Seeing myself sit on the couch and get alerts, I understand the quote in the image below better. Some days ago, I read a story about a young brilliant guy who set out to perfect a product. After 8 years, he came out with a wonderful and irresistible product. Obviously, he was confident his story would change instantly. So, he went for a pitch with a great number of wealthy investors and after the pitch, they were amazed and excited to invest. Then one of them asked: How many have you sold? The young guy stammered and said "actually I haven't sold anything, I was focused on perfecting the product" As if the investors had a rehearsal before the pitch by the way they echoed this: "You mean you have not sold anything for the past 8 years" ...while looking confused, one of them threw the bomb at the brilliant guy. "I am sorry, we don't want a perfect product but a product that sells" Hmm! And that's how many have been living their lives. We are working tirelessly to perfect without STARTING, LEARNING and IMPROVING. Another story I learnt from and know like the palm of my hand is that of Just Rite. I am sure many in Lagos and its environs would have seen the beautiful superstore in their area named Just Rite. I remember while in Secondary school, Iganmode Grammar School to be precise, Just Rite was just a shop opposite my school. In fact, one of my friends used to call it kiosk. But you know the rest of the story. With the possible exit of Shoprite, Just Rite could be the next BIG thing. Assuming the owner was waiting to perfect the idea; I am sure there won't be JustRite of that magnitude at this moment. You can not make excuses and make money. And if you have decided to make money, you have to start, learn and improve. You don't have to be perfect. After all, who is really perfect? Or maybe you want to start something and just don't know what or how to start. Here is a download link of a free report on the 4 practical ways to make money online in 2020 - for the average Nigerian. https://yemionline.com/MMO You need good guidance and right information to succeed in a business and the reason you should download the free report to start, learn and improve. Remember, you can not make excuses and money. Hope this is worth your reading time, my people? Don't be afraid to write too and improve. God bless us all. Happy Sunday |
In my music class, I know one reason my students consider me a good teacher is because I always relate every exercise with something they are very familiar with. With that, I don't have to stress myself explaining before they understand vividly. So today, I will explain Facebook Ads Targeting using a popular and relatable account of a regular revival program especially in the Southern part of the country. Please, this is not to spite any religion but to express how they are related for better understanding. Some days ago, I came across a video of "Ebuka in a woman's thing" by a woman of God. If you have seen the video, you will understand well. Then it dawned on me, this is another way to explain Facebook Targeting considering most people have this experience either physically or through Nollywood. In the video, many people are present in the church and this could be likened to "Broad Targeting on Facebook". With that, you have access to large number of people with different issues, wants or needs. It involves different age brackets, gender, marital status, occupation, locations, income etc. Most times, you notice when a man/woman of God makes an altar call; few people will come out. That's because, many do not come because of that. Different people, different issues. Very broad interests, I must add. So it will get to a stage the man or woman of God will say "if you are MARRIED and without a child...come for this mantle" This could be likened to Flex Targeting in Facebook Marketing. With that, the man/woman of God has narrowed the audience to the people that are very likely to get the mantle. First, they are Christians, married women and looking for a child. You will see women rushing out for the mantle. That's what happen when you target the right audience on Facebook. Compare that to saying such in men's gathering...you know the answer na. Before that, the man/woman of God would have shared a story of how a woman's womb was locked by her mother-in-law and after she used the mantle, she gave birth blah blah blah... That's the power of copy writing that helps to push your targeting for massive results. It means a good sales copy, image/video plus right targeting gives your ad(s) massive results or sales. While the woman of God was saying that, she would be looking at reactions and expressions. The people who are paying attention, interested and those cold or lukewarm. This is what is called Facebook Pixel. It helps to track conversions, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads and remarket. In the video, the woman of God said "there is one Ebuka..." Literally, it's always more than one Ebuka and with that the audience is defined. It means the message/product is for Ebukas. So for any product or service to get results through Facebook Ads, you must define your potential customers and serve your ads to them. With that all the Ebukas in the church would pay attention to the woman of God. Relating this to Facebook Targeting, all the Ebukas will subscribe to your list and may buy immediately or later. With that you are building a CUSTOM AUDIENCE and email list for yourself. A custom audience is one of the powerful ways to make massive sales on Facebook but it doesn't happen without good sales copy and rightly defined interest targeting. Let's go back to the woman of God. She then said "one Ebuka is in a woman's thing" There is no way she sells a mantle in the church with Ebukas that feel they are not progressing or married; and she won't sell. She has already psyched all the Ebukas (except few if there is) to think the mantle is the only solution they need. Many of them will buy and others will be forced to accept that when they hear it again. In Facebook, that's RETARGETING. The ads will keep pursuing them online screaming "Ebuka, you are in a woman something" until they buy the mantle The woman of God may visit another church and the same thing will happen but the name may change to Jide or Seye. In Facebook, it means she has used the Ebuka's custom audience to create lookalike audiences for Seyes or Jides. And she continues using the ad copy, targeting and retargeting working for her...before you know it she becomes one of the top powerful prophets in the country. The same thing applies to advertisers on Facebook, by the time you have discovered your audience, create custom audiences through Facebook Pixel installed, create lookalikes....sales/results won't stop flowing. It's a simple as that but you have to learn how it works. After all, prophets also learn from their spiritual Fathers. I hope no life was lost? |
