OP... You're wasting your time...
.
.
Buhari care most, when it has to do with his fellow herdsmen murdered, but Care less when fulanis are the ones killing.
.
.
Buhari will do everything within his reach to ensure that justice is conceive if any fulani or hausa is carelessly murdered. But right now, the killings there at Plateau will drag his attention if christians fight back.
.
.
Buhari fought to become a president just to give the fulanis a good leading... The rest 5% means nothing to him.

Laughably, you are the one that is in error here. This is what is expected to transpire as demanded by ethics of the profession: Ask the lady to herself call or give the contact details of who she wants to come. Of course he would have sought the consent of the patient on revealing her ailment to the guy or to anyone for that matter (asides hospital staff who are already in the know). When the guy comes and insists on knowing the ailment, the doctor simply tells him she had a case of "acute abdomen" (the doctor has not lied) that required a minor surgery/procedure and that she is currently out of it and doing fine. Believe me, that will be enough to put the guy's agitation to rest. Of course if he demands explicit description to know what he is about to pay for, then the doctor may counsel the lady on full disclosure since the guy is the only one available for her at that moment to handle what her treatment incures.

Please note that maybe morally, you may question the doctor's approach, but ethically and legally, he is on the right path and that is what makes patients to have the confidentiality of full disclosure to their doctors which always help in management. I bet you wouldn't like your hospital case file to be freely accessible to anyone no matter how minor your ailment is.

And note that should the physician disclose her case to the guy without her written consent, she has every right under the law to sue the doctor and hospital for damages. The doctor also risk losing his practicing licence for unprofessional conduct.
.
.
The OP in summary explain what transpired between him and the doctor. I wouldn't want to go into much assumption on what the OP might have done to get the full information from the Doctor whether the Doctor had seek the consent of the girl before relaying the information to the OP.
.
.
That aside, this isn't the case of "ACUTE ABDOMEN"... The is the case of "OVER BLEEDING" after a D&C. It's as a result of Uterine Injury during the abortion process. This is an abortion. Many of these abortion mistakes always lead to a lot of future crisis such as infertility, complete womb damage, cyst, etc. Many times when a doctor attends to a woman.
.
.
The doctor did nothing wrong to relay the information to the guy, priory to the discussion he had with the girl.

This isn't about "rights"... It's about life.. If you're a doctor or an interns partner... One of the ethics of a doctor on duty is to seek for the consent of the extended family of a patient, depending on how severe the case might be.
.
.
Note that the OP gave a summary of his conversation with the Doctor. In an actual sense, you will agree with me that the doctor must have asked him many questions before relaying the information to him. You should know this if truly u practised med. surg.

No sir, as long as the patient is over 18, he alone can decide who should know about his health status. I have attended to people who are hiv+ and their spouse know nothing about it. im bound by ethics not to reveal it to their spouse unless they tell me to.
.
.
You don't even sound like a medical student...less talk about a doctor or an interns partner..
.
.
Because a patient is above 18years, then the doctor will have to go and ask the patient under an emergency treatment to give a list of people she wants them to know her secrets? Did u consider that she did a D&C and which is common between bf and gf...?
.
.
Brother, the doctor did the right thing and as the OP instituted, he paid off the bills and leave.. He couldn't have paid the bills without knowing what he's paying for.

