If you’ve been around for quite some time you would agree with me that the rate of unemployment in this country Is on the increase even as more and more graduates are being turned out yearly without a facility in place to offer them a job capable of sustaining them and their families.

Well one of the primary reasons I discovered stopping people from starting /owing a business is the fear of starting. Sad but true. You may not want to accept it but deep down you know it’s true.

Not many of us will be willing to try that much number of times before giving up. And who says you are going to fail that many number of times.
There is usually a lot of "what Ifs" associated with venturing into new territories.
You begin to have thoughts like…… what if it doesn’t work, what if I fail. So let me ask you, what If it works out, and what if you succeed Huh I guess you’ll never know until you try.

Take a step of faith and start that dream business and just believe that as soon as you start, the universal forces will co-operate with you.
You don’t have to wait until you have those millions before you start, trust me if you do, you’ll probably never start anything.
It’s not a crime to start small, even the Bible tells us not to despise our days of little beginning. It only becomes a crime when you choose to remain small and refuse to grow.

Nice thread, I must confess, am kinda the shy and conservative type. I so hate embarrassment,especially from a lady. This article is going to be looking at 7 reasons why you probably are not making money online. So just sit down, relax and enjoy the write up.


1 No Business Plan:
Whatever it is you want to accomplish in life, if you have no plan, that thing is bound to fail even before you start. So whenever such people have a great business idea and try to put it to work, fear sets in and so their subconscious mind will quickly retreat from the unfamiliar back to the familiar. Such people end up sitting on the sidelines and watch other people make it big in life while they remain so afraid to take action. Many people who refuse to take action do it because they are afraid to loose. “To them, their fear of loosing is much more than their excitement of winning” people who play it safe and refuse to take well calculated risk don’t make it very far in life, most of them end up falling by the way side. Life is all about taking risks, my friend. Without taking risk, there can be no reward. Every business has it’s own risk, infact a business without risk is not a business but something else. Lol. in fact If you ask me, i would say not taking action or refusing to act on that knowledge you gained from that seminar you attended or that ebook you read is the exact reason why “1% of the people in this world control over 97% of the worlds wealth”. I want you to think about that for a moment.
If you Keep doing things the way you’ve been doing them, then you will keep getting the same results you’ve been getting.
Many peole blame their reason for not taking action on flimsy excuses like :”i dont have any money”. Let me tell you something: not having money is not a good enough reason not to start an online business, infact it is the exact reason why you should start one. Remember “Do nothing and nothing will happen”

4 Unrealistic Goals:
you probably must have read at least one self-development book or been to one or two seminars on self-development and probably heard the importance of goal setting as a tool to becoming successful. But some people misunderstand the whole idea behind goal setting for example:
imagine Some one who never made a dime online writing something like this: “I want to make a million dollars in the next 2 months” while writing such oversized goal is not such a bad idea, but there is a problem. Considering his wealth of experience which we know is very small, the probability of achieving such a massive goal within such a small time frame is nearly non-existent. So such a goal could be considered to be an unrealistic one. It’s not too different from a baby trying to run before he or she even knows how to crawl.
Here are some things you need to know about setting your goals.
Your goals must be:

c. Realistic
d. Time bound (must have an expiry date if not it is merely a dream)

5 . No Focus:

You will agree with me that to develop a new skill, be it online or offline, being able to discpline yourself is very vital to your completion of the task needed to perfect such skills. The importance of discipline in the business world cannot be over emphasized. It is the bedrock to a successful business empire. Discipline is setting a goal to do something and actually doing that thing when you said you will do it and how you said you will do it without procrastinating.
A person who lacks discipline always procrastinates. “Putting off today’s work till tomorrow” .this is very dangerous. Indiscipline is one of the top most killers of any business. Please, dont let it roar its ugly head in your business.

7 Impatience:
Starting an online business is no different from a farmer sowing seeds in the farm. He makes sure the seeds are healthy, the soil is fertile and makes sure moisture is available before planting. As for your 16" Alloy wheels issue, what phase is your 406? Phase I or II? At least, all most all D9 with EW12 and V6 had "16 Alloy wheels from factory. Mine have on it 205/55 R16. So, i want to believe the Aftermarket 16" Alloy wheels on your Lion is not compatible with the hub, not that Peugeot didn't design 406 hub to be mounted 16" wheel. Since you have 16 size tyres, i would suggest you look for used Peugeot 16"Alloy wheels and lug nuts of D9. It will be available in Peugeot used parts shops.

As for the Diagbox interface (cable) question. Sorry, it's not sold separately. It's sold as a box with other stuffs, hence, the diagbox (Diagnostic Box). Find it below:

My remote dosnt work oo, hasnt worked since i got the car. the button on the remote is not there. was told that because my car dosnt have a BSI, nothing can be done to make the remote functional again. please is this true?

i have had to lock the car using the key all dis time, but today the central lock just refused to work.

My tyre type is 205/55 R16 just like yours, and the car is a 406 d8 with an XU10 engine.

Hi Ikenna, how was service today, i guess it was splendid.

please my 406 is having some issues, i got to church today and den tried to lock my car, only to realize that my central lock system had stopped working, i had to manually lock all d doors. twas quite annoying. could it be that the fuse controlling it got blown or sumfin?

secondly, i bought it from someone in lagos and it came with 16 rim tryes, its looks fyn and all but the rims have been disturbing me, in the sense that the tyres are wider than the usual 15 rim tyres meant for the car. hence some sort of packing needed to be put on the hub to prevent the tyre from touching the front shocks, which in turn needed a longer bolt than necessary to b able to get to the hub. now those bolts are not readily available in makurdi where i live. Besides, i noticed that the bolts have only succeeded in damaging my hubs as i had to replace the passenger front and back leg recently. luckily for me the spare tyre that came with the care is a 15 rim tyre and dats wat ive been using after replacing the the front hub that got damaged, wat do u advice i do sir, should i just step down to 15 rim tyres or is there a way around it.

