Nop,she doesn't. This is the reason you can't open an account until you are 18 legally. Age of consent is 18 not 17 and half.

Fifteen year old girl of nowadays don open eyes.

I don't see any reason for arresting this guy as far as it is not a rape .
15 years to 22 years is 7 years different. Both should be arrested and tried for unfaithfulness to the society..
Sex with a person under 18 is defilement and punishable under the law. The child acts law kicks against it. A child can't give consent.

Why re they prosecuting an innocent man? What hypocrisy is that? Is 15yr gal not capable of child birth nd even marriage in the north? D gal has been enjoyin the penis without complain, he didnt rape the girl, they must stop bullying that yung man asap nd the man shud pay traditional levy for breakin her vrginity so that he can finally hav the sweet 15/16yr old cunt which is the sweetest cunt in the world. I will neva forget in corper's lodge kankara l.g of katsina state a fulani fura d'nunu seller abt 15/16 willingly told me she likes me "ina son ka" n i sed "ina son ki" so i told her "zo muje cikin gidan" she carried ha nunu bucket n entered inside corpa lodge with me thankgod corpas comot dat tym nd i enjoyed the sweetest cunt of my life, very tight, scrapping my penis wit little blood stains. Wen we don i didnt collct change frm her nd she passd tru window cus sum fulani herdsmen whr alrdy grazin cattle outside. Oh! Take me back to kankara l.g of katsina state! I miss katsina when i see stories like this.
If only you knew that this could implicate you in the future. Sex with a child under 18 is rape. Children no matter how developed they are can't give consent, it's defilement.

Its not their fault. It is that of the trader that advertised his substandard wares on their platform. Hope you returned it and got a refund.
Even with alliexpress, Amazon etc you have same issues hence jumia has to confirm from the buyer the product sold is as advertised before releasing payment to the seller.
It is their fault o, the charges can kill. I personally was a vendor before I shut my stores. They expect you to sell with 100 naira and they gain 1000naira. They keep calling you to reduce price. The losses I have made in Jumia hen, I go rent shop and pay for 2 years with it in Lagos. They are fraudulent, make policies that will benefit them only, change policies with vendors knowing. The number of vendors that have lost millions to them can't be counted. If you happen to know vendors, ask them. They will explain. I have paid commission of 200k+ in a month with my gain not upto 50k.

TGM2015:
I think they should closed down.

Majority of the products on Jumia are fake or substandard with high prices. There are more fraudulent sellers that deceive (scammed) intending buyers with good product pictures but deliver unexpecting/fake/low quality products. The worst is that Jumia by their policies protect these set of Sellers, unfortunately, these set of sellers are in the majority on the platform.

Driving market share (growth) without prioritising customers' satisfaction and protecting customers' interests cum scamming one employees with (job insecurity) less than a year employment, will definitely see the company out of operations. They will continue to lose as much more customers they are gaining everyday. So profit will not be growing and eventually they will be out of the market.

Seriously, if not for our indifferent/tolerant attitude as Nigerian to people (govt, employers, recruiters, individuals, etc) who are oppressing us; Jumia should have not only suspended but closed their operations in Nigeria with the level of deceptive selling strategies adopted by majority of her sellers.

As for me, their app is only good for checking product prices, most especially technology (phones and computers) related products.

Don't blame the vendors all together o. Imagine that I buy an item for 200 naira, I sell it for 1000, Jumia collects 600 naira. 399 as commission and 300 for shipping contribution, I am left with 400 naira, packaging material is 100 naira, printing is 50 naira. What is my gain then? This has pushed people to the brink o. They will still call you to reduce price but keep increasing their commission. They(Jumia) are the cause of their Woes.

Xone3 you said it all and surpassed. I attended their vendor trainings a couple of times and quickly realized these loopholes you outlined and thus refused to transact on Jumia for fear of inevitable losses waiting to happen.

So my real question is "what is the way forward".

And Please what's your views on trading on .

Trading on Jiji is great but 3 things are involved.
1) Your prices have to be very cheap like wholesales prices
2) You must decide whether to accept pay on delivery or payment before delivery and which shipping company to use.
3) Be ready to pay for jiji subscription for at least 3 months.