So a few days ago, a friend shared a video on his whatsapp status about a Nigerian man 'Ubong King' by name who became a millionaire despite the odds being stacked heavily against him. He had every reason to quit and just remain where he was but he chose not to. He lost his father when he was little. His mother sold ipekere (plantain chips) and did other petty businesses to be able to put food on the table. Later in life, he got a job taking care of pigs. From there he became a security guard at a church while squatting with his friend just to sustain himself and make ends meet... He later gained admission into the university and at the end his program came out with a 3rd class. Life was tough for him. But one day, he got angry. Now he didn't get angry at anybody in particular. He got angry with his condition and that anger was what motivated him to start making the changes that he needed to make in his life and today he is a multi-millionaire. There was something he said in the video that really caught my attention.. Here it is: "Anger is God's gift to man. If you want to change from one level to the next, you have to get angry." This is so true. I couldn't help but relate his story to my life as well. You know, I shouldn't be where I am today considering where i'm coming from. But.. It got to a point where I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. I got tired of the peanuts I was getting from my job, I got tired of how the system was created to make you totally dependent on the government. I got tired of how fast my salary got finished barely a few days after i was paid. I was tired! And then i got angry. It was that anger that motivated me to create 3 additional streams of income for myself. (story for another day). I'm not telling you to create 3, not even 2 streams of income... Start by learning one skill that will help you create just 1 additional stream of income and watch your life change like night and day. The truth is that, with the state of the economy now, it will be unwise and risky for anyone whose only source of income is a salary job not to have an additional stream of income because anything can happen. An additional stream of income is meant to act as insurance and also make you live a better and much comfortable life. Let me even ask you a question. The year is already far spent. 6 months don waka... What steps have you taken since this year began till now to move your finances to the next level? I want you to make an honest evaluation on your life from the beginning of the year till now. Are you closer to the goals you set at the beginning of the year, or are you farther away from them? You have to get angry. Refuse to leave things as they are. That's the only way you can change level and do what needs to be done to improve your finances and your life in general. I want you to think about what I've said, and if it makes sense to you, do something about it today don't wait till tomorrow. Start now. Till next time. Yemi. |

Now, let’s get something right When I say “easiest” as seen in the subject line, I do not mean easy. I am only using the word as a way of comparison to other ways of making money online. So, with that being said: Last week one of my newsletter subscribers sent this question to me , the article that follows was my response So, based on what I know, I told him the 2 easiest ways for a Nigerian to start making money online as quickly as possible are: (1) Online Freelancing (aka doing online jobs) (2) Affiliate Marketing Let me explain why: If you are a broke person or someone with very little money to spare, then the way to go to start earning some money as quickly as possible is by doing online jobs. This is also known as online freelancing. What you are doing here is to help businesses and individuals so some online jobs like writing articles, transcribing, graphic design etc and getting paid. With this, a broke person can start making $250, $400 etc a month very fast. $250 now is about N100,000. And all they need is a computer and internet connection. Highly recommended for students, youth corpers and people who don’t have a lot of startup capital. I know it works because I can confidently point to at least 100 people who..... Affiliate Marketing is one of the best ways to make money from home and affiliate programs provide anyone with internet access a chance to make a living on the internet. Affiliate programs are usually free or very cheap to join, easy to get started and typically pay commissions on a regular basis, so more and more people are turning to them as a means to start a home based business. However, there are a few mistakes affiliate marketers tend to make that hurts their business tremendously. Avoiding some of these common mistakes made by affiliate marketers should quickly and easily improve your chances of making sales and increase your affiliate commissions. Here are five of the top mistakes made by affiliate marketers: 1) Not researching the affiliate program before your start promoting it It really is amazing just how many affiliates grab the first affiliate program that comes there way or signup simply because it has a high commission rate or promote it just because every other marketer is promoting it. If the program does not compliment the overall theme of your site, you will find it difficult to convince your visitors and subscribers to purchase the product. Why would they want it if it does not have anything to do with the area you are targeting? 