lexy2014: My first question to you was at 3:38pm. 4 hours later, you still haven't been able to answer my questions.
How come that a senior military officer like yourself that "knows Nigerian Military doctrine and traditions" can't answer simple questions but has to search the internet for answers to the questions of an "outsider" and "civilian"?
1. When was the new COAS appointed and decorated as a Lt. Gen?
2. Since you are in the military, pls identify the rank of the two men in the pix.
3. You should also tell me the law that says a new COAS automatically becomes a Lt. Gen. upon appointment.
Are you still searching the internet or you simply don't know the answers to my questions? I just replied you I get your time |

Since you are a senior military officer that "knows Nigerian Military doctrine and traditions", why are u having problems answering the questions I asked?
1. When was the new COAS appointed and decorated as a Lt. Gen?
On 19th June 2023 he was appointed Handing over was done a few days later (No two captains in a ship principle)
2. Since you are in the military, pls identify the rank of the two men in the pix.

Find below the official account of the Nigerian army The Nigerian Army itself is telling you he is now a Lieutenant General I told you he’s a Lieutenant General What proof do you need again if not that you just want to look right or argue what you don’t know? I suspect you’re one junior officer that thinks he knows Nigerian Military doctrine and traditions but you clearly don’t We cannot reveal ourselves online just for arguement sakes I for show you say I suppose know You go enter guard mess if you call your Chief a Major General All service chiefs are elevated to the equivalent of Lieutenant General AFTER appointment and the Defense chief becomes a full General according to Nigerian Military Tradition lexy2014: You haven't answered my questions.

Ordinarily, the lieutenant general rank is usually held by only the Chief of Army Staff which implies there is usually only one serving lieutenant general in the Army at a time but there have been some occasions where https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieutenant_general_(Nigeria) Google is your friend At hand over Buhari did not hand over to president Tinubu, he became after hand over. Same with Lagbaja Future decorations are merely ceremonial Also his position is Senate confirmed. That doesn’t mean just because he isn’t confirmed yet he hasn’t started walking in the shoes if not all his appointments are nonsense lexy2014: Where is the argument u referring?
Did you understand the simple question?
Since you have done your research, why can't you answer the simple question....When was the new COAS appointed and decorated as a Lt. Gen?
Since you are in the military, pls identify the rank of the two men in the pix.
You should also tell me the law that says a new COAS automatically becomes a Lt. Gen. upon appointment. |

Sis sissy is not the problem Here in the US we subsidize agriculture I’m sure you’ve heard of farmers pouring maize into the ocean The management of the economy is the problem The price of constructing a KM of road in nigeria is one of the most expensive in the world. Yet the labor is among the lowest paid in the world. There was a reason subsidy was introduced in the first place. So Nigeria’s prboblem is not subsidy but mismanagement nairalanda1: I assume nothing.
No matter how we reason the matter, subsidy was not sustainable
You don't have to like that fact. I don't. But here we are.
And it is high time that Nigerians held their leaders accountable |

If nigeria had removed the subsidy, you’re assuming the money would have been used for good Oil has been sold for $100, Abacha loot recovered, loans taken Have you seen the impact of all of that money? nairalanda1: Dang...a lot of people are suffering.
But the harsh truth is, at the end of the day, if the subsidy had not gone, if the government had kept subsides on petrol and power, well...
We would have been 'enjoying' and things would have been okay...until at the end of the day, in three years time, when the cost of subsidy is higher than our revenue, and we are borrowing money to make up the balance of subsidy payments, and borrowing for everything else...till IMF comes in and tells us that we can't pay for your addiction no more.
Then things would get really hard.
The way I see it, and I am not an APC fan, it is simple...we start taking hard decsions now, or we are forced to take harder decisions three years later, when IMF stops giving us loans.
One thing Nigerians need to wake up to is that the problem is not from who is in charge...although APC is a mess, it is the policy that those in charge , especially APC practice. We too dey rely on oil revenue...which cannot feed half our nation, talkless of one tenth. Meanwhile, looters and corrupt people come in and steal that tiny money
It is either we become more fiscally responsible, or we take more and more loans until we join Sri lanka and even Argentina at the bottom of the lake. And if you think you are suffering now...
God knows that if we removed subsidy in 2012, we won't be here by now. |