Politics › Re: Corruption Ongoing Under Buhari – PDP by yanabasee(m): 10:26pm On Sep 03, 2015
The almight saint party... APC..
.
.
I would likely want to take my time to elaborate every words written down by Metuh for those who keeps whimpering "WAILERS" as I've come to noticed that APClowns are one lazy readers... And many of their fellowers are just blind by the national vicissitude that has started months before GEJ gave up the incumbency to the Dauran-slowpoke.
.
.
Metuh made some copacetic point that many of us have blindly refused to compehend assimilate..
Firstly, he said...:
“Every discerning mind knows that this
administration is not executing a credible holistic
war against corruption because it is a product of
corruption, surrounded by corrupt persons; a
factor apparently responsible for its obvious blind
eyes to huge sleazes now being perpetrated in
government agencies by persons claiming
closeness to the President.”
.
.
It's not a news that many APC members who took to heart, the campaigning and voting of the Dauran-slowpoke into the presidency has been highly rewarded and as such been so close to Buhari and they've been of late acting above the law and the constitution governing Nigerians. For instance... There are signs that the former Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi is not ready to honour the probe process to be commenced by the Justice G Omereji commission which was set up to examine his administration. What would give him such a morale to disregard the law, is Amaechi above the law? All this is happening becoz Amaechi has Buhari by his right hand. And Buhari isn't saying anything about it because his houseboy, Amaechi is involve.
.
.
Secondly, Metuh inscribed that:
........ its adamant stance to run a government without the statutory components of a full cabinet, thereby creating loopholes for APC’s interests to invade key government agencies for inflated concessions, allocations, jobs and other financial sleazes.
.
.
There have been a lot of loopholes in this administration of late... The news about this administration uncovering looted funds was way-back very possible as we were informed that the Dauran-slowpoke had pleaded with the US president Obama and he had given him his words that he'll help and uncover the $150 billion that was starched in foreign accounts. But of late, we've been told that it's not possible to retrieve the said money "if at all" there is such money to be retrieved. This is just one sided financial sleazes that has been going on in this administration.
.
.
Metuh said,
“How else can one explain the
deliberate constitutional violations in the
appointment of heads of financial handling federal
agencies; such as the Federal Inland Revenue
Service and the Asset Management Cooperation of
Nigeria without due process of ministerial
consultations and legislative clearance, as the case
may be?
.
.
There are limits to what a Permanent Secretary can do, especially when dealing with foreign affairs. But yet, we've been fully blinded to believe that without the financial minister that the country has duly been stable and moving when the APC cronies are looting the country dry, holding that there is no minister of finance. “No one seems to know and the public have not been briefed on the implementation of the 2015 budget. And no one seems to be in charge of the
preparation process of the 2016-2018 Medium Term
Expenditure Framework and the 2016 budget, ’’ Without the finance minister

It's becoming very obvious that Buhari doesn't have any clue whatsoever as to solving this Boko haram issue. I don't see any particular positive achievement he has gained so far in this direction that GEJ didn't do even better. Let it be known to Buhari that the votes he got from the 5% zone were majorly because of this Boko haram issue. So if he can not do something tangible about it,then all his so-called fight against corruption are naught, and his frail a*ss will be gladly kicked back to Daura with shame.
.
.
Because GEJ gave up the incumbency easily, doesn't mean Buhari will do likewise!... His appointments so far has proven his set plans for the next four years and also.... Quite a number of northerners on this forum still support their brothers and the foolish SW are still singing his praises.... So please, Buhari isn't a democrat...he's a dictator and a tyrant... His likes kills to become a president...and will do everything to remain there forever!...
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Attacks Borno Village On Horseback, Kills 68 by yanabasee(m):

I agree that businessmen and corporations have as much if not more responsibility on developing Nigeria.
.
.
And now Buhari probes politicians... And reduces cash flow as well as influencing people. This intimidation will not just make things worst but will drive away many who had earlier tot of building good houses in Nigeria.
.
.
My little psychological observation is that.... For this country to be developed, Buhari must build roads... And provide standard electricity. Roads accros villages and good drainages in many villages across the country.. Touching many homes where business men will want to erect business around their homes by making transportation easy from home or place of business.
.
.
Thiz roads shouldn't be centered to major cities or major vilages. But to ALL villages... From town to town to other towns. The local government will pick it up by building local clinics and local schools and hospitals as well. And building boreholes as well.

Just have it in mind that for a country to be developed...That it doesn't have to be with the 'president' alone.

Many richest Nigerians derive pleasures to erect standard houses and assets abroad. This ppl help other countries to develope their country for them and leaving Nigeria for the government alone. Ndoma egba has refineries abroad and houses of high standards abroad. How about Tinubu? This people have houses in SouthAfrica and other well developed countries.. Even our musicians.
Until Nigeria change this mentality, there and then will this country be developed, and I pray that, by then our oil will still have value or it'll still be much coz as it seems, Nigeria in the next decades will not be Africas most riches oil producer as Cameron and Ghana have oils as well... And Russia and japan is rushing them.
