the influence of any drugs when he attacked his father, Tolani admitted taking drugs but denied he was on drugs on the day of the murder, saying it was more spiritual.

He also said it was not planned. He said his father was the one that first went to the kitchen to get a wooden spoon which he used to hit him. Tolani then went into the kitchen, took a knife and cutlass and attacked his father.

“I tried to defend myself, then he bit me on my shoulder and I got angry. I used normal small kitchen knife then I used a cutlass to attack him. I regret the action,”

A movie producer in Ghana as been arrested by the police force in the country after the said man was caught with a 17 year old girl, after the producer promised to get her a movie role ,Apparently, the Producer promise to feature the girl in one of the top movies in Ghana.

According to information gathered ,The producer went further to convince the girl to sleep with him to enable him put her name on the final list.

The naive little girl accepted his proposition and then went to meet him at an unknown location. After enjoying the girl, the producer couldn’t feature the girl on any movie.
