Former manager and elder brother of now-defunct duo P-Square, Jude Okoye, has said it’s none of his business if his twin brothers Psquare reunite as a music duo.

Jude revealed this during an Instagram Live chat with blogger, Tunde Ednut on Sunday.

He also claimed that P-Square’s split, which happened in 2017, was instigated by Peter Okoye, who had issues with him.

Jude, who revealed that he had stepped aside as manager up to five times, made it clear that he had tried everything humanly possible to settle the rift.

“Peter has a problem with me. I have asked him several times what the problem is but he refused to say. How can I bring P-Square back when I’m the one they don’t want in the picture?

Canadian rapper, Drake has finally tried out his exotic backyard pool for the first time since moving into his new mansion.

The rapper showed off his expensive swimming pool over the weekend and revealed it would the his first time of setting his eyes on it.

In an Instagram story on Saturday, the Toronto local shared a video of his colossal outdoor swimming pool, while explaining that it was the first time he’d ever used it.

A terrible news broke out of Kenya as a 30-year-old man  has reportedly sealed off his wife’s private part with super glue.

The suspect identified as Kifo Muriuki had accused his wife of infidelity before luring her to Kathita River, where he threatened to kill her if she refuses to abide by his orders. He then added pepper, salt and onions in his wife’s private parts using a sharp knife, before applying superglue mixed with sand to ‘seal’ it off.

The suspect who has been on the run since Saturday May 16 when he committed the heinous act, was arrested at his hideout in Kaningo, Kitui County by a combined team from Directorate of Criminal Investigations Tseikuru, Special Crimes Unit and DCI Tharaka South.

Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations tweeted;

“30-Year-Old James Kifo Muriuki, who on 16th May, 2020 horridly dehumanized his wife, has this morning been arrested from his hideout at Kaningo in Kitui County by a combined team of @DCI_Kenya Detectives from Special Crime Unit, DCI Tseikuru and DCI Tharaka South.”

The Lagos State government has revealed the fight against coronavirus has moved to the active community transmission stage where simple COVID-19 cases will be managed at home.

The state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, in a discussion on Instagram on the effects of COVID-19 on the health care system.

Abayomi revealed that the attention of the state has now been shifted to community based isolation. In his words,

“We have exceeded the containment phase now. We are at the active community transmission stage. We will be concentrating on people with severe cases and isolating them, while mild cases will be managed at home. Our attention is shifting to community based isolation,” the commissioner tweeted.

The state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said they had all been reunited with their families.

“This brings to 649 the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos,” he added.

World Health Organization has now started testing COVID-19 vaccines in Nigeria.

WHO Representative in Nigeria, Fiona Braka, confirmed this while addressing the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja on Monday.

According to Braka, the testing is ongoing in other countries and it is only a step in the right direction. She insisted that the trial is with already existing drugs and not with new drugs.

In her words, “The solidarity trial is a large multi-country effort that is going on across several countries globally. We are picking up on that trial in Nigeria. Some states have started while some are yet to start.

“These are not new drugs that we are trying but drugs that we already have available but are simply being repurposed for the intention of determining their effect on Coronavirus. We will keep you updated on what the timeline for the vaccine will look like. But we are still early in the process in collection of the data,” Braka said.

Two governors has reportedly tested positive to coronavirus on Tuesday.

This was confirmed in the tourist hotspot of Rio de Janeiro and the Amazon rainforest state of Pará in Brazil, making them the latest leaders to test positive to coronavirus.

The governor of Rio, Wilson Witzel revealed in a recent video that  he requested for a test after having fever and sore throat.

Witzel visited a hospital later on Tuesday, where he was undergoing tests to see if he needed to be hospitalized, staffers in his office said.

Pará Governor Helder Barbalho, in a social media post, said he had also tested positive after members of his staff came down with the virus, although he had no symptoms.

Both governors called for people of their states to obey home shelter guidelines to avoid spreading the virus.

“I ask you once again to stay at home. As everyone can tell, the disease doesn’t make exceptions for anyone and the contagion is fast,” Witzel said.

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has exonerated Rivers State governor, Barr Nyesom Wike from the blames in the demolition of two hotels in the state at the weekend.

Nnamdi Kanu in a press statement, signed by the publicity secretary of the group, Emma Powerful blamed the owners of the hotel for flouting the lockdown order. He said the governor was only trying to protect his people.

Kanu said, “We must understand that operators of that very establishment risked the lives of thousands of people in Rivers State and beyond.

