I understand your plight; that you dread to be left alone and that's the reason you've tried in vain to conjure theories to sell your propaganda.

In all your search for knowledge, understand that self-defence is a fundamental right. So your assumptions on the right of a people to self-determination is null, void and of no effect.

Never mind, you can begin to consolidate on OduaArewanistan republic where you're most needed as loyal subject.

A legitimate agitation by a people for a simple referendum is no way a crime. Resorting to cheap propaganda of unreasonable theories and reeling out old time war tales with video clips and pictures reeks of hypocrisy and only meant to divert attention from the crust of the matter to the subterranean.

80% of kidnapping took place in the east, Cultism is always a brag among easterners go check ESUT, UNIPORT, FUTO even amongst indigenes and locals it is a way of life. 45% of ritual killings was in the east not to mention baby factories and rapes which is everyday news

There's virtually no week that passes by without one yoruba person or Alfa being caught red - handed in ritual-killing. The Yorubas are the mostfettish, juju-dented beings in the world.

Yorubas shamelessly deploy juju and their fetish charms at work, play, church, market etc.
A typical yoruba person rarely believe that one can achieve success in life without resort to ritual killings. Yorubas are notorious ritual killers, kidnappers, cannibals and human parts merchants.

If you are sincere you will remember the popular event about a RITUALIST den called SOKA in Ibadan, Oyo State, South-West of Nigeria. Innocent lives are being wasted and sacrificed on the altar of ritualism and barbarism.

The fact that Yorubas are the founding fathers of crimes in Nigeria cannot be overemphasised.

From the statistics above:
11 of the drug dealers were Yorubas
5 were Igbos
3 were Edo.

osisi5 post:
I've heard this Igbo this, Igbo that too many times and it's plain annoying.
This old article may throw some light.
Nigerians commit crime and the criminals are from all the tribes.

One of the earliest known cases of drug abuse involving a Nigerian was the fate of one Iyabo Olorunkoya, who was sentenced to jail in the 1970s following an attempt to smuggle marijuana into the United Kingdom.

In the mid-1980s, during the General Mohammadu Buhari-led regime, two Nigerians, Messrs Wahab Ojuolape and Bartholomew Owoh as well as a third victim were executed under a peculiar decree drawn to take retroactive effect. Curiously, even this law and other draconian measures devised to deter drug traffickers, appeared insufficient, for about that same period, one Morenike Fausatu Lawal almost made it into history books as the first woman to be killed by firing squad for drug trafficking in Nigeria. Then came the Gloria Okon saga, where a suspected drug courier believed to have died in prison custody, ressurected overseas.

The Nigerians so far caught for terrorism outside of Nigeria are all Yorubas with the exception of the Christmas bomb guy from the North. The alqueda bomb maker from Nigerian was Yoruba. The UK Nigerian girl that moved to Middle-east to join ISIS and is known for recruiting more members for ISIS is Yoruba. The two young men that hacked down the British police officer were Yorubas.

Ask yourself why are Yorubas filling up FBI list for fraud? And pretty soon they have started filling it up for terrorism too.

Obasanjo had 11 years to “do the needful” but failed Nigeria – Ameh Ebute October 21, 2014 at 10:30 am in News
By Henry Umoru
ABUJA- FORMER Senate President, Senator Ameh Ebute yesterday took a swipe at former President Olusegun Obasanjo, saying he failed to use his three years as a Military Head of State and eight years as an elected president to do the needful in solving the nation’s problems, just as he said if the former president had done his best in addressing some of these sectoral problems, Nigeria would have been better for it.

According to Senator Ebute, former President Obasanjo could not fix critical roads like the Benin-Ore road; Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; Kano-Maiduguri road; the East West Road, just as he said that even his Otta-Abeokuta dual carriage were recklessly abandoned and could not be fixed in all his eight years as President, despite having more oil money from the Petroleum Ministry over which he personally superintended as President and oil Minister. Why should a President double as the Petroleum Minister of a country?

Despite the pseudo-president Yorubas had in the person of Obj who more or less kowtowed to the whims and caprices of his slave masters, do the average Yoruba person have better welfare than the Igbo person? NO! The Igbo Nation prides itself as having the highest concentration of middle-class citizens while squalor and penury pervade the Yoruba enclave.

In terms of education and enlightenment, the SW has the highest record of illiteracy compared to other Southerners. Of what advantage is then the much taunted free education by Awolowo?

