PulseWeb:I'm recommending you for a senior support role at envato . Thanks again. |
PulseWeb:YESSSSSS!!! Oh crap! That must be it! Thanks a bunch man, I was about to hang myself... you just saved a life. ![]() |
PulseWeb:It doesn't show any error it just doesn't log me in, it like refreshes the page after I click sign in with a brief display of the sign in form. Are you logged in? |
PulseWeb:Yupp. Did that. And did that too. None worked. |
helenmi:Thanks for the book. |
Try http://freecodecamp.com/ too. It is a whole community of web devs. You get to learn by doing, there's a chatroom where you can share your problems and get instant feedbacks and you can also pair program where you share your screen with another person while you solve the same problem. Plus they have their own radio and TV "station". Ultimately you get to be assigned to a real NGO to build a real web app used by real people, that will surely boost your portfolio. Learning to code has never this fun. |
I recently signed up on the Envato Market. Unfortunately for me I haven't been able to login into my account since... not even once, talk more of making a purchase. I deleted cache, clear history, restarted browser, restarted computer, tried another browser, tried even the most hated IE8, nothing worked. I tried contacting support but they were excruciatingly slow in responding. I tweeted at them but they kept sending me links to their support section asking me to fill for a support id. I later read on their blog about reports from Malaysia and Canada from users who were having a DNS resolution problem, they promised they'd fix it soon but in the meantime they suggested adding an alternative public DNS server, I tried that and it still didn't work. The support lady from themeforest contacted me twice but none was really fruitful. Today after two days they seem to have completed forgotten everything about my complaint. Has anyone experienced (or is experiencing) a similar problem? What is the way forward? |
Mehn, that carousel tho the images keep alternating between large and small. I think for a website of 2015 it looks too 1999. Just my opinion tho. Honestly I wasn't even expecting it to be responsive and there, it was. It's functional and it works and if they like it then cool. Weldone. |
You said you're good with HTML5, I suppose bootstrap won't be much of a problem you should be up and going in two days. There are tons of sweet, totally sexy templates, both free and premium that you can easily use for your project and finish it in two, three days. Try http://themeforest.net/ for some really need templates and just google "free bootstrap HTML templates" for free ones. |
I can design your site for free as long as you buy hosting and domain yourself. Hit me up at yahayaaluke@gmail.com and you can get it before the week runs out. |
Thanks for the post IamGodzilla. It is really helpful indeed. I've been hearing a lot of fuss about Ruby on Rails, a senior friend who works in the IT industry told me that it will be the dominant server-side language of so I was a bit surprised that it didn't even make the list . Do you think Ruby on Rails deserves a spot on the list? I'm kinda knew to web development and I don't have all the time in the world so I don't want to waste my time learning something that will so be deprecated if you know mean. What do you advised and focus on learning in the backend department? And also I visited you app nowehere.io It is really cool. I think it's all about mentorship in development and I'm excited about the idea, and while obviously fully functional and aesthetically appeal, I think it is still rather basic. Do you have plans on working on expanding its functionalities? In another news, I'm looking for mentorship as I have a lot of questions and would appreciate relevant guidance in this big, exciting coding world, can you please be my mentor? |
YourMain:Dey dull yourself. What do you think "bush meat" is? |
YourMain:Mind your language young woman. That's somebody's meal. |