“Potentially, they could have brought infections and death to thousands of people, either through Coronavirus infected Almajiri or by inadvertently providing accommodation to Fulani killers streaming into our towns and villages from the North.

Kanu, however, lamented that such demolition which was generating comments from all quarters had been done by the present governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai while he was still the minister of federal capital territory, and nothing happened.

“When El-Rufai was busy terrorizing and pauperising thousands of Biafran businessmen by demolishing their hotels, bars, restaurants and homes in Abuja, some of the raging hypocritical voices of righteous indignation we are hearing today were never heard.

“They never uttered a word, nor made a sound because they were and still are afraid of the murderous tendencies of their Fulani masters who are still demolishing legitimate Igbo businesses in Abuja.”

Kanu’s, however, described Wike’s action as overreaching, saying, “l do not condone it because he went too far.”

Japan is on her way to defeating the coronavirus pandemic as the country makes plans to see to the approval of its first coronavirus antigen testing kits on Wednesday.
According to a health ministry official, the move is in line with the plan to boost the number of diagnostic tests available to battle the pandemic.

Fujirebio, a subsidiary of Japanese diagnostics and laboratory testing service provider Miraca Holdings, last month applied for government approval for its antigen kit.

So far, Japan has reported about 16,680 confirmed infections.

The Antigen tests scan for proteins that can be found on or inside a virus. They typically test a sample taken from a nasal cavity using swabs. The tests can detect the virus quickly but produce false negatives at a higher rate than the currently dominant PCR, or polymerase chain reaction, tests.

Japanese Health Minister Katsunobu Kato told parliament on Friday that antigen tests, once approved, will likely be used to supplement PCR tests.

Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina has slammed the World Health Organization for not endorsing its COVID-19 herbal cure.

Last month, the Malagasy president officially launched Covid-Organics (CVO), an organic herbal concoction, claiming that it can prevent and cure patients suffering from the novel coronavirus.

"If it were a European country which had discovered this remedy, would there be so many doubts,'' he said in an exclusive interview with France 24, Paris-based international television news network and Radio France International.

''The problem is that it comes from Africa. And they cannot accept that a country like Madagascar, which is one of the poorest countries in the world, has discovered this formula to save the world," he added.

The World Health Organization (WHO) had warned against the use of CVO without any medical supervision and cautioned against self-medication. The WHO further said that they have not approved the concoction for the patients suffering from COVID-19.

On Thursday, the WHO, however, has called for clinical trials of CVO.

"Covid-Organics is a preventive and curative remedy against COVID-19, which works very well," said President Rajoelina.

He attributed recovery of 105 COVID-19 patients in Madagascar to the herbal potion.

"A marked improvement was observed in the health of the patients who received this remedy just 24 hours after they took the first dose. The cure was noted after seven days, even ten days. This remedy is natural and non-toxic," he said.

Madagascar has donated CVO, which is claimed to cure the COVID-19 to several African countries.

Last week, the African Union in a statement said it is talking with Madagascar to obtain technical data regarding the safety and efficiency of the herbal remedy.

The All Progressive Congress,  Enugu State Chapter  has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to apologize  to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.

Yesterday, we reported that the apex court has exonerated Orji Uzor Kalu from all accusations of loot levelled against him the EFCC.  Reacting to this, the EFCC has vowed to see to the retrial of the serving senator and minority leader, Orji Uzor Kalu.

Today, the Chairman of the Party in the State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, said the former Abia Governor “deserves an apology from EFCC not a re-prosecution.”

While describing Kalu as “our leader, an Igbo icon”, Nwoye said “today, more than ever before, our trust in the Nigerian judicial system has deepened. It took the court to right the wrong of another court. This victory stands as a testimony that the court is indeed the last hope for both a common man and uncommon man.”

He added that “injustice to a common man is equally as painful as injustice to an uncommon man. We are happy to know that your determination has pulled you through. We are comforted by your exemplary determination to change the criminal justice system to ensure that no innocent person shall suffer unlawful incarceration in our nation.

“God has used five months of your productive and youthful life to expose over half a century decay in our criminal justice system. We thank God and we thank the learned jurists for giving you back your freedom.

“We respectfully demand that the EFCC should render an apology to you for wrongful prosecution. It is a time for deep reflection on the part of EFCC and not a time to make puffy statements regarding further prosecution. One wrong prosecution has already resulted in five months of unlawful incarceration.”

On plans by the EFCC to re-arraign the lawmaker in court, the Party Chairman said, “H.E Senator Kalu deserves an apology from EFCC not a re-prosecution.