Performing governors and political appointees or not self-determination is an inalienable right of a people. Exclusively hyping on performance of selected politicians as the antidote to the quest of a people to self-determination at this critical moment is simply diversionary and mischievous to state the least.

This argument seems to be predicated on the premise that other governors and politicians are doing excellently better than their SE counterparts. And that is totally false and amounts to a campaign of calumny.

Which of other governors performed creditably better than Chime Sullivan, Peter Obi or Chris Ngige vis-a-vis the available funds at their disposal?

Remember that after the civil war the federal government promised to rehabilitate and reconstruct the Eastern region but subsequent evil governments diverted Gowon’s 3Rs to other regions for neglecting and under-developing the Eastern region for deliberate obvious reasons.

The infallible truth is that the Nigerian system has been so designed to foist notorious crooks on the people and also frustrate credible people from performing.

Acknowledge the simple fact that Igbos fare better than most tribes even with their numerous looting of the commonwealth and great federal government presence. The Igbos have the highest concentration of middle-class citizens while squalor and penury pervade other enclaves. You can see the reality in the shocking manner many of your States are in comatose with many of its civil servants surviving on the good gestures of concerned Nigerians.

With the dwindling crude oil earnings Igbo States are the least affected largely due to the fact that their economy is not crude oil dependent. Fayose of Ekiti government had to send some of its citizens to the SE to learn a skill/trade in a bid to grow the economy of Ekiti State.

Strange bedfellows, with irreconcilable value systems that are at best suitable for the individual selves, are not meant to be together! The 102 years of existence attest to that verdict!

Victor Hugo once said "no army can stop an idea whose time has come" and that "one can resist the invasion of armies but not the invasion of ideas".

In the 90s, the NADECO's unlicensed and inciting Radio Kudirat was hitting the airwaves, did any of your elites condemn it?

Before the 2015 general elections, did you condemn the highly inciting Radio Chanji in the North?

Between Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani who makes lousy, provoking noise and propaganda using every available media outfit?

In the build up to the 2015 general elections certain people made careless and careless utterances thereby heating up the polity. Is any of them Igbo

The likes of FFK, Fayose, Fashola, Tinubu, Lai, El Rufai, Junaid Mohammed, Obj and Sahara Reporters who heated the polity with their utterances, is any of them Igbo?

Ever since you were born, have you seen or heard anywhere Igbos are on rampage, killing people and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause?

How many of your elites dare challenge the Hausa-Fulani-Kanuris or Yorubas for their unjust ways? How many of you dare counter the numerous killings and destruction of lives and properties that have been occurring for many decades in the North unabated?

The Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have over the century propagated despicable, hate speeches in their mosques and still execute the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt. And they now have the presidency while the backstabbing Yorubas vice-presidency! Such a misnomer can only happen in the jungle!

A number of hypocrites even go to the extent of carrying wicked lies about how Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have been peace-loving and accommodative; that it's the Igbos that always provoke their hosts in the North warranting the pogrom and other heinous crimes against the Igbos.
Yet in the same North and the Middle-belt the Christian minorities and other Southerners are maltreated, relegated to the background and even killed.

You say that Igbos are arrogant, and that they don't respect their hosts while you subtly proclaim that the Hausa-Fulanis are peace-loving and accommodative. You don’t like Igbos but you still fought and killed them to be in this fraudulent union where your likes are favoured by the injustice, inequity and lopsided arrangement in the polity.
And your people even had the effrontery to castigate Igbos for seeking a self-determination!

Many of you hold the view that Igbos should be grateful for being allowed to live in their part of the country, in the same 'One Nigeria'! You say Igbos disrespect and denigrate their host when Igbos choose to exercise their franchise right. And you don't seem to see anything wrong in Oba Akiolu's threat to drown Igbos in the Lagos lagoon if they fail to vote for his anointed candidate! The same threat was backed by many Yorubas including Dr Ariyo in the US who even called for genocide.

IGBOS HATE NOBODY EXCEPT YOU ARE A SWORN ENEMY TO TRUTH, JUSTICE AND EQUITY.
At the 2015 presidential election Igbos only exercised their franchise right just like other tribes.

If Igbos are the promoters of hate in Nigeria, can anyone tell us any instance where Igbos go about causing mayhem, killing and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause?

It's only mischievous bigots in the society that turn blind eye to the evil and injustice, and permit the atrocities to flourish in the land because they gain from the lopsided arrangement in the polity.