Thirdly, please sir where can i get the hardware/cable connector that connects a computer to a peugeot car allowing one to diagnose the car using pp2000?

well, i dont stay in abuja. for now i'm based in makurdi, and no, i havn't washed my engine recently, but the guy who later checked the alternator is som1 who specializes mainly in 406 matters and he said that there was a wire tap from the alternator to a part of the car and dats why my alternator got fried.

Ikenna351: Yes, excessive fueling will be sending raw fuel to the caty which will heat and burn the combs/stuffs inside the caty gradually.

Bad fuel will not burn well during the explosion in those chambers, and will be pushed out via exhaust valve to the caty and clog/destroy it. Bad fuel will also kill your oxygen sensors, especially the upstream sensor.

Hi Ikenna, By excessive fueling, wat exactly do u mean?
i carried out the check on my alternator using the DMM just as you said, but it could hardly output up to 13.50 volts initially, before the voltage started droping, i took it back to have it checked but the electrician said that the diode of my alternator is bad and dats wat is causing the low charging. he also said that 406 alternator has no second hand value, that i'm going to have to buy a new one. pls how much does an xu10 alternator go for?

Ikenna351: A failing battery symptom.

Before i go on, please, do not remove your battery terminals again while engine is running in your D8 again. Even though it lacks BSI unit, but it could fry your Engine Control Unit. There are better and safer ways of testing Alternator.

The symptom sounds like your battery is gone. I would advice you get another battery. But as for the person that told you that 60 Ah battery is too small for the car, don't mind him. D8 & D9 factory battery is 60 -62 Ah. 75 or 60 Ah battery makes no difference in 406. What matters is how good the battery is.

To test and rule out your Alternator, other than the crude method you used, get a DMM (Digital MultiMeter ). If you don't have, you buy one of N200. Start the car, set the DMM to 20v, place the DMM red lead on the positive battery terminal and the black lead on the negative battery terminal (with AC off). You should get a fluctuating volts between 13.8 - 14v. That should tell you your Alternator is charging well.
I would suggest you buy another battery as soon as the DMM test proves the Alternator is ok. Look for Everstart battery. It's made in Korea and very good battery, though scarce. Thats the battery in my SV D9.

Hi Ikenna, I Really like wat u are doing here. more grease to ur elbows bro. Pls i hav an issue with my car. i drive a 406 1998 model. i suddenly started having issues with my battery. the battery water was topped and den a day afta the battery started messing up. it refused to start in d morning anymore, we had to keep pushing. the car is fine in during the day but at night once i turn on the head lights with the A/c on, before you know it the lights starts getting dim, d radio and A/c start misbehaving, at that point if i turn off the engine, its not going to start anymore. most of the features of the car are digital, i'm using an su10 engine. i checkd to see if the battery was charging properly by removing one of the battery terminal wires while the engine is running, and the car didn't go off. the electricians boy where i went to have the car checked recommended that i buy a 75AH battery instead, that the 60 AH battery is too small for my car, pls wats ur take on this?

It’s no longer news that android devices are taking over the mobile/ telecommunications market. With more and more companies rolling out their own versions of their mobile devices running on android OS.

One of the popular complaints you get from people using these devices is about the battery life. Many complain that some of these devices run down a lil too quickly, while this may be partly true, I still believe that most of the complaints you get from people are a result of improper management of battery power of their android devices.

Here are a few tips based on my experience that I think would make the battery of your android devices be it phones phone or tablets last much longer than they do presently.

1. Reduce the Brightness of your Screen

One of the major factors that could determine how fast your battery runs down is the brightness of your screen. The lower the brightness, the longer your battery lasts before running down.

Another reason why I would encourage you to reduce your screen brightness is so that you don’t damage your eyes over time.

If you are like me who spends a lot of time in front of screens, from phone screens to laptop screens, reducing your screen brightness is necessary unless you are ready to start using glasses in your youthful age *winks*

2. Turn off Wi-Fi/hotspot/ data services when not in use

These three things mentioned above also have the power to run your battery down really fast. Make it a rule to turn off data or wireless when not in use on our device as this will only contribute to the draining of your battery.

Another thing you need to be aware of is that if you make your android device a hotspot for other devices to connect to wirelessly, I assure you that your device is going to run down so fast that you are going to wonder what happened.

Hotspot services take a huge toll on your battery, so if you must use it just make sure just make sure u have a charging source nearby. But if the hotspot isn’t meant for multiple devices, say you want to use it on your laptop, then I would advise that you use USB tethering instead. That way your phone is being used as a modem and is also being charged simultaneously.

3. Reduce the back-light / standby time

Backlight standby time refers to the time it takes for your phone light to go off after being left idle. By default this could be something like 30 seconds. Reducing it to half the time or even to something like 10 seconds would be a good idea because it’s going to help save your battery too.

4. Turn off Bluetooth when not in use

I believe this point is self-explanatory. Once your Bluetooth is not in use, leaving it on will only help you drain your battery.

5. Ensure That You don’t Have Too Many Applications Running on Your Device

The reason why you don’t want too many apps running at the same time on you device is that, more apps running translates into more of your RAM being used which in turn translates into more of your battery juice being drained.

You could download a free task manager software from google play store that helps you kill apps that are not currently in use.



6 Turn off Phone vibration feature if You don’t Need it

This is also self-explanatory, if you don’t really need your phone vibration setting turned on, It would be a good idea to just turn it off because when you phone vibrates repeatedly, it contributes in the quick drainage of your battery.