2) Not using your signature file correctly Many affiliates add a signature file to all of their out-going email messages and forum posts but they do not do it correctly. Twenty lines of text full of affiliate links to a bunch of different products is not considered a good signature file! In fact, it can very easily be considered spam. Try keeping your signature file under five lines with an attention grabbing or intriguing first line and overdo it on the links. 3) Not writing your own ad copy There's nothing worse than seeing the exact same advertisement all over the internet or in email messages from ten different marketers. How much perceived value will your message have when it arrives and the reader is seeing it for the tenth time? Take the time to tweak the ad to suit your target audience and subscribers before sending it out. Personalize it to make the ad your own so it doesn't even seem like an advertisement anymore. 4) Not paying for your own domain name and hosting account Even novice internet users can tell a free hosted site when they see one. It's very unprofessional and suggests to your visitors that you haven't made any money online and probably don't know what you're doing. If you haven't even taken the small step towards setting up your business properly then how can your visitors trust you? Less than $10 a year for a domain name at namecheap.com and maybe $5 per month for a small hosting account won't break your bank account. In fact, it will probably help to add to your account in the long run. 5) Not capturing your leads before you send them on to the affiliate product site Statistics show that out of the total cold traffic sent to your affiliate offer, only about 1% will buy right away. If you spend your time and money marketing to get someone to click on one of your affiliate links then they leave the product site without purchasing, what have you gained? Nothing! You have just lost the time and money it took to get that one click-through in the first place. Set up a squeeze page so you can capture your lead's email address before you send them on to the product site. That way if they don't buy you can follow up with them later and try again (and again and again and again). This can be priceless! Now that you know these five affiliate mistakes to avoid you should be able to make more sales and increase your affiliate commissions by a significant amount. So get out there and become the super affiliate marketer you always knew you could be. Cheers! |

Before I go ahead, I need you know that OPM = Other People’s Money And in the headline QUICKLY & PROFITABLE are written in Caps. So, before I go ahead to talk about how to use OPM (other people’s money) Let's look at a profitable business one can start quickly. Well there is a list 1. Freelancing This one doesnt require much to start. If you got one of the highly demand skill you can start making some few money. But I believe this isn’t too profitable as you will need to have some few high-paying clients who will keep giving you jobs to do Here is a list of some of the skills you can learn to start freelancing. - copywritting - coding - video editing - Online marketer - programmer - social media manager (expert) And many more like that sha 2. Information Marketing IM for short This one is very profitable. But it a bit difficult to start Here is why: First, you need to check out for a hungry market to sell to Then pick a topic out of the Niche Here is a list of some of the huge hungry market you can sell to - Dating - Sex - Beauty - Fashion - Business - Marriage - Parenting - Travelling To do this, you can look for a problem people in this category are facing and then provide solution to it. That information should be a solution to their problem And you can package it, in video format or ebook For instance, say you want to target the business niche. I will suggest you target a segmented audience from that market. Because it a very big one People who run business have different problems Some got loan problems Some tax issues Some advertising problems For me, I will just jejely create an information to help those who got advertising issues. Now you don’t have to sell to all the people in the business advertising marketing You can still narrow it down to Facebook advertisers, Youtube, Instagram or GDN You can create an information product titled: The NO-FAIL Facebook Advertising Strategy This report can easily be priced at N25,000 if you create a nice sales funnel for it. A funnel like this one: ADS - Presell - Optin - VSL (with enough proofs and irresistible offers) But then make sure that what you are selling works sha. Don’t sell junks. It won’t last before it backfires. Just like I said, this business model is very profitable but then it requires a lot of hard work to start. But once it fully set up. You will start to make money on autopilot. Anyway, let’s move to the next one. 3. Affiliate Marketing. I love this one for two things. It's easy to start & It's very profitable Here is where you sell products that don’t belong to you for a commission. If you must do this, I will advise selling digital products because they are stress-free and offer more commission than physical products. This business model requires little work as many of the jobs must have been done by the vendor (the product owner) and the affiliate platform you are using. To start this one - You don’t need an office. - You don’t need to own a product - You don’t need to crack your brain putting up a sales page for the product - You don’t need to hire any staff or assistance either. All you need is a good selling system to sell the products and you pocket in your commission This business model is better when you run it through a trusted affiliate platform Here is why: You can trust them with your commissions and you can select different products to sell If you try to sell product A and it doesn’t work out. Dump it and move to product B It's damn profitable. But … As you are already aware, some of the major affiliate platforms like ClickBank and JVZoo don’t accept Nigerians. That one na their wahala sha, because we now have an alternative for Nigerians. Talking about the profit in this business. One