I wonder why some people are always so sentimental and unwilling to learn, Sanusi has done a great job and pls lets not write off the fact that this trouble started a long time ago and soludo did nothing about it.
Someone said they should let stakeholders provide money to take over the banks, pls let me ask who are the stakeholders? the same dangote and co who put these banks in this situation. incase you dont know all Nigerian banks posted a loss in their year end result with Bank 'car will run on water' phb stunnin us all with a loss of over 480bn Naira and madam 'stallion of d bankin industry' oceanic with over 400bn Naira, Please lets cut the sentiments, these banks cant survive if they dont make strong moves. When the whole wahala started with the first 5banks, dey said the bailout money is over 1.3trillion naira only God knws how much it will be now and who wants to provide that kind of money when the country's budget is barely 3trillion naira.
Someone also asked wht the money given the banks was meant for, my dear the money's for customers like u and me so we can go to ur banks, write a cheque and get money ou. Its not for them to recapitalise,
Pls lets be realistic, reasonable and shun sentiments. The banks were close to their doom,

Hi guys, i have a huge problem and i dont knw if there's a way out. I am usually charged N15 for sending txt msgs outside nigeria including ireland which is normal but from August 2009 till date, i'm always charged N100 yes One Hundred Naira per sms (160 characters) for sending txt msgs to ireland. I've called the customer care and i hear the same story 'i will make sure they work on your line' and nothing's has been done to it and the most annoying thing's that sometimes the message doesn't get delivered.
Pls, is there a way out i'm even thinking of pressing charges against them, Anybody inhouse that can help will be appreciated,

@poster, wateva d idea is nd i guess its a VAS (Value Added Service) i think u shuld first sell it to some of the VASP (VAS Providers) like mtech nd co, then u guys ll enter into a contract but dere u have to be reli smart or even get a lawyer den u do d sharing formula in most cases dey take more of d profit though den if d service reli works nd its cool, u cn tk it 2d networks nd m veri sure if d service's cool u wnt wnt to sell cos that ll b ur meal ticket,

Think about desktop applications, web applicatios nd all that e.g you can wite a mini test engine. I wont advice you start with web applications cos you need all the JavaSE you cn get,
A mini test engine which ll register students nd maintain a student list, list of system users, a module for uploading the test questions to the database, the the test engine itself which is pretty easy, you just need to b creative nd crazy;

Remember no programmer sells his/her first app for a buck,

Nice post but dont reli understand, Do you want to build an Sms gateway or you want to build an Sms application that connects to the normal sms gateway which is SMPP 3.4,