“We respectfully request that EFCC should channel its resources to the prosecution of backlogs of other cases instead of engaging in vindictive repeat prosecution of an Igbo Icon.

“We are calling on the Senate and House Committee on Judiciary to investigate the facts and circumstances that led to the malicious prosecution and unlawful incarceration of Distinguished Senator Orji Uzo Kalu.

“The good people of Enugu State and indeed the entire Nigerian people would like to know how an Appeal Court Justice stepped down from his upper chambers and sneaked into a lower court room and handed out an unlawful criminal conviction against a serving Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The key question that begs the answer is, ‘was it a mistake or was it a political witchhunt?’ We fear that it is the latter.

“Once again, I and on behalf of the good people of Enugu State APC welcome back our hero. You are the Mandela of our time. Nigerian people look forward to enjoying the quality representation you brought in the red chamber.”

Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has kicked against the plan by the government to slash their salaries amidst the COVID-19 lockdown.

The union in his a speech by its President-General, Mr. Adewale Adeyanju says its members will not accept a pay cut from the management of any maritime company.

Adeyanju added that members of the union would not also accept the lockdown period as their annual leave.

He warned that any move to deduct the salaries, wages, allowances and downsizing of Nigerian workers at this time will be considered illegal and must be resisted, NAN reports.

“Most disheartening at this time is the attempt by some management to cut the salaries, wages and allowances of our members without any probable cause.

“On this matter, we stand with the Nigeria Labour Congress who has acknowledged that despite the known fact that workers produce capital, they are always relegated and at the receiving end.

”We also wish to bring to the public space, attempts by some management to cheat our members by forcing them to convert this lockdown period occasion to their annual leave.

“The union has been informed that some management have issued internal memos to this effect.

“We find it strange that workers will be subjected to punishment for a situation that is entirely out of their control and this we will resist within the ambit of the law.

“As labour leaders, we promise to continue to fight and jealously protect jobs, wages, income, and livelihoods of our members at this trying time.”

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), sends a plea to the President Buhari’s lead administration to pay workers as they are hungry.
The federal government had earlier ordered all workers above level 14 to resume work on Monday amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on Friday as NLC marks the 2020 May Day celebrations, Leonard Nkah, Ebonyi NLC Chairman, made the appeal to the government to release funds for the welfare of workers.

According to Nkah, prioritizing the welfare of workers will enhance their living standards and improve support to their families at this period of social and economic stress caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

He said that timely payment of salaries, remunerations and other palliatives would serve as boosts to enable workers observe all precautionary guidelines, regulations and directives that would keep them safe from the virus.

He said: “I appeal to the governments at all levels to kindly attend to the workers’ needs as a matter of urgency.

”Let them pay salaries and remunerations with every other package as a palliative to the workers to help them observe the guidelines such as the lockdown, sit-at-home directive, use of face masks and regular hand washing.

“As a leader who feels the pulse of the people, I can state unequivocally that workers are hungry and in dire need of food.

“That, it is only the provisions of food and welfare packages and the availability of such that can help both the workers and the government achieve a successful fight against the pandemic and win this war threatening our health and lives.”

Nkah urged workers to be resilient in the face of the pandemic, appealing to them to partner the government and other non-state actors in the fight against the deadly virus.

“All hands must be on deck and no one should feel less concerned as injury to one, is an injury to all.

“Even if you don’t have any other thing to contribute, I want you to be all out in enlightenment campaigns to help those who don’t understand what we are facing to understand and comply with every regulation, ” he said.

I Have Healed COVID-19 patients – Apostle Suleman responds to Witches who challenged him
Nigerian clergyman, Apostle Johnson Suleman has replied Leo Igwe, director of Advocacy for Alleged Witches (AFAW) who challenged him to treat just one COVID-19 or HIV patient and get a reward of $1,000.


Igwe, a doctoral degree holder in religious studies from the University of Bayreuth, wrote in an open letter to Suleman recently,

“I am challenging the founder of Omega Ministries, Apostle Suleman, to demonstrate his so-called gift of healing under agreed medical and scientific conditions. I ask Suleman to heal a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 and get a thousand US dollars. This challenge has become necessary because Apostle Suleman has in a recent video urged the government of Nigeria to allow him and other pastors with the gift of healing into the isolation centers so that they could pray and heal those who have been infected by the virus.”

Now, Apostle Suleman has taken to Twitter to respond to Leo Igwe’s challenge.

According to the President Trump, the United State has more coronavirus cases because of their testing ability. He said they have the best testing equipments in the world which is why they have a million coronavirus cases.
