BusinessRe: What Are The Problems You Face As A Forex Trader? by xremmy(m): 2:56pm On Jul 19, 2012
For me, trying to think of potential profit instead of risk was my initial problem. I have reversed that now.

Now all I look for is trade with less than 10pips stoploss and probability of moving to BE is high. The profit part is left for the market to take care of. Still have a short on eur from may, RR is now more than 1:100.

Also, discipline was a serious aspect I had to deal with. Couldn't conquer it till I started seeing trading as a full-time business and not a hobby to just try out and pick up extra income.

Lovely experience. You get to learn so much about yourself.

Happy Pipping all.

Dear Haters,

I was briefed that you people did not even wait for my plane to land in Brazil before you started calling for my head, if not for God that did not deliver me into your hands, I would have gone Dana and your joy would have known no bound. But my God is ever faithful to His servants; He will not allow Patience to become a widow nor my ‘anointing’ to run dry. I was informed that my crime this time is that I travelled out of the country to attend a summit while there were riots in Kaduna and Zaria, you people never cease to amaze me, I thought you would have grown up by now and come to terms with the realities of modern day politics as it is being practiced in other parts of the world.

I heard some of you said I am wicked and heartless, that of course is in addition to the clueless tag you have all given me, an expression which is fast becoming a cliché, albeit an incorrect one considering the number of times I have outwitted you all over the past two years. I pray that you continue to see me as a man lacking in tact and strategy until after 2015 when I shall begin my first term (yes, first term because this one is just a trial, I’m using it to learn the ropes).

So according to your logic because there were riots in Kaduna and Zaria, precipitated by the bombings on Sunday (something you all should be used to by now) I should put myself under house arrest and not travel again? The same lot of you that  condemned my 3 days national mourning declaration for Dana Crash, what is it that you want from me sef? You said mother-hen should lay eggs, it laid eggs, you said it should hatch, it hatched, you said it should brood the chickens, it did, yet mother-hen did not escape your knife to her throat on Christmas day. Listen, I will not be like mother-hen, you people cannot go and come and kill me for my wife, concubines and children, I shall not die but live to enjoy the loots I have so stored up for retirement.

If you people are as intelligent as you have portrayed yourselves to be, then the necessities behind my Brazil trip will not be lost on you. By the way, you didn’t congratulate me on the successful murder and burial of the fuel subsidy scam probe panel report. You see? Na beef una just dey beef me. Just when you thought there was no way out for me, I dribbled you to the left, dribbled you to the right, did a flick even Lionel Messi wouldn’t dare to attempt, and before you knew it GBAM! The ball was at the back of the net. Fuel subsidy probe dead and buried, the only ghost haunting last year’s election done away with, allowing me to focus on 2015 while keeping you busy with more distractions.

How come you didn’t notice we started payment of 2012 subsidy claims this week? Hahahaha, you were too busy mourning Farouk and his dollars. But it’ll be naïve of you to think the man’s political career is over o, infact it has just started. He has now entered his name in the Corruption Hall of Fame, a prerequisite to being a successful PDP politician. We’ll reward him handsomely come 2015. Yes I said reward. Oh! So you still think…………..common, you can’t be so naïve! You people can make somebody laugh sha

So we are in Brazil to celebrate the death of Farouk’s report, it calls for an elaborate celebration. It is not everyday that a N2 trillion scam go unpunished, and yes that explains why I have 116 delegates with me. We had to leave Sambo behind, but I know he’s not happy; he wants to have fun too. Come to think of it, what is your problem gan? Is the money yours? It is our ‘oyel’ money now and we decided to share it so that a man from the ‘oyel’ region can ascend the throne. It is turn by turn, osondi owendi; let the other regions go and find their own ‘oyel’ or wait till I am done in 2023. That is part one, part two is that I heard Cayman Island is not very far from Brazil, I learnt they have very good banks there so I have come to open the anonymous accounts I will use to save my share of this year’s subsidy loot. I am not getting younger so I have to think ahead, those Nigerian banks cannot be trusted, the Dubai banks will not accept my money and UK is now a no-go-area. From what I have seen of Rio de Janeiro it is not a bad place to come and hide if casala burst anytime, for I know the thoughts that you have towards me, they are of evil and not of good, but I will conquer you all.

I have asked Maku to tell you that I am using e-governance to attend to events at home from here, I will use e-looting to injure your foreign reserve while Boko switches to e-terrorism for proper distraction. More and more people will fall into e-poverty, the rest will run to e-religion, PDP will use e-rigging to win the 2015 e-lections and you my critics will go on e-xile.