GENESIS OF HATRED IN NIGERIA

1* “We do not want our Southern neighbours to interfere in our development. We have never associated ourselves with the activities of these
people. We do not know them, we do not
recognize them, and we share no responsibility in their actions. We shall demand our rights when the time is ripe. If the British quit Nigeria now at this
stage, the Northern people would continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea”. - Sir Tafawa Balewa (1947)

2* “We the people of the North will continue our stated intention to conquer the South and to dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean after the British leave our shores.” - Sir Ahmadu Bello (1957)

3* "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father, Othman Danfodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future
- Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12,  1960

Ahmadu Bello, arrogantly uttered the aforementioned statement in a multicultural and multi-religious country and got away with it, and many bigots still hold him in high esteem and even shove it down the throats of other people.

4*
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WSosECbcmM

5*...barely six months after independence, Sir Ahmadu Bello was able to say with confidence in the Daily Times of May 3, 1961, the following:
I’m set and fully armed, to conquer the Action Group, AG, in the same ruthless manner as my grandfather conquered Alkalawa, a town in Sokoto province, during the last century.

6*...sometime in 2010, when upon the demise of President Umaru Y'Ardua, indications emerged that his erstwhile deputy, President Goodluck Jonathan, may contest the 2011 presidential election, a prominent chieftain of this same ACF, Lawal Kaita, who was a former Governor of old Kaduna State, threatened that the North would make Nigeria ungovernable, should Jonathan or anyone from the South win the 2011 presidential election, claiming that such would amount to denying the North it's birthright of ruling Nigeria.

7* It is in the same North barbaric statements like this were uttered in 2011:  ”BABOON AND DOG WILL BE SOAKED IN BLOOD”. And what was the outcome - carnage and murder of many Southerners and Christians in the North, including many Youth Corps members when Buhari lost the 2011 presidential election?

8* That true to that threat, upon the victory of Jonathan from the 2011 presidential election, massive violence was unleashed from the North by a group which called itself Boko Haram and which repeatedly took responsibility for unending mayhem which began with the killing of Youth Corp members who worked ad-hoc for INEC in that election.

9* As the barbaric killings and destructions reigned, especially with the attack by Boko Haram on the UN Building and Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Lower Niger Congress publicly posited that the nexus between the aforementioned threat by ACF's, Lawal Kaita and the Boko Haram's bloody campaigns summarily destroyed any prospects for keeping the Nigeria Union.

10* "It was, therefore, no surprise that in October 2013, following the bold announcement by President Jonathan, presenting the sudden prospect of revisiting the master-servant constitutional arrangements of Nigeria infuriated the warmongering born-to-rule Caliphate whose cause was championed by the same ACF, and who, supported by their allies from the renegade wing of the Yoruba Southwest,  launched a vicious, frontal attack on the initiative, teaming on the floor of the Conference into a majority, and driving the Conference into its first major decision, i.e. NOT TO DISCUSS THE TERMS OF NIGERIA'S UNITY. The rest of the Conference was a jamboree that provided a luxurious platform for the North/SW Alliance, parading itself as a new political party named APC, to fine-tune their violent March to the do-or-die 2015 general elections."

Pardon me Dude, I usually don't comment on tribalistic matters but i find this irresistible.

I will be surprised if you live in Lagos !. I marvel and wonder how people like you are able to remain so mono focused and myopic in thinking. In all this are you saying the Ibo Brothers are the only ones affected by this demolition? and have you been to Oshodi or better still robbed at Oshodi? Do you know how thieves , smokers and lowlifers hide in these shanties to perpetuate evil?

Are you aware the current governor was trying to be a people of the masses by reversing the urbanisation policies of the previous administration and he also lost grip of the state? Are you aware that as Africans the only language we understand is enforcement? No serious government will allow chaos and slums to thrive in urban areas?

I will like to know your comments on the demolition of

1. Ketu Fruit market
2. Mile 12 market
3. Oja Oba Ikorodu
4. Egbeda market

You see, tribalism is one of the monsters killing this country and I wonder how people are so wired to only see things from the tribal point of view. When thieves run out of these Oshodi market , rob and return , do they ask the victims if they are yoruba ibo or hausa or south south before they rob?

If you were the governor what would you do?...allow the slums to continue to deface the environment and also harbour miscreants?

For those of us with the Lagos spirit...we don't care your tribe but we respect constituted authority and we also know that some people are owners of the land.

