LIAM, SACHWELL & GALAHAD better known as “LSG” is about to launch their ‘SMART INVEST APP’ a music, fashion, arts, entertainment & events app. The app will allow subscribers and users to stay abreast of LSG’s investment opportunities and options. It will let low value clients and subscribers who aren’t high income earners to make high value investments with little or no money. The app will also allow them be up to date with the latest music releases, upcoming sports, fashion, music and entertainment events. Subscribers and clients will be able to purchase any class of tickets to any musical concert or sports event, and give users daily current affairs and news updates as well.

While chatting with the CEO of LSG, Jordan Adler, he told our reporter that the launch of the app was a journey that began a couple of years ago. “We realized that lots of people especially millennials were often faint hearted when it comes to investments. A survey carried out by our in house team showed that millennials feel more comfortable doing a lot of e-commerce activities via apps, sometimes taking risks that they wouldn’t even consider face to face. We also discovered over 50s and retirees found it more convenient to do a lot of things using an app. Over 90% make use of their smart devices for sports betting, shopping, buying event tickets, ordering rides, watching movies, reading news stories and listening to music while on the go. The use of apps make all these activities easier to keep up with” he said.

“With apps and mobile devices, it’s now simpler to keep up with financial news and investment, upcoming events, your favorite artistes, new music, breaking news stories and other activities” said Jordan. He said, “gone are the days of hard copies and newspapers, bulky video machines, gaming consoles and/or big boom boxes to be able to listen to music. With an app you can do any of these things and more while you are on the go”. “The LSG smart invest APP is designed in such a way that even while offline you can still make smart investments and listen to music and once you get connected to a data plan or network, the app will update and your investment instructions will be applied” Adler revealed.

He said the app is currently in the beta testing phase and so is available to only a select few. “Beta testing is necessary to enable our engineers fine tune any glitches and correct any hiccups that might delay or cause issues once the app goes fully live. So that users will have a smooth experience without hitches. It will also provide us with valuable information to improve and/or upgrade the app where necessary” he stated. He however promised the app will become available to all by the end of November .

Obi ‘Blinx’ Okolie has alerted us that after several singles he is getting set to release his first official album, an Extended Play (EP) album. Obi better known by his stage name “BLINX” is a South African based Nigerian artiste.
Blinx said the project titled “PAIN, SUFFERING & SACRIFICE” (PSS) is a seven (7) track album plus a bonus track (Lemon Pepper freestyle) featuring 4 artists, local and international. Speaking on the phone with our correspondent from his base in Capetown, Obi informed that he is currently working on shooting videos for tracks off the EP and some visual impressions will be dropping soon.

The EP a collective effort with a couple of producers and sound engineers working together features artistes like Yung6ix, CTN, Pow and Doe Billz. “It will be available for my fans and good music lovers on all digital platforms upon release” said Blinx. “My Whole EP is ready, I just want to finish shooting the videos for a couple of songs before dropping it” he reiterated.

“I am also planning a pre-release listening party via my Instagram live so that my fans and followers will have the opportunity and privilege of listening to the album first before the mass public” he stated.

“I also have my first studio album in the works and this EP is just a forerunner that will be used to create hype and awareness for my official debut album” Obi says. The album which is still untitled, we learnt will be released almost immediately after the EP.

Ehite ‘Bella’ Asfaw Launches An Abuse & Domestic Violence Support group
Ehite ‘Bella’ Asfaw has launched a Domestic violence and abuse initiative aimed at supporting and providing shelter and safe space for people who have suffered domestic violence, especially women.



Bella said the initiative will also tackle other African social issues including but not limited to interracial relationships, me too issues and outdated cultural practices like female genital mutilation.
She says this support group was borne out of the need to empower and support women who are mostly the victims of these abusive practices.



“The support from the Ethiopian community has been overwhelming and even though the main aim was to act as a support group, I want to broaden our objectives and targets. So far I have funded this initiative with own my finances, and I am currently seeking corporate partners to help finance and expand the initiative” Ehite said.

Bella is also making plans to visit Ethiopia next year with aim of promoting her initiative and helping women who suffer domestic violence.
She said studies have shown that domestic violence and other abusive behavior increased more during these months if the COVID pandemic lockdown. Explaining further, she said the lockdown measures put in place to prevent the spread of covid 19, has forced lots of schools and businesses to either close down or furlough their workers so a lot of families were at home so tempers and irritations become heightened due to this.

Canadian based Erika ‘PR Diva’ Enyolu is a Program Director at Afro Centre For the Arts. Right before Christmas and into the New Year, Erika and the Afro Centre team will select 40 families in need and distribute $50 gift cards weekly per family for grocery shopping including supplies of PPE (hand sanitizers, masks & gloves).

According to PR Diva, the target is to make these deliveries within 12 weeks to hard hit families in Toronto. The team will also hold weekly virtual Zoom conversations about mental health and well-being with professional speakers in the creative and non-profit sector as a way of uplifting and empowering the community on how to deal with depression and mental health in this pandemic period. The program is funded by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund led by Employment and Social Development Canada and the Canadian Red Cross Society (“CRCS”).

Secondary schools in the country are to reopen as from the 4th of August, 2020 for exit classes only, the Federal Government has disclosed.

Senator Godwin Akpabio who is the current Minister of NDDC spent 300 million naira on fence in 2017.
The then Senate minority leader and member of Niger Delta Development Committee (NDDC), Godswill Akpabio reportedly spent over N425 million in 2017 for the development of Niger Delta. He carved out the above figure solely for the development of his senatorial district .

In a detailed memo, Godswill Akpabio explained how he spent 200 million naira to fence the Federal Polytechnic Ukan – AkwaIbom North West Senatorial District.


He spent 100 Million naira to fence Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene, 75 million for entrepreneurship training and 50 million to renovate a one hostel facility at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus.