I am in such high spirit today (no pun intended) and I would have loved to give you a chop-knuckle, but I won’t, instead I am signing this letter off with the middle finger of my left hand, take it. We are going on a boat cruise right now, haters catch me if you can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>!

PoliticsN3bn Pension Scam: We Bribed Senate Committee In Dollars — Suspect by xremmy(op): 7:03am On May 28, 2012
Sani Shu’aibu Teidi, one of the suspects standing trial before the Federal High Court, Abuja, for the massive looting of the pension treasury, has alleged that he and other accomplices paid the Senator Aloysius Etuk-led Senate Committee a N3bn bribe in dollars.
The bribe, it was alleged, was to stall the prosecution of the accused persons. The bribe scandal took another dimension following the
mentioning of the name of the immediate past chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs Farida Waziri, who allegedly working with the mindset that the Senate Committee would make good its promise of stalling the case of the accused persons, also got a property located at Parakou Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja, as
bribe.
The principal suspect further alleged that the Senator Aloysius Etuk-led committee failed to fulfil an earlier promise of helping to stall their prosecution after collecting the N3bn contributory bribe.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the allegations are already causing ripples within the Senate committee. A source close to the principal accused, Dr. Teidi, said that the cause of the disaffection within the Senate committee was borne out of the discovery that, out of the N3bn obtained as bribe from the six accused, Senator Etuk attempted to outsmart his colleagues by declaring only
N500million, a paltry one-sixth of the actual bribe he allegedly collected and also participated in the sharing.
The source added that Dr. Teidi and other accomplices paid the Sen. Etuk-led committee the N3bn bribe in dollars after Teidi was coerced into giving details of his assets/ properties, with the promise to soften the severity of his offence, after which he was asked to give out 50 percent to them.
An obviously angry Dr. Teidi “felt betrayed by the Senate committee leadership’s greed and inability to properly handle our (the accused persons’) matter before” it, our source added, and he therefore resolved to make public all information on the botched agreement.
“In fact, the N3bn bribe offered the senate committee was contributed by all the accused persons, each with the amount of N500million. The committee made us believe that when we give the money being demanded, it will give us a safe landing, thereby escaping prosecution, but, to our greatest dismay, they only succeeded in cutting their own share,” the source quoted Dr. Teidi.

According to the source who pleaded anonymity, trouble started when the deputy chairman of the committee, Senator Kabiru Gaya got wind of the exact sum offered by the accused from an independent source, who is also his kinsman, a former director of the Police Pension Board and
incidentally a relation of one of the accused standing trial before the Abuja Court and confronted Senator Etuk with his findings.
The accused director, who hails from the same
constituency with the Kano State-born Senator, alleged that he used his own pension loot to buy substantial shares in one of the national dailies, and was said to have approached Gaya to know why their case was yet to be quashed as promised after availing them of the N3bn bribe as requested – a disclosure which shocked the committee’s vice chairman.

The matter took a turn for the worse with Senator Etuk denying the charge levelled against him by the suspects, and other members allegedly lost confidence in him. The Senator however did not pick the repeated calls made to his phone and neither did he respond to LEADERSHIP’s text messages which sought clarification over the matter. Senator Etuk had urged the EFCC, the police and other anti-graft agencies to investigate the allegation against him and his committee, claiming that it was the chairman of the task force team who had been trailing the committee with bribe offer to influence the pension scam
investigation. He was quoted to have said that obtained evidence and fact would speak for itself when his committee’s report was submitted to the Senate, not the sentiment of a desperate fellow whose fraud and corrupt act has been
exposed. “The committee never and will never request for bribe,” he said.

2 questions for the fuel subsidy apologists

1, If NNPC currently refines 30% of local consumption, why then are we paying N150 international market price all around. Is Locally refined crude also incurring transportation and landing costs?

2, If the government is appointing men with integrity to head the subsidy removal implementation (Kolade,Belgore and co). Why can't they appoint these people to Head govt agencies such as NNPC, DPR and PPPRA so as to curb the corruption and sharp practices there.

Waiting, ?

PoliticsRe: Why President Goodluck Jonathan Is To Blame For The Insecurity In Nigeria by xremmy(m): 2:34am On Dec 26, 2011
The easiest thing to do is to crictisize and play the blame game. Very easy

Can all the people blaming the president kindly profer solutions to the following.

1, How can the president change the minds of the community and its people who cheer and clap whenever boko haram kills police officers?