Pleeease spare me!

Spare me your irrelevant talk of mischievousness.
If you had a sensible government this is the most honourable path of peace they should have towed:

Crownvillar:
... if the government did issue eviction notices, they should have gone a step further by publicizing this on the state radio, TV and any other means of communication via the State Ministry of Information.

For example, in Jan 2016, you decide that a market has to go. Go to the market and issue quit notice for say, the 6th June 2016. Carry along all traders and market leaders reminding them of the deadline. Publish this in the Newspapers and run regular reminders on the State TV and via radio jingles. On the June 6th, visit market again to remind them deadline has expired and demolition can start at any time. 7th to 9th June increase media campaign to remind anybody still trading there, that they do so at their own risk, as the deadline has expired. On the 10th June move in with bulldozers.

Of course, all of the above should be underpinned with a concrete plan beforehand for an alternative site where trading can be relocated to.

There's anomaly in the land but my grouse is that rather than build bridges, combine, harness and fight the political elites, we are all busy trading blames, tribalizing sensitive issues, doing stuffs that will always make those same guys who are Beasts of No Tribe to triumph over our collective agitations. Cant we for a moment just take responsibilities for all these mess? Must we always trade blames? Cant we rise beyond that sense of an Utopian society political sponsored individuals like OPC, MASSOB, MEND, ND Militants, IPOB, BZM, BIM, Boko Haram preaches?
Lets tell ourselves the blank truth: the former generations of our societies (knowingly or unknowingly) destroyed our generation and the best way to repair it are:
(a) We must accept the former generation err.
(a) We must accept that crimes are committed by Beasts of No Tribes that must be prosecuted.
(c) We must trade solutions rather than blaming.
(d) We must see that injury to one is injury to all.
(e) We must collectively damn those peddling Tribalism and hate speeches no matter who they are. Even if my parents wants me to hate anyone, I simply tell them no. Though, a while ago I acted foolishly by seeing myself as Tribesman first before I see myself as human being, I must say, I felt ashamed of myself on such. Now, I just pick the good the former guys said or did and throw away their folly. In all reality, No society or person ever prosper in blaming others or hates: a society only prosper when issues and not personalities or tribes are addressed.
(f) Let I and you preach for the restructuring of this tribe to True Federalism. As we give allegations about how one tribe or the other is maginalizing us on this forum, some Beast of No Tribes in the NASS are busy budgeting our Commonwealth in the tune of N4.6bn for purchase of a phantom committee allowance and when the president tried to blink an eye, he was shut down. Such our enemies, they are from the 36 states of the federation. Lets first of all channel our grievances to them. As they become more accountable, we can then move to the final route of restructuring our country. When two trees fall on each other, the uppermost must first be eliminated and that uppermost is holding those political leaders immediate to us ACCOUNTABLE.
The second is restructuring!

Your talk maybe laden with seeking peace but to aver that you and your generation have NEVER shared my crude oil money is playing to the gallery and simply being economical with the truth.

As a Yoruba man, every month your 6 States in the federation queue up to receive federal allocations. And as far as these your States are dependent on the dole outs from Abuja you, your parents, cousins, uncles or distant relations are equally beneficiary to the free allocations. Note that the source of the federal government revenue is majorly petro-dollars.

Now for your line of thought, check the various comments on NL emanating from your kinsmen. You can hardly find a handful of their comments not filled with hate, bitterness, curse and evil.
Take a look at this page: https://www.nairaland.com/2846885/tears-lagos-demolishes-oshodi-market
and see how your kinsmen revelled that a government in SW demolished shops belonging to mostly Igbo traders in an odd moment.

Freedom seekers seek freedom until it's achieved. They don't allow others define them to suit their interest and narratives, or permit the oppressors and abusers of human rights to teach them, the oppressed what human rights are. Once beaten twice shy, they say.

Lifestone:
Again you have refused to address the issues raised in my comments. I am proudly Yoruba and most of my best friends in my adult life have been of Igbo race.
My point here is to advise Nigerians whichever tribe you are to obey lawful government directives, and where you think your rights are not being respected, seek court protections.
Stop playing the victim

What has having Igbos as most of your best friends got to do with equity, justice and fair play?

When was the last time the government obeyed court orders in this country?

Stop being a hypocritical bigot with your diversionary tactics because your tribe thrives in evil, injustice, inequity and lopsided arrangement in the polity!
