Training of exited N Power volunteers begins October – FG

The Federal government has disclosed its plan to commence training for the exited batches A and B of the NPower scheme. The Federal Government also said out of 500,000 exited volunteers, 390,000 of them have been successfully accommodated in the NEXIT.

NEXIT is an exit package for all the beneficiaries of the N Power in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to enable them to benefit from the CBN empowerment options.

According to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, the training would commence next month.

She disclosed these on Wednesday while speaking at the Chatham House on social development and humanitarian challenges facing Nigeria, and the government’s responses to the ongoing humanitarian and food crises in the country.

On the plan of the Federal Government for the exited N Power volunteers, she said:

“The exited volunteers have been put on a programme with the Central Bank of Nigeria in partnership with the ministry to prepare an exit package for them and we have gone very far in this regard.

“People have registered onto different skills that they want to be supported and we are at the point of training these exited NPower beneficiaries on to the skills that they have choosen for themselves.

“By next month, we should start the process of training them on their preferred skills.

“We are working with the CBN to support them with soft loans and out of the 500,000 exited N Power beneficiaries, about 390,000 of them have successfully been accommodated into the NEXIT programme while about 109,000 are already on their way to entrepreneurship on their own even before we started the NEXIT.”

She also said the beneficiaries would be given a starter pack at the end of the training.

Rapid Response Register (RRR) State Code in Nigeria

The Rapid Response Register is A 2.3 trillion naira stimulus package by the federal government to mitigate the effect of covid-19 .An initiative being overseen by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development

The target group will include the urban poor and vulnerable population. Also, those low-income earners involved in the informal sector who may have lost their income opportunities will be eligible for registration into the Rapid Response Register.

At the very least, one million households total of million across 36 states and the FCT will be targeted & enrolled through this new COVID-19 Special Rapid Registry of beneficiary. Every household captured in this register will be paid N5,000 monthly for an initial period of period of 12 months.

Cheating in a relationship is one of the most hurtful experiences in life because of the pain it comes with. A 39-year-old man identified as Kabiru from Apomu has being caught with a fresh human head who happens to be the girlfriend of his friend.

Kabiru who worked as a bricklayer and security guard for an office complex narrated how his friend Identified as Akin brought her girlfriend to his house and what happened afterwards.

According to him, Akin slept with the lady in his room and afterwards he strangled her while he assisted him to hold her legs. Then Akin, cuts her head and removed other body parts.
My name is Kabiru from Apomu, and I am 39 years old. I don't know the lady I am holding her head, but my friend identified as Akin brought her to my house yesterday. He slept with her and told me that he needed her head and heart.

"He killed her and dismember her body parts in my room. I am a bricklayer and security guard, not a butcher. Akin knows how to do those things, so he butcher the lady himself.

Akin did not promise me anything, but told me to take any body part I needed, but I do not need any.

The Founder of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations, Temitope Joshua, better known as Prophet TB Joshua, is dead.

Joshua reportedly died on Saturday night in Lagos after concluding a programme at his church.

The church and his family have not officially announced his death. He was 57. Plans were underway for his 58th birthday. Joshua was born on June 12, 1963.

News of his demise became a trend on Twitter in the early hours of Saturday as many Nigerians took turns to mourn the late prophet.

The cause of his death was not immediately disclosed, but sources told Saharareporters he fell ill two days ago.

His body is believed to have been deposited at General Hospital in Isolo, Lagos.

TB Joshua's megachurch runs the popular Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos, followed by many Christians worldwide.

Joshua is famous across Africa, Europe and America. His YouTube channel, Emmanuel TV, had over 1,000,000 subscribers and was the world's most viewed Christian ministry on the platform before it was suspended.

This morning, a certain young man who is through his Facebook profile is identified as Don Kelly Onyeka has taken a very bold step to what he thinks is the root of his problem. The young man boldly tendered an apology to a lady identified as Ujunwa Olivia.

In his apology note as Ujunwa shared on her Facebook wall, Onyeka said that a time ago, they were five men who violated Ujunwa in a certain classroom.

In the note, he pointed out that it wasn't once that the incident happened but ever since he identified Ujunwa on facebook, his conscience has not been at rest.

Onyeka pointed out that three out of the five of them who did the ungodly act are already dead remaining just two of them and according to him, his family is in a mess and his business shattered.

He tendered this apology to Ujunwa asking her to forgive him and he would make himself known to her.
Ujunwa Olivia on her own side shared that she woke up to the friend request of Onyeka and when she opened it, she saw what he wrote and at the moment, she has nothing to say yet as she is still putting herself together to say something.

A middle-aged man identified as Paul Robson had allegedly hacked his 47-year-old girlfriend to death after he discovered that she had an affair with a 15-year-old boy. Linda Ikeji Blog reported that Robson armed himself with two bottles of ammonia then stabbed and slashed his former girlfriend and her teenage lover with a kitchen knife, scissors and a meat cleaver and then squirted them with ammonia.It was gathered that Paul covered a distance of over 150 miles from Glasgow to Northumberland to murder his girlfriend after he discovered her love affair with the young boy. He was later arrested by U.S police after the deceased family complained about the murder. Prosecutors have alleged that Paul had initially requested a sum of 35,000 Euro from the deceased and promised to ruin her if she did not give him the money.
She however gave him a thousand pound to satisfy his demand but the suspect went on to kill her. The teenage boy too was assaulted by Paul because according to him, he was together with the deceased when the suspect entered her house with scissors in his hand. He stabbed the boy on his shoulder before stabbing his girlfriend at multiple places on her body. Both of them were rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors were unable to save her life

Suspected killer of Khadijat Adenike, daughter of former deputy governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo, Adeyemi Alao, has confessed that he slept with the corpse of khadijat for six days in his room.
Alao, who claimed to be Khadijat’s boy friend of over five years, said he had no intention of killing his late girl friend when he invited her to his residence at Oke-Aro area of Akure, until he met her making love with another person in his room.
The suspected killer, who was paraded yesterday at the state police headquarters in Akure, confessed that he dug a grave inside his room in an attempt to bury Khadijat before he was arrested by the police.
Alao was arrested on Sunday, following the discovery of the corpse of Khadijat, a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, in his house by the police.
The deceased had earlier been declared missing by her parent when she could not be found by her friends in school and the parent, also, could not find her at home.
The suspect, while being interrogated, confirmed the killing of the deceased, but denied responsibility for her death, saying he met her dead inside his room.
He said the late Khadijat was notorious for sex and could have sexual intercourse with any individual not minding the status or age of the fellow.
“She called me that she was in Lagos and I asked what she was doing in Lagos. She said she was there to perfect the project she was writing. She told me she would come to visit me after leaving Lagos and she came, but, the following day she went out and returned with two boys who she claimed were his brothers.
“I went out one day and when I returned, I saw one of the boys she called her friend making love with her. I was furious and I beat her to pulp. The boy escaped because he threatened to shoot me with a gun in his hand,” he added.
Alao, who denied rumours that he killed Khadijat for ritual purpose, confessed that he made arrangements to bury her inside the room, having dug a grave but was eventually caught.
Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, said the suspected killer would face the full wrath of the law.