2, How do you train an epileptic police force like ours to the standard that you are requesting for (UK and US abi). How long and how much resources is required.

3, I would want to believe the number of churches in Nigeria are more than the total police personnel, so even if a police officer is attached to a church, it won't go round. Also its xmas day, our police wants to be with the family, is incompetent, might probably even salute the bombers once the roger him something. So with the warnings they BH gave, how does the govt foil all their plans.

The problem of Nigeri is not the govt, its the people. Classic example is corruption in Nigera. Let's assume all govt officials that are stealing are boko haram people. And I know everyone that has posted here has either and uncle or an aunt in govt who is cleaning out with reckless abandon. Has anyone of you ever gone to efcc or the police to report that you suspect ur uncle/aunt or even folks of embezzling money? If you with inside info can't report cos of ur selfish interest, you now come to forums to complain about a corrupt govt. How can the country grow.

We have deep seated fundamentall attitudinal issues.

NYSCRe: FG Promises N5m Each To Families Of Slain Corps Members by xremmy(m): 1:29am On May 11, 2011
Here is the full story and kindly read the bolded parts.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday announced a token N5m monetary compensation for each of the families of the 10 National Youth Service Corps members killed in the violence that trailed the presidential elections in some Northern states.

In addition to the monetary compensation, one unemployed graduate sibling of each of the late corps members will be offered automatic federal employment.

Also, all other NYSC members injured during the riots will gain automatic employment into federal establishments on the completion of their service.

Addressing the 10 bereaved families at the Council Chambers of the State House, Jonathan said the NYSC members did not die in vain.

He promised that they would be immortalised “as an enduring source of inspiration” to all Nigerians.

Jonathan said, “Your sons and daughters may be gone, but they have not died in vain. You can take some solace in the fact that they are today national heroes of whom every patriotic Nigerian is immensely proud.

“Our administration holds them in the highest esteem and we are determined to ensure that their names are permanently immortalised as an enduring source of inspiration to us all.

“I appreciate the fact that no amount of recognition can adequately compensate for the deep void that their passing has created in your individual families.

“However, in demonstration of our gratitude for the supreme sacrifice that they have paid in the service of Nigeria, I have decided that each of the 10 families of these gallant young men and women will receive a token monetary compensation of N5m.

“You may wish to proceed directly from this meeting to the NYSC secretariat as I have directed the Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Ismaila Tsiga, to pay out this money immediately.

“In addition, each of the families which has an unemployed graduate who is a direct sibling of the deceased could forward the names of such persons to the Director-General for processing automatic employment in the Federal Civil Service.

“With regards to those who suffered varying degrees of injuries, additional to my earlier directive that the state governments take charge of their medical bills, the Federal Government hereby guarantees each of them automatic employment on completion of their national service.”

Noting that the monetary compensation was not enough, the President said his gestures were “not meant to compensate for the lives lost or for disabilities suffered.”

He described their deaths as tragic and vowed that perpetrators of the post-election violence would not go unpunished.

Jonathan said, “Let me seize this opportunity to state in the clearest terms possible that this administration is resolved to ensure that all those who may have been directly or indirectly responsible for this national tragedy face the full weight of the law.

“The culture of impunity must stop in this country. Tomorrow (today), I will formally inaugurate the Fact-finding Committee which will undertake a thorough investigation of the unfortunate incident.

“I want to assure you that those found culpable will be brought to justice.”

The President enjoined all Nigerians to honour the memory of the dead NYSC members by rededicating themselves to the peace and unity of the country.

The dead NYSC members whose families were represented at the meeting are, Adewunmi Seun Paul (Ekiti); Ukeoma Chibuzor (Imo); Ukazeoma Chukwunonyerem (Imo); Oladele Tosin (Kogi); Ibrahim Sule (Kogi); Gbejo Akintunde (Osun); Adeniyi Jelil (Osun); Anyanwu Agnes (Imo); Okpokiri Obinna (Abia); and Adohe Elliot (Bayelsa).

Speaking on behalf of the families, Mr. Atuche Okpokiri expressed regrets that the NYSC and other relevant authorities did not get in touch with them in time to inform them that their children had been killed in the riots.

“Communication was nothing to write home about; most of the families did not know anything about the death of their children until several days later”, he said.

Okpokiri also told Jonathan that some of the families were denied transport fares for the trips to Abuja by NYSC offices in their states.

Calling for a review of the NYSC scheme, Okpokiri stressed that “no compensation would be meaningful until the perpetrators are brought to book.”

