I know someone personally who's legally resident in Lagos, built a house there for over 30 years, he's well over 60, pays all taxes and land use charge etc, and registered with LASRAA, has the card and all but when time for this came, he was excluded. No SMS sent, nothing.

If what you stated above is true, the only reason he/she wouldn’t have gotten an Sms is only if he/she has changed phone number and the registered phone number with lasrra isn’t functional.

Must you always criticize every good gestures from the government. At least this is better than nothing. Those that were selected for this first phase are those that are on the database lagos state residents registration agency (60years and above).Let’s learn to give government credit when they deserve one.

Lagos state has an agency called Lasraa. The agency was set up during BRF administration and it was saddled with the responsibility of registering lagos residents. The registered residents on the data base of this agency is what is being used to distribute the food items starting with those who are 60years and above.

In UAE, one had to pay AED375 for the test (this is about USD101.68
Though the test is made free for pregnant women and those above age 65.

Also, you may Google to see how much the test costs in certain cities in USA. Health insurance may cover part of the cost in some places.
There are different billing modalities involved in different countries and locations.

God bless you. A lot of people have smart phones but yet still very dumb. A simple research using google would have given them an hint as to how expensive carrying out a test is.