In the aftermath of events following Jumia being listed on the stock market and it being tagged as a fraud by the investment research firm Citron Research (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/shareholder-alert-pomerantz-law-firm-235200258.html ) , there has been quite a lot of changes made on the website affecting most of its vendors significantly.

It is no wonder that most of the vendors have had to put their stores on holiday mode or closure as conditions continue to worsen. New vendors are being on-boarded everyday to fill the ever growing gap of decline in products and vendors.

Jumia seems to be at a stage where they need money seriously. In this period, there have been
* Significant increase in commission rate (least commision per item is now pegged at 300)
*Increase in shipping contribution( Vendors are also charged shipping contribution to customers, to reduce the cost to customers they say)
*You are unable/barred from sending an email to them. You can only raise a claim(Most of the time the claims are rendered invalid or not responded to)
*Linking of BVN number to your seller center(a means to secure your store they say, however, hearsay says it is a way to know how many stores you have and debit an erring store)
*Increase in charges for order cancellation from *2 to *3 and this is pegged at 2500.
*Jumia has refused to pay for invoiced items. They claim they didn't receive the invoice and you forfeit the items. You are told you can't be paid and your item cannot be returned either.
* The return rate/delivery failed is higher and you begin to wonder if the items were shipped at all.
* Goods are damaged, exchanged and used before being returned.
* You lose money continually whether your items deliver or not while Jumia keeps winning.
* You are victimized if you report a hub or agent. You run around like fools making sure you fulfil an order despite all odds and it comes back damaged, used, broken etc.

Or is it the policies put in place to make sure vendors pay for whatever problem they have. They capture your products for flimsy excuses and you're debited 3k for that.

The joy of making sales is nothing compared to the bitterness of realising you are running at a loss. Most vendors happiness are short-lived when they realise that their capital is gone and what they have to show for it is a heap of waste called returns. Do you know you can not ship a delivery failed item? The packaging probably came back crumpled from Jumia handling, does not have a full stop or some of the parts came back missing? etc.

The new vendors are not paid until after at least two weeks. If you're thinking of joining Jumia as a vendor, kindly take note of the "Account statement feature" on your dashboard, let it be your friend, download it every week and study it. Kindly note that you will make profit but the losses may eventually outweigh the gain.

Jumia has proven to be a blessing and a malediction, it will make you and eventually break you. Be prepared for the sleepless nights, the headaches, weight loss/gain, frustrations and don't forget you may have to borrow money to fulfill orders sometimes(LMAO) trust me, it happens even to the best of the best.
You labor, we gain.

This guy is the kind of person who would use anybody’s unfortunate situation for the advancement of his social media status.

Solomon is not stupid. That a person has HIV does not mean she is olosho nor be left to die. Sooner or later the news about her status will come out. The guy has followers before this and is known by people before this.

I wonder when Nigerians will stop associating everything to spiritual attacks... I mean, this lady is frightened, if u see the video, she was standing .. Twisting her hair, probably thanking God for being alive and what do we do? Some fools stood around her capturing her , insulting her and making a fool of themselves. Wow!
She needs someone to clothe her, feed her and tend to her wounds... I'm so sad right now. What if her condition is health related... What if her family actually threw her out... What if ..... We need to rethink.... And there are women amongst her accuser who does worse than they are accusing her OF.
Even if she did date a yahoo boy( If) , Are there not women who are married, engaged and in a good relationships who still Bleep around? They are worse than these ladies who made their intention known as gold diggers. The real diggers are among us.
Pls, where are the sheltered homes... They need to come and take care of this young and misfortune lady who needs a shoulder to lean on. PLS, HELP HER!!! embarassed .

Thanks a lot for your write-up. God bless you. I actually thought of it too. What if she was kidnapped, the tatoo placed on her body, used and dumped. She could have the tattoo placed on her to make it look like she is a hoe and stigmatise her. What if she was just unfortunate?
Even if she was a prostitute, it doesn't make us judges or any better than her as a human being. It is so appalling to see what we humans have become, how our feelings are dead and cold. Everyone is fighting or struggling and sometimes the measures people take to succeed are hmmmmmm.