He urged the President to ensure that “this sacrifice which these children have done should be the last sacrifice towards the enthronement of democracy in Nigeria and the unification of the country.”

Meanwhile, the Presidency has described as “unfortunate and regrettable”, reports that the Congress for Progressive Change justified the killings of the NYSC members.

It said in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ima Niboro, on Tuesday that the CPC action amounted to an open admission that its supporters were indeed behind the violence.

The statement reads in part, “This attempt by the CPC to justify the unfortunate carnage and bloodletting is vexatious in the extreme.

“It amounts to rubbing salt on the raw wounds of families who lost dear ones, and those who were maimed and lost valuable property to the carnage.

“It also amounts to an open admission that the party’s supporters were indeed behind the violence, and that the party may well have planned it all.

“Obviously, therefore, the riots couldn’t have been as a result of the conduct of the presidential elections in those areas where the bulk of the killings took place.

“The CPC justification of murder and arson must be condemned by all. It is wicked, callous and insensitive.”

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Has Shown He Can Be Trusted! So He Still Gets My Vote by xremmy(m): 3:54am On Apr 11, 2011
The reason why Nigeria is not growing is so obvious. Its not about the government, but the sentiment ridden perceived/artificial intelligence of its populace. The comments here are just too shallow for any real or deep reasoning to be achieved.

Let me lay down some facts that is driving the way politics is going in this country
1, Would GEJ or any south south citizen be anywhere close to been the president of Nigeria if not for the cunny moves of OBJ in 2007?
2, Would the NIger Delta miltants have stopped their bombing of oil facilities if not for the fact that they were begining to have a sense of belonging to the country Nigeria.
( Nigeria was producing 1.4 miliion barrels per day in the days of active militancy as against the 2.3 million bpd that the budget was projected at. Which means if something drastic had not been done, then the government would have collapsed soon as the reserves were depleted as we have no other major source of income.)
3, Is zoning a logical reasoning when it was obvious that the region providing for the nation since 1976 would always be exploited and never be catered for under any arrangement that does not involve them.
4, Why did bombing of non oil facilities start after GEJ became president? And all the time that we were been held by Turai and her cabal, the country was super quiet and peaceful.
5, Why is the SSS worried over the sudden quiteness of the Militants in this election period.
6, Why is shell, with all the connections they have in Nigeria government according to wikileaks divesting their holdings in Nigeria?
7, Would the international community care a hoot about Nigeria if there was no oil?
8, Would bombings start again and oil production drop if GEJ does not win?

GEJ is handicapped based on the permutations that brought him into power. Has he done well in the circumstances? I believe so. Could he have done more? Most definately. But with allthe different forces at play in this country, I give him a pass mark so far.

Rome was not and cannot be built in a day.

Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudasiru (1945 - 23 September 2003) was a Nigerian officer who was appointed Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria, holding office between January 1984 and August 1986 during the military regimes of General Muhammadu Buhari and his successor General Ibrahim Babangida.

[1]As governor, he continued the work of his predecessor Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande in improving schools infrastructure and the standards of teaching. He also introduced improved measures to keep the streets clean and orderly.[2] He attempted to ban street traders, but without success.[3] He set up committees to review the Lagos Metro line project initiated by Jakande, which recommended going ahead with the project, but it was cancelled on the orders of the head of state, General Buhari.[4] After a major fire devastated the Oko-Baba area of Ebute Meta, Mudasiru initiated construction of a medium Income Housing Estate.[5] After he left office, construction of schools ceased and existing buildings were no longer maintained.

PoliticsRe: Buhari, Ribadu, Shekarau Pull Out Of BON Debate by xremmy(m): 8:57pm On Mar 24, 2011
I strongly believe thr trio of buhari, Ribadu and Shekarau are making a mistake by boycotting this debate.

1, GEJ is the incumbent and they are all contenders, they have to always look for ways to get at him even if it means to swallow their pride. Defending champions get to chose who they fight and when they fight.

2, Seriously, BON has a wider coverage than NN24, nairaland and shara reporters put together. What should be upmost on their minds is to look for ways to garner more votes to themselves by every opportunity available at their disposal.

3, GEJ is a sitting president, and no matter the explanation or excuses offered by his team for missing the NN24 debate, he still has a master stroke excuse. He still has the job of governing  Nigeria. If he believes there are pressing national issues he has to attend to than going for a debate, then he has his reasons (but an apology and explanation to that effect would have been appropriate)

Politics don't play fair here. We can see what is already happening in the states between the parties. So you never bring a knife to a gun fight and complain when beaten. You beat the at their own game.
