PrimadonnaO: Whichever way it works out for the couple involved. But in a situation where the man isn't as understanding and supportive as your husband is, it becomes the woman's responsibility to step up. Often, women are the ones who do most of the sacrificing.
I'm not talking with both sides of my mouth. She can work or start up a business, but not a job that's so demanding such that there's little or no time to bond and cater for husband and kids. When describing the man's role u said supportive and understanding. When describing the woman u now say responsibility.... hmmm Isn't it the man's sole responsibility to provide for his family if his wife is raising their kids and because of that can't work? |

Nigeria will struggle without oil but it is not Nothing. Diaspora remittances match what we get from oil and gas Nigeria is not dependent on oil ? Abeg I'm out. |

wristbangle: The bolded statement is seriously flawed and base less conclusion.
Kindly Google top multinational sector coys in Lagos and it would shock you that IT/Telecommunication, FMCG firms outweighs oil/gas. They are all driven by the oil and gas sector of Nigeria. Without oil Nigeria is nothing at least for now. Hopefully that will soon change. |
Family › Re: Parenting Advice For Career Women From Pastor Mrs Olamide Timi David by YelloweWest: 4:39pm On Nov 20, 2017 |
PrimadonnaO: And all you've written up there are the reasons why there are so many perverted kids these days...kids that lack manners...kids without real values...wayward and lacking understanding of certain basic things.
Being a parent totally goes beyond birthing the kids and providing all their financial needs or being influential in society (just because they have some spare cash). The big responsibility lies in raising these kids with the right values, fear of God mindset and to be an asset to society.
I'm an advocate of women contributing tangibly towards financing the home, but not at the detriment of the kids or her husband. Family first! Your last paragraph is talking with both sides of your mouth. I'm a mother. My time is for my children. I won't work until my kids are a certain age so I can raise them properly. I don't contribute NOTHING financially for now and my husband does not complain. He pays all the bills and has taken up my responsibility to my siblings and parents. How many men like this do we have nowadays? He recognises that I have sacrificed myself to raise his children and does not ask me for anything. Unlike all these boys that will be shouting woman must contribute. My point is if u want your wife to make money and contribute to the family financially, be ready to chip in and raise you kids as a man. Or else... Cos it takes time to make money. Something has got to give. |

ODVanguard: You can be another confused SS igbo for all I care. Just because you people down in Rivers are subservient to Anambra people don't mean we Yorubas are mumu like you lots. Ogun alone already has a higher IGR than the entire SE combined. If these people are so special, why isn't it reflecting in their state economy, development, and IGR? The recent elections demonstarted the extent of the poverty in that state, so much so that even the ruling party had to resort to vote-buying. You better receive sense. Because the igbos don't bring their businesses back to their home. That's a fact. Stop being ignorant. Ijaw is very distinct from igbo. |

Any day I speak against biafra I'mcalled Yoruba or hausa unity begger. Today I agree completely with the truth said by an igbo governor an I'm been called ibo. Meanwhile I'm Ijaw. Conclusion. Nigerians hate the truth... |

bakynes: Big Mumu, Airtel, MTN, Etisalat,Chevron,Mobil,Total,Conoco Philips,, Julius Berger,Schulumberger,Swisspharm,GSK,Unilever,Nestle,Cadbury etc they are owned by Anambrans ba?
Every other tribe can see how stupid some of these Igbos are. Always Chest beating, boasting what they are not. You don't have to be insulting... u are Yoruba anyway so I guess that's a norm for u guys. It seems u didn't even understand my question. I asked what industry are majority these multinational companies in?? I didn't ask what tribe they are from |
Politics › Re: Governor Obiano: "Anambra Made Lagos What It Is" by YelloweWest: 3:14pm On Nov 20, 2017 |
ODVanguard: Girl, first of all you don't have to lie about your tribe. Everyone that follows you on this forum knows you are igbo from the SS. Paye taxes contribute the most to Lagos IGR (of which Yoruba people and multinationals contribute the bulk), and we all know your people in Lagos are mostly engaged in the informal sector of the Lagos economy where tax evasion is the order of the day, and engage in petty trading, gala hawking, and criminal activities. This subject has been trashed on here severally. You people are just empty chestbeaters.
https://s14.postimg.org/917dehb7l/Lagos_IGR.png Don't be ignorant. The SS is very distinct from igbo. I'm Ijaw! Whether u agree or not. The fact remain that the igbos have contributed greatly to the development of Lagos and the multinational companies are almost all oil sector driven. That oil comes from my backyard... |

Movic1: Do you know the numbers of multinational companies in Lagos? Do you know the millions they pay as tax? It's not by number. The amount 1 of those companies pay as tax will dwarf all the whole tax the Anambrarians are paying. Multinational companies right?? If i may ask what industry are these big companies in that pay the big taxes?? Yeah.... |
