I really love this article, this article just spoke my mind but I hope Nigerians learn. All the problems stated in this article is as a result of one thing, which is inferiority complex. We have totally believe that the white men (oyibos) are superior to us in all ways which is wrong. Some parents are even proud that their child / children can speak English than their own language which is so sad. Yoruba and Igbo exchange of insults because of hatred between the two tribes is a heart breaking. I have lots Igbo friends when I was in school and I Love the Igbos alot. I would be happy if the Igbos and the Yorubas can come together has one so therefore in order to solve a problem one has to know its roots. The Igbos has always accused us the Yoruba as betrayals but I think it's a matter of lack of understanding between the two tribes. So my Yoruba people what are the things the Igbos do that you don't like; Please a Igbo should open a similar tread. Note: The purpose of this tread of for both side amend their wrong in order to bring about a peaceful relationship. As for me one the things my igbo brothers do wrongly is lack of respect for host. Yoruba is known for respect, we cherish Respect very and the Yorubas respect is more than greeting. To us Respect is also acknowledging your host as a king of his house/territory. Some of my igbo brothers get carried away sometimes that they act or things we Yorubas term as Disrespectful. One is them is situations where see an Igbo guy says " Igbos more than Yorubas in Lagos so Lagos is a no man's land" Imagine a Yoruba guy goes to Imo and said such statement, the Yorubas will criticez him heavily because we believe that is insulting.