of the Trusted and reliable affiliate marketing products offers N17,500 commission per product sale. If you sell 10pcs of that product a week. It means you are making N175,000 N175,000 X 4 weeks = N700,000 a month Thats a lot of money there. And just like I said they are many product for you that you can choose to sell. If you need to start this business right away, I recommend you spare some few time to go through a special video training to help you kick start. You can find the link in my signature below this post. Now that I have given you 3 profitable business models you can start. Let's now talk about how you can use OPM to start them OPM = other people’s money Truth is, not everyone can use this depending on the type of friends they keep and how they are viewed by their friends and relatives. To use OPM. It's simple. Look for a great business idea. You can pick from any of the 3 business models that I mentioned above. I will advise you pick business model number 3 (affiliate marketing) anyway. Then you meet up with some of your rich trusted friends or relatives and share the business model with them And ask them to invest some amount of money to get back some amount of money within a period of time. I could call some of my friends and ask them to invest 100k to make back 200k in 2months or less Explain the risk verbally and in an written signed agreements too to avoid misunderstanding in future. You got be clear with the business model and be transparent too And you gotta becareful when you finally get funds from your investor. 1. Don’t spend their money on personal issues aside what you both agreed on 2. Don’t put all the money in an advert except it has proven to be a successful one 3. Meet up with your promises to your investor so you don’t tarnish your reputation I hope this helped. PS: business model number 3 (affiliate marketing) is the best. But then you need to get trained to make real money from it. I recommend you go through this training if you want to start The link is in my signature below . |

Hello Traders today I thought I share some lessons I learnt from the work of a wonderful trader and writer Late Mark Douglas who has probably spoken more extensively on trading psychology than any other trader i know. I hope you pick 1 or 2 things from this post and implement it into your trading right away Consistency In Trading Consistency in Forex requires us learning skills that most people are not used to learning. “Mental Skills” Without developing the right mental skills, it is unlikely that we would be able to do what our trade plans tells us to do without making a no of potential execution errors. No matter how good a technical method is at generating winning trades, turning those winners into a consistent income requires us to do or not do some things that the system itself cannot help us with. E.g 1. Our method cannot force us to pre-define the risk before getting into a trade. 2. Our method cannot force us to take a loss before it ends up becoming a bigger loss. 3. Our method cannot stop us from moving our stop loss close to our entry too soon where the market takes us out and then trades in our anticipated direction. 4. Our method cannot force us from hesitating and getting in too late. 5. Our method cannot stop us from getting in too early where our entry signal never truly develops 6. Our cannot stop us from getting out too early there by leaving money on the table. 7. Our cannot stop us from letting a winning trade turn into a losing trade without having taken any profits. Understanding the Randomness of the Market. All of the above mental errors are a result of thinking and believing that our technical method is telling us what is going to happen on a trade by trade basis. But technical methods are not designed to do that .they are meant to put the odds in our favor over a series of trades. The outcome of the signals generated by a trading system on a trade by trade basis and random and unique,in other words there’s no way to know in advance what the outcome to any particular trade signal will be or what the sequence of wins to losses will be over a series of trades. You need to understand that every moment in the market is unique hence you do not need to know what is going to happen next to make money. all you need is a plan that is Testable, Verfyable and Repeatable. and then just come into the market and repeat the same process day in day out. Become a Contrarian Trader If you want to trade your methodology in an effective fashion, to be able to utilize it in a way where by you can extract the maximum profit that it makes available based on a pattern that it identifies, you have to do it in certain ways. Your mind has to be free to stop you from making trading error. Those errors come from thinking that this trade or the next trade has to be a winner. It is the trader who has learnt to think in probabilities that doesn’t encounter the same trauma the typical trader experiences. When you learn how price moves i.e. when you understand how to read a price chart then you understand how your technical method relates to the market movement and then you begin to understand that, when a collective pattern shows up, it simply means that there is a higher probability of the signal working out than not working out. The problem is that this patterns are based on some sort of mathematical model but what we fail to understand is that mathematical models cannot predict human behavior. So you could have an identical pattern as you did last time yet have two different outcomes. Summary 1.Your overall success is defined over a series of trades and not on a trade by trade basis. 2. Learn to think in probabilities and you will do well as a trader. 3.A trading system is only as good as the person using it . Hence your success as a trader is not determined by your trading system but rather by the state of mind of the trader using the trading system. 4.The successful trader you want to become is a future projection of your self that you will have to grow into. Growth is a process, it takes time but with the passion, patience and dedication, I believe anyone can make it to the 5% category of successful traders in the world. |
