PoliticsRe: No Dollar Salary For Okonjo-Iweala, Others — Jonathan by yelanst(m): 6:52pm On Aug 18, 2011
For some of you who do not understand the implication of paying the finance minister in dollars, let me educate you: When you pay her in dollars, as a human being who is susceptible to greed, she may be motivated to enact policies that will strengthen the dollars against the naira since that is the currency she is paid with. Good job GEJ.
Foreign AffairsRe: Will Usa Go To War With China To End Its Economic Decline? by yelanst(m): 9:06pm On Aug 09, 2011
America core allies.

Canada (Traditional ally)
Australia (Anzac ally)
New Zealand )Anzac ally)
NATO/EU (Main ally with 2 nuclear powers France and Britain)
Japan (Asian ally)
South Korea (The puppet of America)
Israel (Nuclear power and regional power)
Taiwan

China core allies
Russia (Nuclear and world Power)
SCO (Strategic ally in Central Asia)
Burma (strategic Asian ally)
Venezuela (Latin American strategic ally)
Pakistan (Major partner and Nuclear power)
Iran (Middle eastern ally and regional power)
Cuba (Latin American strategic ally)
North Korea (Traditional cold war ally with nuclear weapons)
Syria (Strategic middle eastern ally)

Let us critically examine this issue. Let us assume that all these allies will show up if a war ensues.

- SCO+Russia+China versus NATO+ USA
-Iran+Pakistan versus Isreal( May God save Isreal)
-North korea vs Japan.
-Others.

china manpower, & technology + russian technology = scary!

WELL, If this war should ensue, we all will not be alive to witness the winner
Foreign AffairsRe: Will Usa Go To War With China To End Its Economic Decline? by yelanst(m): 7:28pm On Aug 09, 2011
@Wallie
fine and good,i concur that US spent such whopping amount to finance wars in the past. We are still saying the same thing. That whopping amount the spent is the root cause of the problem the are facing now and hence the reason why i said the cannot finance a war. Mind you, a lot of countries are looking foward to the day a woe will befall the US. The whole world frowns at  their imperialistic approach to matters. So dont be surprise that at the advent of a major war, countries such as Britain and Germany will take sides against them. US cannot fight any war now; not even with a country like Iran. I assure you that Iran will undermine them.
Foreign AffairsRe: Will Usa Go To War With China To End Its Economic Decline? by yelanst(m): 6:39pm On Aug 09, 2011
Forget all these threats US is spewing. They know, as much as we know, that they dont have the capacity to attack China. If they do, they will definitely regret it. IN this contemporary world, we dont consider only military prowess in war, but, also economic strength. have you ever asked yourself this simple question-"can the US finance a major war?  You people should just accept the fact that the US is sick. Forget all these there show and blablabla.

BusinessRe: Why Can't Money Be Sufficiently Printed For Our Use? by yelanst(m): 9:03pm On Jul 31, 2011
The money in circulation/supplied in any economy must grow in paripassu with output of goods and services. When we have too much money pursuing few goods and services, it leads to increase in the price level or succinctly put=leads to inflation. Inflation leads to the fall in value of the naira in relation to other currencies. Since nigeria is an import dependent country, we will need more naira to purchase a unit of the dollar (ie since the dollar is the internationally accepted currency in international trade). let me be more analytical. Take for instance that the exchange rate of the dollar to naira is $1=N150. As a result of inflation, the  exchange rate becomes $1=N180. Hence an importer who fomerly spends N150 to import goods will now spend N180 at the current exchange rate. This will cause the price of the imported goods to rise further in our domestic economy. This will lead to further inflation and depreciation of our national currency if proper monetary and fiscal policies are not put in place. This situation will even be worsened if we do not have enough foreign exchange reserve to sustain import.
What i am trying to say is this: for money supply to increase, output( ie productive capacity,  etc) must increase ,such that the amount of money in circulation will clear the market of goods and services. IF the money  supplied is greater than output of goods and services, inflation becomes the inevitable(ie to much money pursuing few goods). Thus if Nigeria must mint more money to better the life of its citizens as the OP rightly suggest, she must first increase her productive capacity via indusrialization and reviving our agricultural sector so that this money will find goods to buy. Any thing less than this will only amount to these monies being printed becoming toilet tissues. This is  the singular reason why countries like Japan and Qatar can afford to mint more money to curb her natural disaster and carry out developmental projects respectively  because there productive capacities are very high and when these monies minted  flows back into there economies will find enough output to buy, hence there will be little or no inflation. Hope i have made a little point here. Thanks

The likes of Rhino are always bittered because things are not moving the way they are supposed.

