Goodday friends, hope everyone is well. Please i have a question concerning immigrant visa, My mum & I were issued our immigrants visas last month, I was a derivative applicant, my mum being the main applicant but here is the issue, Originally, i wasn't the only derivative applicant of this visa case, My sister was also included, everything was going well but surprisingly, when we got our interview letter in July, her name wasn't included among those to be present at the interview, however we planned that when we got there we would make enquiry about it at the embassy. On the day of our interview, surprisingly my sister's name was in their file over there and while we were being screened before the main interview they asked for my sister, same thing happened when the visa officer came, she called my name, my mum's name and my sister's name but we explained to her that my sister didn't come because her name wasn't in the interview letter, she then asked if we would like her to come now or after, We said after, then after a few questions(we weren't issued our visa that day) because she asked for pictures of my mum with my sister when she was a kid, teenager & adult which we were ask to submit at one DHL office together with our passport which we did, then a few days later we were asked to come pick up the visa... Here is my question please, I tried to check our visa status on the embassy site and I & my mum's visa status have changed to "Issued".. But my sister's own is showing " Administrative processing ", please what does it mean?? I also read somewhere that administrative processing cases are usually resolved within 60days, but its been over 40 days now and we haven't heard from them, Should we write an email to them? Or is there any other thing needed to be done please??

Learn to exit right on time I must advise so you don't start getting on people's nerves unwittingly. Others may counsel you along this line if they have all the patience though!

Dear VO,can I cancel an application form and fill another form,thanks...and please how do I go about it?..this is the scenerio,I was just informed that the big cousin invited other people in which we should have applied in group because I didnt indicate that I am going without other persons,the big cousin has said he won't acknowledge I alone,that I should cancel the application and indicate that am going with out persons whereas he will be writing the embassy to notify them of those names he has invited.Thanks

if not ,can I make an explanation there,because,I don't want to seem desperate though,I know I can afford the cost,but how do I convinced the VO of my predicament.can I go with a bank statement?

He can fill out the field for his salary with the total combined income and then being sure to explain the full story at his interview. It would also be fine to fill out just part of the salary, but again explain the full story at the interview. The reason we do interviews is to get the full story, which doesn't always come out on a written application.

Have to put all earnings and I have submitted,I have a government job and I have a land I leased for farming and get 150k per monthly,am going for a visit/wedding anniversary of my big cousin..I only wrote 79k which is from my paid job(a Lagos state government), how do I rectify it...interview date is in January 19th 2018

Your cousins dad falls under immediate relative 5 ( IR5 ). You need the case number to check.

I believe your cousin filed an immigrant visa ( IR5 ) for the dad. With this kind of visa, it's the national visa center who's going to schedule an appointment for interview at an appropriate time for the dad.
So no need of filling the DS160 form or booking an appointment for visa. Everything will be done by your citizen cousin. And every approved petition, is assigned a case number, with the case number you can check the monthly visa bulletin, to have an idea when he his likely to be interview.

Your uncle in the US is celebrating his wedding anniversary. He invited you and three other relatives for the the anniversary and gave each of you letters. Now you applied independently of each other and have different interview dates.

You work as a senior accountant in the civil service and earn 79k monthly. However, you've been able to save 1.5m.

Basically you have 2 questions
1. Does it matter that he invited three other people... will it affect you in any way?
2. How do you convince the VO that you can afford the trip?

If I'm right... here's what I think

No one can tell you your chances of getting a visa.

Every individual is interviewed on their own merit. That's why a father and son will be interviewed and the father gets a visa but the son does not.

The most important thing is to show the VO that you have very strong ties in Nigeria. It could be your job, family etc.

Savings of 1.5M , earning 79k. How long did it take you to save 1.5m? So you mean you will spend your whole savings for years on a 10day pleasure and then start all over again? The VOs don't need to check your bank statement, self evaluate your self and maybe assume the VOs believe your account balance story , hmmmm bros/sis, "the obvious is obviously obvious"

Nooooooooo,I earn 79k which I wrote there and a 1.5m bank balance,how ll I convince the VO to check my statement.

I honestly don't know if 1.5m is enough to sponsor a trip to the US for four adults! It may not even cover the cost of tickets.

I have an explanation and clarification please....goes thus, the uncle gave us four (4) letters carrying out names differently but we filled in the form that we are not travelling with anyone(that we are travelling alone),and picked different dates of interview are we still on point even though we have letters from the same invitee and for the same occasion. Pls I want to know if there is no issue and if there is any issue,how do we rectify it now