They are very bitter and angry that another 4 years is about to be wasted due to total ignorance and sentiments.

They are very angry because of the person piloting the affairs of this nation does not have a clue on how to navigate the country through storms or rain and hence they are not ruling out the possibility of crashing or mid air explosion.

They are angry due to constant noise generated by generators within the neighbourhood and the total darkness the country is subjected to by criminality of PDP.

The likes of Rhino can NEVER be happy until things started changing in reality NOT on the pages of news papers. Sure the likes of Rhino wanted to be happy if possible.
Christianity EtcRe: If Jesus Should Come And Preach In These Pentecostal Churches Today! by yelanst(m): 9:25pm On May 26, 2011
If Jesus should come back to earth in this our present Pentecostal dispensation, the story will definitely be the same. This Jesus who said that 'My fathers house shall not be a place of buying and selling" will not be allowed to see the expliotation going on in the church in the name of tithes, offering, bazar etc. Jesus who preached solely on salvation of souls and remittance of sins will not be allowed to hear the adulterated preachings in our churches aimed at serving the preachers selfish interest. If He should come to earth today, he will not be allowed to step into the church. He will be arrested right at the gate and handed over to "the anti-robbery squad" and the will subject him to firing squad.

@rhino & seanet
there is a great difference b/w a tribe and a region. THIS IS ELEMENTARY SOCIAL STUDIES. The crime was comitted in akwaibom state which happens to be a part of the old eastern region and not by the igbos as a tribe. i suggest u should go back to primary school and get  yourself acquainted wit elementary social studies cos from ur post, u are  either  an ignoramus or a tribalist. no offence.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this may sound like a joke, but the truth still remains that ohakim has captured imo again. a serious political engineering is going on now at both state and national level, and according to a source from inec,  the game is playing in favor of ikiri. Just got a call from Owelle now instructing us to accept the outcome in good faith should any eventuallity happen as relate to the result. it is quite sad.

pls, those of you kicking against this two weeks extention should register this fact properly on there blank skull and then shut the Bleep up. Easter holiday comes up ending of April as against middle of april or ending of march it use to be, so, if schools resume on the first week of february, the are still in place. This is a very good calculation by the presidency. the school premises will be used as venues for registeration or do you want inec to use your palor as registeration center?

RomancePlease Somebody Help, I Am Confused. by yelanst(op): 10:09am On Jul 24, 2010
there is this guy i went into a relationship with 5 years ago. Then I just finished my secondary school and he just graduated from the uni. i loved him so dearly then b4 something happened. THere was a time he went to lagos in search of greener pasture and then i have gained admission into the uni. i called his no one day and a female voice answered it. in my curiousity i believed he had started another date. However he told me that it was his cousin whom he stays with picked it. i didnt believe it and we broke up. this year the guy came back into my live. he had been so good to me ever since we started dating this year and i have started to love him again, all of a sudden he came up with this question. he asked me if i am into any serious relationship, and if yes i should tell him so that he will quit bc, first he wouldnt like to be the second guy in my life, and second he wouldnt like me to dump my boyfriend for no reason the way i dumped him some few years ago. actually i am into a serious relationship now. should i dump my boyfriend for this guy? should i continue with my old relationship? help.

IN MY OWN OPINION, RCCG SHOULD NOT RETURN AKINGBOLA LOOTED OFFERING TO THE GOVT. B/C IF RETURNED THE MONEY WILL DEFINITELY CRAW INTO SOMEBODY"S POCKET JUST AS THE RETURNED LOOT OF ABACHA AND CO. SO THE SHOULD RETAIN THE LOOT AS THERE SHARE OF THE NATIONAL CAKE. AFTERALL, GOVT. OR CHURCH, NA THE SAME PEOPLE. THE WORK HAND IN HAND.
